I come from a family of makeup & beauty proffessionals, and when they heard i wasnt "priming" it was like i had killed their cat & stashed it in the freezer! CRIME OF THE CENTURY. being a bride to be on a budget i went on the hunt for a primer that I could try out, and I found this green colour correcting godess from ELF at Kmart of all places, thought i would give it a go and I was shocked! I love it, i typicaly have red cheeks and this helped to mask that, my makeup goes on evenly and I love the silky smooth feel! it also helps to remove any last remenants of makeup i may not have removed from around my eyes, Thank you ELF for providing a great product! i only need a small amount to do my whole face, and it goes on evenly without a yucky feel afterwards. my only complaint is the packaging is a tad misleading, you don't get nearly as much as it seems you do, however at a small price, i'm not too bothered by this.

Tips: 2 small pumps is by far enough for your whole face!
I liked this product but it was nothing ‘wow’. I too was deceived by the bottle - I thought it held a LOT more product than it actually does, so when the pump stopped working I assumed it was a problem with the pump when really there was only a little bit of product left. Luckily the bottle is easy to disassemble and I was able to get every last bit of product out, and a little does go a long way.
The product goes on smooth, and seemed to correct oiliness when first applied, but I’m not convinced that it kept oil at bay. And while this is a nice cheap primer which definitely helped prevent dry flakiness and overall prepped my skin for makeup, I didn’t feel it really counteracted redness. If you actually have rosacea or excessive redness, this product alone is not going to address it. But if you’re looking to try a primer for the first time, or are on a limited budget, this one’s a good one to pick up for everyday use.
As a primer, I love Elf - it makes my face smoother and the foundation glide on easier. However, as someone who suffers from mild rosacea I was really hoping that this would help with redness, which it did not. I would buy this again as I like the actual product, however I do not think I would recommend this to a friend as it does not exactly do what it promises.
Pretty cheap but not too nasty. It’s a good enough primer, I mean you could definitely find a better one, but maybe not for $6. So you get what you paid for.
As for the tone adjusting: it does not work. My skin is pretty evenly toned apart from some redness around my nose and mouth/chin, and a red patch on my jaw. Green is supposed to cancel out red, but all of those areas remained just as red as before, so not really impressed with those claims.
i find this primer to be very average but does the job, its good to have if you have a primer emergency like if you run out of your usual,
This is a great primer for the price that it is, has a lovely texture and i found it helped set my makeup perfectly leaving a flawless finish and not a lot of product is needed.
I purchased this off iHerb as my normal primer had run out and they were sold out of the clear one I was going to try out. This comes out bright green which is a little scary but when you smooth onto skin it goes clear. It has a silicone type feel and is quite thick in consistency. You will only need one pump of this for your whole face which makes this product super economical. I suffer from some slight redness on my cheeks and around my nose but nothing major but it did dull this down making it less noticeable however I don't know how great it would work on people with more redness than me. The packaging is nice and the pump works well but the lid never stays on properly but this doesn't really worry me because the pump doesn't leak or anything. The bottle is only 14 grams which is about half the size of most primers.
Tips: Purchase off iHerb for $6
I purchased this because it was cheap and I needed a new primer asap. I didn't know that I would find my hg primer! It makes my skin feel so smooth and my foundation looks a lot better with it on. My skin feels so silky smooth after applying it! You honestly need a pea sized amount to go over the entire face as a little goes a long way. Will definitely be repurchasing.
I was a tad skeptical when I first bought this, despite the rave reviews I have read. The colour is almost an avocado green and I had an image of it going on like a gloopy face mask.
The pump-style packaging is really good, allowing you to disperse just the right amount. The frosted cylinder lets you see just how much product you have left, so you know when to repurchase!
The formula is light and siliconey and goes on silky-smooth, easily absorbing into my skin. It really did help my foundation stay put all day and didn't give an oily effect that some other primers I have tried has. The formula itself reminded me a lot of Revlon's Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer which I LOVED. It also helped dull down some of the redness in my skin, so a win-win there!
I really like this primer and will definately be purchasing again, another win for ELF.
I have tried this primer in the tone adjusting green colour. It comes in a plastic bottle that looks like frosted glass, with a pump to easily get the right amount of product out.
I found that the green colour didn’t do a lot to cover my redness but I still really enjoyed using it. I only need about 2 pumps to cover my entire face. The primer fills in fine lines and makes my face feel silky smooth for a flawless make-up application. I haven’t noticed a dramatic difference in how long my makeup lasts though when I’m wearing this or not.
There is one thing that really bothers me about this primer, and that is that there isn’t nearly as much product in the bottle as you think. When you open it and unscrew the lid to get the last of it out, you see that the container holding the product is tiny. It’s probably less than a quarter of the size of the actual bottle and the entire tube is a green colour, so its not actually the product you can see from the outside of the bottle.
Although I did like the feel of this primer, I won’t be repurchasing as I feel like the product is deceiving with the amount in the bottle. For the price you would pay for this primer in NZ I will probably try something else now that mine’s finished.
