As I have sensitive skin and red undertones, this does seem to cover the redness very well for a $5 primer. Although I love a Dewey finish and this has a Matt effect so it’s a pass for me but it does it job

Tips: Maybe build with another primer
I purchased this off iHerb as my normal primer had run out and they were sold out of the clear one I was going to try out. This comes out bright green which is a little scary but when you smooth onto skin it goes clear. It has a silicone type feel and is quite thick in consistency. You will only need one pump of this for your whole face which makes this product super economical. I suffer from some slight redness on my cheeks and around my nose but nothing major but it did dull this down making it less noticeable however I don't know how great it would work on people with more redness than me. The packaging is nice and the pump works well but the lid never stays on properly but this doesn't really worry me because the pump doesn't leak or anything. The bottle is only 14 grams which is about half the size of most primers.
Tips: Purchase off iHerb for $6
I personally really live this primer I use the clear one for every day use for work and it's sooo good !! My foundation slides on so easy and with my beauty blender it really does make my skin look dewy. I love the feeling of it when it goes on to your skin and removing make up after work is so much easier. I also have the primer in radiant glow but only use this when I go out because the shimmer in it can be too overwhelming during the day in the sun you look like a vampire of twilight
Tips: I apply mine with a paddle foundation brush, particularly because with this product a little goes a long way and red brush ensures an even spread on my face xx
I was seriously SHOCKED at how good this primer is for its price! I really couldnt believe that it gave me the same silky feel of another skin as the Porefessional gave me! This will definitely be replacing my expensive primers; and I would recommend all the girls to try it! If you put too much it will feel kinda oily/over silky.. So the less the better
Tips: Just use a small pea size dollop! The less the better
I noticed a reduction in the redness in my cheeks. For the price I think this is a really great product and I will continue to use it.
I purchased this because it was cheap and I needed a new primer asap. I didn't know that I would find my hg primer! It makes my skin feel so smooth and my foundation looks a lot better with it on. My skin feels so silky smooth after applying it! You honestly need a pea sized amount to go over the entire face as a little goes a long way. Will definitely be repurchasing.
I haven't had a lot of experience with primers. The first one I bought made my skin sting, I then got a Revlon one - which I was happy enough with, but not the smell and I didn't feel it was amazing. So when I found this one on iHerb so cheap, I thought I would give it a go. Really happy I did. It glides on so well, and leaves my skin feeling smooth ready for my make up. Most importantly for me, no stinging and no break outs!
I have a lot of acne scarring which is quite red, rather than pitted. I admit I didn't believe that the green would actually adjust the red tones, so I did a half and half of make up on my face - and I was impressed that it really did make a difference. My make up lasted so much longer without a touch up, I kept checking it throughout the day the first time, not believing how well it was doing.
My two negatives about the product - Firstly it drys out in the tip of the pump quickly, so the first pump often goes a bit crazy. Secondly my plastic lid falls off ALL the time, it doesn't click down very well.
I really like this product though and will definitely be purchasing again!
I have been an ELF user from way back when the jewelry store BLING used to sell it. This primer is 100000 times better than most other primers that are double the price. It is a clear gel that rubs in with a smooth velvety finish and feels absolutely amazing on the skin. I would think that it would be most suitable for normal/combination skins. I have friends that swear by this but the only reason I don't use it every day is because due to my super oily t-zone the only thing that keeps the shine away is Porefessional. Otherwise, anyone who is considering buying this absolutely needs too!
I am new to having a primer experience, and I can't believe I've been missing out. As soon as I put it on my skin, I stood there with my mouth wide open running my fingers around my face. Unbelievable.
First I do want to talk about the packaging. The product looks like a decent size of any normal foundation bottle, but I managed to open it up, and a much smaller container comes out and you can see that there is way less product in there than you think. I think it'll probably only last one month if used everyday but in saying that, the price is very reasonable.
It comes out in a nice clear gel, and blends in so very quickly and smoothly. My skin feels like a baby! Like a brand new baby fresh out the womb! Omg. It is unbelievable smoothness, and I'm considering even throwing out my moisturiser and using this everyday instead. It makes the very large pores visibly smaller and creates an amazing base for the foundation to go on after. But I doesn't exactly work for the smaller pores, or take the redness of my skin away.
There is no smell to it, and I haven't broken out, or had a sensitive skin outburst so all good signs there.
I noticed that it works better on some areas of the face than others. It was more effective in smoothening and decreasing the look of pores on my cheeks then it was on my nose.
I applied this on my mum's face which is very very oily, and it had a really gross affect, that only made her skin appear and feel wet, so I don't recommend it if you do have very touchably oily skin.
I really enjoy using the e.l.f primers; they're fairly cheap and work well as a primer. However, I haven't noticed a difference between the primers and they don't seem to be very effective for tone adjusting/fixing redness/etc.
They apply easily and feel nice and smooth, but don't really live up to the expectations advertised. However, for the price,I definitely recommend them for a day-to-day primer.
