I purchased this off iherb for $3, such it was such a cheapie Im not too bothered that I didn't love it. It had a very chemical smell, not the usual fragrance cosmetics have. I swatched it on my hand next to Mac lustre drops and benefit high beam and the shimmer was very compatible, however the elf product was a lot thicker and didn't blend as well. My tube also had a tiny black dot in it which was a bit random so unfortunately it ended upon the bin. It is well packaged in a little squeezey tube and for the money it does the job.

Tips: Blend with fingers and work quickly as it drags on the skin. A little goes a long way.
I brought these in three colours, Pink Lemonade, Persimmon and Golden Peach after reading great things on Pinterest about it. I must say I was disappointed with the whip, I found it rather thick n tacky and hard to spread. The colours are lovely so maybe I just need alittle more practice at apply it. Brought mine online - cant remember exactly where. I also see iHerb and Kmart stock it.
Tips: Very thick, alittle goes along way.
I expected this product to be more pigmented than it actually was, i found that there wasn't much of a difference with or without this product. It was very affordable so i am not too bothered this product didnt work out for me but I think the product isnt very pigmented, no real differences observed. However i may go and purchase another shade (pink lemonade). I heard these were dupes for benefits high beam but so far have not been convinced.
This is my very first try of Elf products. Elf is known for being accessible on iherb, which one day soon I hope to make an order. I got my Elf facial whip from Kmart. There was lots of products in their stand that I was tempted to try. I wanted a new highlighter. The one I have has a bronze base, where as this one appeared to be very different.
This Elf shimmering whip comes in this small tube. The nozzle on this bottle is easy to control the lotion. The texture of it is like a lotion but a little bit sticky. The colour of this whip looks like a pale pink inside the bottle. When applied its more shimmery, no colour is visable.
When I applied this to my check bones it gave them a slight sparkle. I enjoy the glow that I get with this . This highlight is a very metallic shimmery glow.
For three dollars a tube I thought it was a bargain. I probably wont buy this again. I think the highlighting is there. I seems sticky at first but it does eventually blend out. Overall and ok product.
To be honest this product has left me slightly confused! The packaging claims I could use this pretty much anywhere on my face.
The tube is very small, a little unexpected but not surprised, think I paid $3 off Iherb. The got the colour shown in the photo. It comes out a LOT lighter than expected which I was a bit dissappointed with.
The product is sooo dry & hard to blend or smooth out, almost thinking of having to mix it with a moisturiser or oil?! Once it is blended it leaves a nice glow.
Dont think I would repurchase.
I purchased this item in the shade "Lilac petal" from iherb for approximately $3. The tube is VERY tiny, smaller than I expected, but not bad for the price. Lilac petal is very pretty shimmery pink colour (however the colour does not show up much on the skin, mainly just the shimmer). The product itself has a texture very much like a lipgloss when squeezed out of the tube, and smells really good, sweet and kind of fruity, like candy! I bought this for highlighting my cheekbones. I tried applying with my fingers, a beauty blender, and a stippling brush but no matter how i applied it, it just didn't look right. I think that this could be because I have oily, acne skin, and this highlighter seemed to draw attention to this. Also I didn't like how sticky it felt on my skin, it just didn't seem to set. (I have since switched to a powder highlighter, and it seems much more flattering). But I feel like this could be a good product for people with different skin types to me. Although i do think it is a bit hard to blend, It is good value, and very pretty- just not on me!
Tips: Use a very light hand with a small amount or product, or it looks way too shiny! Not good for oily & acne prone skin in my experience.
I bought Spotlight (the white shade) for just a few bucks, figured I couldn't go wrong. The colour itself is so pretty, a sparkly white cream - perfect for an eyeshadow when I was a teenager! However, I'm a total novice at highlighting and I didn't really know how to make it work - it just looks shiny and unnatural. I also have dry skin and find it clings to the dry patches. With just a 6 month shelf life, its a small tube but you only use a little, it will go a long way. Its fun to play with but I don't believe it is lip or eye safe, which is a shame because it would be perfect to layer over eyes or lips.
When I first purchased this product, I bought the white pearl one. I used it as a highlighter for the top of my cheekbones but I hated it! I found it really hard to blend in even when I only used a tiny amount of product. So after that I decided to get rid of it and I wrote a review on here saying how much I disliked it!
Anyway, I noticed that other peoples reviews had them saying that they had mixed it in with their foundation to give it a dewy look. I thought this sounded like a good idea and because it is so cheap I thought, why not give it another go.
So this time I bought the peach one. I mix a small amount into my foundation before applying and then put on my face as normal. It makes my skin look all glowy and healthy. I actually really like it for this purpose. Never again would I use it for a 'pop' of shimmer as it suggests but I would definitely recommend putting into your foundation for a luminous glow.
Tips: Use sparingly, remember you don't want to out glow the sun!!
I have the shade lilac petal.
It's a decent enough product but I don't really find myself using it. Something about it just isn't quite right and it doesn't look like I thought it would. I think I'll give it another go and maybe try a small amount with a stippling brush.
The smell is pretty intense. Not too sure if I'm keen. I've tried adding this to foundation and I think it works better this way although it did effect the wear of the foundation and made me a wee bit oily by the end of the day.
Overall I think it's decent but not amazing. For $4 it's worth trying but don't expect it to be a holy grail.
I may have just got the wrong colour (Pink Lemonade) but this product looked too wet on my face and made my skin go overly pink. Not only did it look horrible but it also felt horrible too, this facial whip made my face feel sticky and my hair kept getting stuck on my cheek bones where the product was.
