This product did not give me the effect that I wanted. It did not really help cover the redness/pink of my cheeks. I do like the formula though and it felt really nice when I put it on.

Primers. I have never been a fan, of any!
I purchased this primer from iherb.com after hearing great things about e.l.f primers. I wanted the original however they were out of stock so I purchased this instead.
Lovely packaging for how cheap the product is. Frosted bottle which shows off the green tinted product, I love how this product has a pump. One pump is all you need as this product goes a long way!!
This is green tinged silicone based Primer. I do not feel the green does anything for the appearance of redness, as you rub it out the green seems to just dissipate. I really HATE the feeling of the silicone on my skin... it actually makes me cringe! It does make foundation application easier however I feel like it makes your foundation slip throughout the day and you end up looking quite shiny and patchy.
If you love Primers and Silicone based and feel they work for you and your skin/foundation then I would totally recommend giving this a go as it really is so cheap. I do not love it but will continue to try it on and off with different foundations. I don't think there would be much difference between this and the original Primer so if you are unable to get original then give this one a go.
E.L.F is by far one of my favourite brands in the market ...and my bank account also agrees! After spending hours online on E.L.F & iHerb, noticing that everyone else has also falling for them as there wasn't much stock left... I went down to Kmart in Albany to see what they had in stock. Thankfully I went at the right time as this little gem was in stock.
I opted for the "Tone Adjusting Green" E.L.F Mineral Infused Face Primer as I tend to get a little red in the face, this was my first tone adjusting primer I have used. Now the texture is like velvet, as it is a silicone-based Primer. I found the texture very similar to Smashbox. Now I haven't been the biggest fan of this texture of primer as it's just a strange feeling on the skin, but after applying the E.L.F Mineral Infused Face Primer my face appeared smoother, though still slightly red. It was the perfect base for my foundation, made application a dream.
Unfortunately I have combination skin, after a couple of hours my nose is rather shiny and my foundation is running away. Possibly just need to re-touch with powder.
Tips: A small pump is enough for application, a little goes along way.
This is just fab. It's super cheap off iherb so I buy a few at a time. I suffer from red cheeks so this helps correct it. It's soooo soft and velvety on my skin. It helps my foundation go on like a dream and last longer.
Tips: There isn't much in each bottle so stock up if you're buying off iherb!
Aside from my MAC primer this is my FAVE!!!! Feels so silky smooth going on and smells so good. I feel like I don't ever want to put makeup on afterwards. I don't find the toning agent very good though, seems to be just as red afterwards however this may just be my skin
Tips: Make sure you have clean hands!
I personally really live this primer I use the clear one for every day use for work and it's sooo good !! My foundation slides on so easy and with my beauty blender it really does make my skin look dewy. I love the feeling of it when it goes on to your skin and removing make up after work is so much easier. I also have the primer in radiant glow but only use this when I go out because the shimmer in it can be too overwhelming during the day in the sun you look like a vampire of twilight
Tips: I apply mine with a paddle foundation brush, particularly because with this product a little goes a long way and red brush ensures an even spread on my face xx
I'm not sure if I would buy this again to be honest. I like the packaging, but I'm pretty sure the primer is only in a small bit inside, so the bottle is quite deceptive - you get less product than you would think.
The price is very reasonable for a primer, but when I put it on there is a weird unpleasant chemical smell that I really don't like. It hasn't reacted with my skin or caused a breakout (yet) but the smell - yuck. I haven't seen anyone else mention the smell though so maybe I just got a weird batch..?
It does its job as a primer pretty well, my foundation goes on nice and smoothly. I don't see any difference in redness though so I think the "tone adjusting green" is rubbish.
I'll keep using it till it runs out but after that I think I'll have to buy a more expensive, non smelly primer.
Tips: Block your nose! It smells!!
I adore the elf range of primers. They have become an absolute necessity in my daily beauty regime and I wouldn't be without them.
In saying that, this particular green primer is probably my least favourite in the range. Yes, it is a superb primer, leaving my skin feeling incredibly smooth and providing a wonderful base for my makeup, but I just don't seem to be able to see any benefit from the green anti-redness toner.
I unfortunately suffer from quite a bit of redness in my complexion and the idea of a green toner to help with this is really appealing, but having tried this particular green product for a couple of months now, I've never seen any difference in my skin tone between my bare skin and my primed skin. Which is a real pity as I'd like to see some benefit, especially given that the primer looks somewhat swamp-like with it's algae green colouring.
Tips: I wouldn't bother going for this if you're looking for a green toner, but if you're after a great primer, then give this a try or go for it's more visually appealing clear cousin.
I absolutely love this primer, it works wonders and is sooo affordable! I feel naked if I don't use my primer first and I feel like it makes my make up last and look so much better!
Tips: Apply with brush to get even amount on skin :)
I bought this primer at the same time I bought the clear version of this. I have quite a lot of redness on and around my nose and was hoping this primer would help correct this. I find it works great as a primer (See my review for the clear version as I find it exactly the same) however personally I don't think it does anything to combat redness because this product is far too sheer to correct any red tones.
I have tried using this primer on one half of my face and the clear version on the other side of my face after using just the green one and seeing no obvious difference. With the two side by side I could still see no difference and neither could my family. Although this product is scarily green in the packaging, they weren't lying when they said it was sheer!
So basically this is a great cheap silicone based primer but it doesn't do anything to correct the redness on my face (maybe i'm just too red!). I wouldn't recommend it to someone looking to cover redness as I don't believe it works for that however I will finish the product and would use it again (if the clear version wasn't available) as a regular face primer. Hope this helps!
