Quite happy with the colour pay off a little goes along way with these they are shimmery the packaging is nothing special the applicator is nothing great either good pocket sized quad they blend okay but not especially easy though the price is not bad you get what you pay for I like the idea of it being mineral but you have to remember talcum powder is a mineral. They do last a fair amount of time be careful not to get it every where when you apply.

I own the quad in Blooming Romance. The packaging is simple but very heavy duty plastic. The quad includes a fuchsia shimmer, mauve shimmer and a lilac and purple shimmer. I found that aside from the mauve(the darkest shade in the quad) the other colours show up on the eyelid with very little colour payoff and are not very pigmented. The shimmer in the eye shadow also barely shows up on the eyelid. I tried to use all four colours together to create an eyeshadow look but the colours just blended into nothing on the eye. The colours however, once on the eyelid don't crease on the eyelid and stay on all day with an eyelid primer. I wouldn't repurchase these as for the same price I could purchase eyeshadows with much better colour payoff.
I bought the purple quad eyeshadow and thought they were really nice colours and easy to apply. (although don't use the brush it comes with)
Seemed to last quite well, great variety of different shades. But very shimmery, which did not bother me, but I know it isn't everyone's cup of tea
I used to wear it when I went out at night, probably not a casual day. Great value for the price though and I would purchase again.
I got given this by my mother in law because she doesn't wear eyeshadow, so I gave it a go, and I was pleasantly surprised. The eyeshadow stays on for a long time, it blends well, and it creates a great look. I have used this eyeshadow over and over again, and create different looks with it, I do like it quite a lot.
I bought the purple quad on a whim one day, just to see what this range was like. I didnt think the packaging was that great and I used my own brushes, but I feel realistically for the price you pay you cant expect too much. I always use a primer and would recommend using one with this range. It applies quite easily and I thought it was quite pigmented. You can do a number of looks with one palette and should be reasonably happy with the results. I didnt think the colour stayed on as long as other ranges, so I think this would be suited to a younger person just starting out with make up.
It came off with my usual eye makeup remover. This might be a good Christmas or Birthday present for
These were my first ever eyeshadows when I started wearing makeup. I had the purple and blue ones and only just recently came across them while shifting. Needless to say they ended up in the rubbish as they were old and we'll used.
As a beginner I thought these were great! I only ever wore one colour out of the four at a time and never did anything adventurous with them as I didn't know any better at the time. I never wore a primer and I applied them with my finger (Shock!)
What I do remember is that they weren't they greatest for pigment but the colour did build up. They didn't last the whole day on the lid they eventually dulled (maybe different with a primer?) and they felt rather chalky. But as a young 20 year old with not alot of money I wasn't complaining because they did the job.
The packaging very simple and plain. Square plastic compact with four colours and a sponge applicator. Now with having a little more knowledge I would definitely attempt to use these with a eyeshadow brush.
For the price I think you can find better, these might be good for a little girl/tween who is experimenting with makeup or starting out.
The Designer Brands Eyeshadow quads are really like any other lookwise.
I think they are all designed to have the whitest shade in the top left pan and then other other lighter shade beside it with the darker colours below. I particularly like the charcoal quad as it has great colours for a smokey eye.
This type of palette I keep in my handbag because it closes well and is nice and flat in my bag, but wip it out and I can create a dramatic eye look in seconds.
I think DB products are also vegan and cruelty free, which is why I chose this to replace my MIKI quad, because I'm not so sure about them. This quad also doesn't contain parabens which is something I'm really keeping an eye on in cheaper make up.
In terms of how they eyeshadow wore, I didn't think it lasted as well as most of my other eyeshadows, but primer can add a little bit of life to them. Pigmentwise they also weren't as pigmented, but the colour could be built up and again primer can help hold the stronger colour on the lid.
Overall the performance wasn't amazing but the ingredients were an improvement.
With the right brush the DB eye shadows aren’t too bad especially for the price you pay. You do have to build up the colour gradually as they colours don’t come up very well unless you use quite a bit.
Tips: Use in combination with other better eyeshadows with more pigment
I bought the palete that included an off white, matte sandy brown, matte deep brown and a shimmery bronze brown colour. Very cheap product but not bad for a beginner eyeshadow user like myself. What attracted me most was the 'mineral' description in the name. I have quite sensitive eyelids and I've been scouring shops and websites looking for eyeshadows that wont irritate. The good brands are quite pricey so I wanted to try out this product first to practice with before I invest in the better quality stuff. This didn't cause any irritation and although the colours seemed to fade throughout the day I'm not sure if its the product or if my technique needs working on. Overall for the price I find it worth trying out.
Once upon a time when I first started with eyeshadows this was my go to brand as they are cheap and affordable. I owned every quad they actually had available to purchase.
I found that these shadows all had amazing pigmentation and all over the shadows are shimmers but they are still wearable. They were easy to blend out but the lasting power isn't the greatest so I would definitely recommend using a primer.
The packaging maybe cheap and ugly but you can't expect it to look fabulous when you read the brand name and look at the price tag.
However, since working and earning money I tend to stay away from this brand as I can spend more money on better quality products. I do still recommend these shadows being great for teenagers or even if you are a complete newbie to eyeshadow.
