Shiseido Controlledchaos Mascaraink

im pretty sure i got this mascara in a BBBE and i'm so stoked. i love mascara, its the only makeup i wear often, so i love trying new ones.

i love the brush. it's nice and soft, and i love that its curvy. the mascara formula is lovely and thick but not so thick it clumps, and wet, but not so wet it drips down your face. it's just. actual perfection.

applies so easily and vavavooms the lashes nicely. is a wonderful shade of black that makes me feel happy and very pretty for 5 minutes. it doesnt flake or smudge or anything, it stays where it's supposed to. i LOVE this mascara. its my new favorite!

I received this mascara in a beauty box and it’s divine. I’ve got 01 Black Pulse. Let’s take a look at the claims: Flake-proof - didn’t notice any flaking, so 10/10 Smudge-resistant - a problem I always have with mascara due to hooded eyes is smudging onto my upper lid, and thankfully this product didn’t budge a smidgeon. 10/10 Clump-resistant - not so sure about this claim. I wouldn’t say my lashes were super clumpy, but there was definitely some clumping going on. The brush is a great shape for getting into the corners, but I think the formula is very thick. So maybe towards the end of the bottle when not so much comes off on the brush then it wouldn’t get clumpy at all. Really long-lasting and adds a lot of volume and length.

I got a sample size of this mascara as a gift with purchase. I love it, the brush applies the product really nicely and evenly. Deep black colour which makes lashes stand out

I recieved this in the BBBE Christmas box and while I like this mascara, it doesn't irritate my eyes at all but I'm unsure if I would pay the expense to use it again. For some reason it almost felt like the tube was half empty upon receiving it and it is now very dry and clumpy so I don't know if this product is really value for money. It does give good volume and looks nice but would be on par with a $12 mascara from a chain store in my honest opinion. Probably wouldn't buy again

Received in the CBBBE. Packaging does look sleek, black with the red stripe. The mascara wand is interesting, wide at the top and bottom but tapers in the middle. Have been using this for a couple of weeks and still in two minds about it. Does give volume and lift, can be built up but does tend to get clumpy so I tend to just do the one coat. Doesn't flake. I'm not overwhelmed by this mascara by any means. I have used more affordable mascaras that have given me more wow. I just wouldn't repurchase this at the price point and the results.

I received this in the Christmas BBBE and was super excited to try it. I love mascara and am always trying out new ones. The problem is I set the standard for mascara against my holy grail EOH so new ones are always going to struggle to get 5 stars from me :) The shade I have is Black Pulse, and the packaging is the usual sleek shiseido style. The brush is an hourglass shape, with decent length/density bristles. The product does live up to the promises of no flaking/smudging but the clumps….the excess product that comes out on the brush is waaaaay too much so you spend ages getting rid of it before even applying it. And no matter how much excess product I got rid of, it was almost impossible to avoid clumping. This is a big no for me - not a product I’ll purchase again.

I received this mascara in a Christmas BBBE. This is a decent dark black with a nice hourglass wand. Unfortunately I found this to clump, smudge and flake so I ended up throwing it out as it wasn't working for me.
