I'm not sure if I would buy this again to be honest. I like the packaging, but I'm pretty sure the primer is only in a small bit inside, so the bottle is quite deceptive - you get less product than you would think.
The price is very reasonable for a primer, but when I put it on there is a weird unpleasant chemical smell that I really don't like. It hasn't reacted with my skin or caused a breakout (yet) but the smell - yuck. I haven't seen anyone else mention the smell though so maybe I just got a weird batch..?
It does its job as a primer pretty well, my foundation goes on nice and smoothly. I don't see any difference in redness though so I think the "tone adjusting green" is rubbish.
I'll keep using it till it runs out but after that I think I'll have to buy a more expensive, non smelly primer.
E.L.F is by far one of my favourite brands in the market ...and my bank account also agrees! After spending hours online on E.L.F & iHerb, noticing that everyone else has also falling for them as there wasn't much stock left... I went down to Kmart in Albany to see what they had in stock. Thankfully I went at the right time as this little gem was in stock.
I opted for the "Tone Adjusting Green" E.L.F Mineral Infused Face Primer as I tend to get a little red in the face, this was my first tone adjusting primer I have used. Now the texture is like velvet, as it is a silicone-based Primer. I found the texture very similar to Smashbox. Now I haven't been the biggest fan of this texture of primer as it's just a strange feeling on the skin, but after applying the E.L.F Mineral Infused Face Primer my face appeared smoother, though still slightly red. It was the perfect base for my foundation, made application a dream.
Unfortunately I have combination skin, after a couple of hours my nose is rather shiny and my foundation is running away. Possibly just need to re-touch with powder.
Tips: A small pump is enough for application, a little goes along way.
