I saw this primer in the beauty vault and had to have it, it sounded so great! It comes in a little white tube with a grey lid, instructions and a little plastic thing to get all the primer out of the tube. My first thought was it was quite a small tube for $88 but I opened it up a squeezed some out, the consistency is quite thick and it is green tinted to hide redness. I applied to my skin and really liked how smooth it felt. The green goes away after you blend it in properly and I found it did hide my redness a bit. It's a great base for my foundation, i found my foundation lasted longer and the fact that it's spf 20 really made it great when I would just wear the primer on its own. I haven't tried many primers before but I don't think I'll be purchasing this one again for an everyday primer because of the price.

Dermalogica is one of my favourite brands for skincare. My dry and sensitive skin needs great quality products and Dermalogica seems to deliver on this.
The packaging comes in its classic white and grey colourway - modern, sleek and just looks high-end. It's in a small tube that's just stands out, with it's well designed look.
The formula is green, which is quite different that I'm used to! It applies beautiful and has a nice consistency. compared to other primers. It absorbs well into your skin and makes it look healthy and refreshed.
It feels so lovely and gentle on my skin. My skin can be dry, sensitive and prone to redness. This just minimises the redness well and delivers what it says.
It's great it also includes an SPF in it, as this is a positive in my opinion.
My makeup lasts well using this primer and my face also feels hydrated. My sensitive skin loves this product and just feels so gentle. I have to say Dermalogica in my opinion makes the most superb primers.
This is definitely a lovely product if you are prone to redness and sensitivity. Quite pricey, but such a lovely product. Dermalogica has made yet another winner here.
Age, sun love, spicy foods and perhaps too good a time in my younger years have seen redness creep in over the years and make its home on my face. This year I decided it was time to sort that out and having heard excellent things about this primer from a friend and having seen the reviews here, I splashed out and picked one up.
First of all, the packaging is typical Dermalogica. Clean, fuss-free, yet attractive.
The product is housed in a squeezy tube and comes out of a tip. It's a thickish consistency and VERY green.
However, once applied to the face you can't see any green! It's quite amazing really. So initially I applied it and didn't see a hint of difference to my redness. Then I went away to do some housework while waiting for the primer to set, came back, and goodness gracious, there was a massive difference. I still saw hints of pink, but the redness was well neutralised.
This is now my go-to primer. It does a great job of making the redness disappear, making it for a non-makeup day. If I'm wearing makeup the product applies on top well, and doesn't slide off or disappear throughout the day.
If redness is an issue for you I would recommend this product. It's not cheap, but it is definitely a case of you get what you pay for.
When I saw this pop up in the Beauty Vault I instantly added it to my list. I've never ever purchased a primer before. I normally just use my regular moisturiser. I have tried a Demelogica Charccoal Mask and it was great. Couldn't wait to give my first primer a try.
This comes in a long tube with the Demelogica labelling running down the side of it. Its nozzle is triangular shaped with a small whole at the end. I wasn't expecting it to be so small. My skin is uneven in skintone but lately I've been getting red cheecks from this cool winter breeze. This texture to me is like a paste similar to mask clay didn't feel like a cream texture which was surprising. Its scent is unusual reminds me of a foundation smell.
Upon application its easy to smooth out. My skin looks green but the more I massage it in , it slowly disappears. This primer sits nicely under my make up. I was surprised that it helped my foundation wear longer. It hid my skin imperfections well. Didn't crease with my fine lines I have.
After trying this primer I definitely need to try more. I've never had my make up last so long. I think it is highly priced and I most likely wouldn't buy it because of that. I believe this is a great primer and a perfect formula. Not keen on the scent but it does the job well.
I was lucky enough to grab in this in the beauty vault. It comes in a slick tube of which it sits on flat on its lid , has an added bonus of a squeeze attachment that enables the user to get the full amount of product out of its tube. Wow that's going the extra mile. It's quite a small sized primer almost equivalent to a deluxe sized samplease and the price is quite exspensive so its expected to be of high quality & I had to admit I wouldn't buy this first of. So again to express my gratitude in being able to purchase with my points thanks BR. Now for the product it's a green toned cream that is silicon based & comparable in texture to the porefessional by Benefit. Also just like that primer it smooths out to be clear on the skin. So as you fingers work it into the skin the green changes but also does your skin the redness is reduced & there is some blurring of the pores & texture although it's isn't the purpose of the primer it does have this effect on my skin. Other added bonuses are that it has a spf 20 included. I've used this with both no makeup & makeup the results left me feeling happy. Happy because it helped with the longevity & wear of my makeup aswell as diminishing the redness. This can be said with wearing it on its own it left me feeling confident that my skin looked ok to go public without looking bashful.
I grabbed this from the latest beauty vault and its a goody. Like most Dermalogica products it lives up to its name. It comes with a really handy wee thing that you attach onto the base and slide it up the tube so you get all the product out! Now thats just clever!! The primer its self is green and quite a nice texture and as soon as you apply its matte look starts hiding those red patches. Ive found it works great under my normal foundation but also just under a bb cream on my days off. Its light weight and feels great so i definitely will keep this as a must have. Will be great to try it over the summer when the redness really hits.
I initially picked this out in the BR Vault and it was the product that I was most excited to receive and redness is the skincare concern I most like to cover with makeup. Unfortunately the courier made a huge muck up and delivered my parcel to someone else! And now it is forever lost. But lucky for me SarahBeautyNZ was happy enough to pass hers on to me.
The packaging for this is really simple like most of the Dermalogica stuff. Just a white squeezy tube with a grey lid. Works well. If you love this product remember to cut it open when you think it is empty as there is always heaps on the inside of these sorts of packages.
The product itself I like that it is SPF20 as I adore layering my SPF on my pale skin. The primer is green coloured which I expected due the anti-redness. The thickness of the primer is the same as most silicone type based ones that I have tried. When you put this on you think that the green tint is going to be quite obvious but it goes away quite quickly as you smooth onto your skin. To be honest I don't think I have found it to reduce my redness as well. It also says it has ingredients in there to calm your skin while you are wearing it, but I don't think it really made any difference to me. This does really sit nicely on my skin and makeup sits really nicely under makeup. I do think it did well at keeping my makeup in place all day.
I don't prefer this over my Benefit Porefessional primer and find that for the price I would expect it to do more than a normal primer. I won't be repurchasing.
The one thing I wanted in the vault, period, when this popped up in there. While I have no issues buying some expensive beauty and skincare products $88 for 22ml is a lot more than I normally spend but when The First Lady says it makes her look more English Rose than Lush, I figure I’m on a winner.
The pack includes a tube of primer, instructions and a tube slide squeeze to make sure that you can get everything out of it. Nice that this gadget was supplied as I do want everything out of this tube for the price.
The ingredient list has chemicals listed that I can’t even pronounce but I can see that this is a silicone based primer. I opened and squeezed the pea green lotion to onto my fingers and applied. The first time I was not sure if I used enough as part of my skin felt it was coated in powder before I applied my foundation. You only need the size of a pea and although it comes out green it isn't visible one the skin once rubbed in. Once I applied my foundation it seemed to glide on. Even the foundation that I curse didn't give me as many issues.
It does have some SPF built in so you know you have a little coverage even if you don't have any other products that contain SPF that day. It also seems to tone down my cheeks a little on application.
The only thing that would stop me getting this again is the price but if I can afford it I would repurchase it
I received this primer in the last beauty vault. It is a product I have been wanting to try for awhile but at $88 has been out of my price range. I have very sensitive skin and suffer from roseaca on my cheeks so I was excited to try this product.
It comes in a narrow white tube with a grey screw on lid. The packaging is typical of their other products. It also comes with a cool wee plastic thing to put on the end of the tube. (this is to squeeze out all of the product so you don’t waste any).
The formula is quite thick and is green but does spread out evenly once applied to your skin. Once on my skin it feels rather velvety and smooth. It also has an SPF of 20 so a nice added bonus. I was left with green traces the first few times I used this primer. I believe the key is the less product the better and lots of blending.
I found that the primer prepped my skin well for make-up application. It evens out my skin texture nicely and my foundation didn't crease into fine lines. It did reduce a small amount of redness in my cheek area also.
I do like this primer but feel I get a good if not much better result from my usual Hourglass primer. The amount of redness reduced was not significant enough to make me want to repurchase this as I feel at the price it should be doing more.
Ive always been a fan of Dermalogica. I love their cleansers. I have been looking for a green primer for a while so I thought Id give this ago as I needed a green primer to reduce the redness on my face.
This primer retails for $88. I know that some of you may think its a bit pricey but I have tried cheaper green primers and they simply just don't work well. I have tried green primers of all consistencies (runny, creamy, tooth paste consistency). All of each having their own pros and cons. The consistency of this dermalogica primer is watery if you dont shake it, once shaken it is a mix between a tad on the pasty side and creamy. I quite enjoyed this primer. It covered all my redness on my face and it covered my large red birthmark. I did not enjoy the smell but that's a small sacrifice to pay. It smells like eucalyptus.
I have repurchased this primer but I am trying to find an alternative. I do recommend this to cover redness. Its the perfect color correcter.
