Goes on matte as the label suggests. I have a nude colour that I can wear everyday easily or for the finishing touches to going out makeup. I have applied a gloss on top to give a little change up from the matte finish and worked well. Versatile and user friendly. Have had loads of friends asking what I'm wearing.

Tips: Apply a clear gloss if your feeling adventurous and would like to change things up once in a while
I'm kind of on the fence about this liquid lipstick. If I lived in America and had free shipping for this product, I'd think this is worth it, but alas I do not. Hence why I'm a bit iffy.
When I think of this product, I think: dry. After applying this product - I don't know whether it's the formula or the doe foot applicator itself but - it feels super dry. Like my lips become some kind of rough canvas (mind you I have quite smooth, soft lips) so this was off-putting. Once the formula settles it feels as if I literally just applied paint on my mouth.
The lasting power is typical of a liquid lipstick, and of course fades mostly on the inner lip area, deteriorating rapidly when it comes in contact with oil. I would have rated the product higher if it weren't for the ultra-drying, moisture-sucking effect on my lips. On the plus side, Colourpop do have a wonderful range of shades which caters to all different skintones and the pigmentation is amazing, bringing me back to me being on the fence about this range.
All in all, do I think it's worth the shipping? No. I feel that you could acquire of equal quality or even better liquid lipstick products here in NZ. Do I think it's worth it if I were residing in America? Most definitely, but unfortunately I'm not. If you're not fussed about shipping prices + want a wide range of colours + don't mind having super dry lips, I do recommend. If otherwise, I discourage you.
Tips: Definitely make sure to exfoliate as any dry/chapped areas will be obvious.
I am so impressed with this liquid lipstick. It's my frist liquid lipstick I've purchased but it really did not disappoint. They have a vast range of colours from nudes, reds, purples and even extremely vibrant colours like blue and silver which is super fun! It goes on to the lips so smooth after a good lip scrub and it is highly pigmented. The best part about it is the quality for the price I paid. I bought it off the colourpop website for $6 USD and the formula is perfect. It doesn't transfer and it doesn't feel as drying as some other matte lip products. I can't think of any flaws of this product. I'm already waiting for two more Colourpop liquid lipsticks to arrive!!
When colourpop brought out these I was so excited to find out what these were like. All over instagram I had seen colour swatches . Theres a huge array of colours. What I enjoy about colourpop is that it's priced affordably. Colourpop is a fun modern brand. It's been used by lots of you tubers that Im following at the moment. Before I decided on what colour I wanted I looked up many swatches. Its hard to identify what colour would look right on my skin tone. I joined an international group so I could buy products from overseas easily with others.
Colourpops liquid lipsticks come in large sized tubes clear so you can see colour. This holographic lettering down the side gives it that extra edge . The applicator doe foot is soft and smooth. Your typical shaped wand. The colour I picked is Kapow. Kapow is a greige brown. In its tube it appears to look like a nude but when swatched it turns into a deep brown with an undertone of grey. This consistency is liquid in bottle. Dries within a minute. Theres no scent at all with this one.
When I apply this it glides on my lips so perfectly. No need to keep applying as this colour is truely pigmented. Yay! Beware you do need to prepare your lips with scrub as it does show dry spots . Its not forgiving of dry lips.
This liquid lipstick lasted me four hours solid with eating and drinking. I love how generously sized these tubes are. Bigger than my Lime crime and La Splash. Would I buy it again. Most definately. Colourpop has definately made a formula to rival other brands.
This definitely does what it says it does. Absolutely would buy this again, not too happy with the colour but it's a unique one. If you like bold lips this is it.
Tips: Don't put to many layers on, this can start to make cracks if it's too thick.
I thought that I had found the holy grail of liquid lipstick formulas but it seems Colourpop has too and it is on par with the others.
For the price you would expect this to be cheap, tacky and not dry to a matte, and it did then it would dry your lips out completely. However this is not the case with Colourpop, the formula applies in a soft creamy state, that dries slow enough to allow you to move it around and perfect your lip shape but quick enough that you don't have to walk around waiting for it to dry with my a gape looking like a fish.
So many colours to choose from and then the moment I think I have them all, along comes some more and each one is unique to the others there is no overlap of colour. My favourite is clueless it is the dusky rose of my dream with hints of mauve to keep it almost nude on my lips.
Lips stay hydrated and the colour only fades from my inner spots after a few hours, but the formula isn't stiff that you can just pop a little on those areas without the need to take it all off and start again. Removal is pretty easy too with the use of an oil remover.
I own about 6 ColourPop Ultra Matte Lipsticks.
My first impression was how cute the box is. I love the holographic logo on the box and it is so small and cute! The lipstick itself has very sleek packaging. It is perfect size to fit in my teeny handbag. The ColourPop logo is shiny and stands out. I love how the tube is crystal clear so you can see the exact colour of the lipstick.
Now onto the lippy!
The formula is quite watery but this makes it easy to apply and spread evenly. You need a steady hand for getting those lines crisp as with all liquid lipsticks any mistakes can be quite unforgiving. My collection so far ranges from hot pinks and purples to a deep red. They are all beautiful and every time I wear one (especially the shade "Koala") I always get glowing compliments which - of course! - encourages me to keep wearing them.
they are very long lasting and stick well through eating and drinking - although with a hot drink it can wash away where the hot liquid touches your lips. But overall very impressive staying power. I wear it all day at work and I only need to touch up once after lunch which is great! I work long hours so worrying about shoddy lippy is not part of my day anymore!
The colours are fantastic and the smell isn't too bad. I love how bright the lipsticks are and I am definately a fan!
For only $6 USD per lippy it is fantastic value!
Tips: Exfoliate your lips and apply a thin layer of lip balm to really prime your lips and show off that gorgeous shade!
These products are super affordable and they have a wide range of colours to choose from but they have an ultra drying formula that is really uncomfortable and I find that I can only have them on my lips for a maximum of 3 hours or so before they start to flake off and dry out my lips. Everything from Colourpop is super cheap but their postage is super expensive which makes the products cost way more in total.
Tips: If you want a product thats similar but way easier to wear I would recommend the ultra satin lips by colourpop instead
