e.l.f Baked Goodness

Almost as good as my nana's baking [see what I did there (; ] I watched YouTube videos that raved about the e.l.f baked blushes so I bought some online. Really pleased I did as they achieve some gorgeous, glamorous looks.

Pinktastic: I use this when I want a really highlighted look. I apply highlighter then use this over my normal blush to blend it when I want a highlighted, Kardashian, look. The top layer of the blush was quite gold but after a few uses it got more pink. Really happy with the look, its a soft shimmery pink. You could also use Pinktastic just as a highlighter above your normal blush on your cheek bones.

Passion Pink: A bronze/pink colour. I wear it on days when I'm after a very bronzed look. Much like Pinktastic, once you get past the initial layer of the product you do get more of the soft pink colour.

With both my blushes the packaging is quite cheap and plastic, if you do travel with these products best to be very careful. The colours aren't very pigmented so you do have to really get your brush in there to get some colour. Even when I swatch with my finger I have to rub my finger in the product quite a lot to get it to pick up the colour. Easy to build up and blend however.

I will be buying both these colours again and will most likely purchase the other shades in the collection to see what they're like too!

Tips: Pinktastic: doubles as a highlighter too

So affordable and blends wonderfully

If you are looking for a more affordable blush that has build-able coverage look no further! I have purchased these baked blushes by Elf and I am pleasantly surprised with the results. Don't be put off by the intense glitter as it doesn't come off that full on. Try them out!!!

Such a cute blush!

I have this in Passion Pink and I love the color. It has a lot of shimmer which didn't show up on the photo on the website. In real life this could probably be used as a bit of a highlighter or for strobing? I tried using this as good old blush and I think it's pretty good for its price. The color isn't extremely pigmented but shows as a really youthful pink/copper kind of color. The fallout of loose powder when I tried picking up was a downside but when I wet the brush slightly I found it much easier to pick up color. It was super windy today and I was happily surprised to find that this stayed on for a whole afternoon out despite my hair smacking into my face constantly. Also I like how the packaging is very simplistic and to the point.

Cheap and amazing

I recently got this product a couple of months ago and I have to say, for a cheap product (iherb.com for $2 US), I am very impressed! First of all, the packaging is super cute. It looks very elegant with the marbled colour. When it comes to application, it goes on really nicely. It feels very velvety on your skin and is extremely pigmented. For a cheaper branded product, it is amazing. The only criticism I have is that it is a little too shimmery for my taste. But overall, highly recommended!

Peachy Cheeky

This was part of an order I did a few months ago from ELF. I hadn't used a baked blush before and I thought this looked beautiful.

In its pan, this looks like a peach coloured dome with bronze veining. It appears quite shimmery. When I first used this I was rather annoyed because it seems to have a kind of hard overspray which means you can't get a lot of product on your brush. I found that by running your finger over it repeatedly this wears the overspray down and you're good to go.

This is a stunning peach colour that is subtle. It has a shimmery finish to it, so if you like matte blushes - then skip this. However, if you like your blush to have a glow and shimmer to it then this is right up your alley.

As well as using this as a blush, I like to apply it lightly as a highlight. Because the peach isn't super pigmented unless you build it up, you can get away with using this as a highlight. It gives your face a little warmth and the sheen looks amazing. I have also used this as a natural looking eyeshadow with no problems.

I would definitely recommend this and I will repurchase it once I have used it all up. You get a lot of product in this so I imagine it is going to take me a long time to get through this.

Tips: Can be used as a blush, highlight and eyeshadow.

Elf Baked Blush - Peachy Cheeky

I only had one blush and wanted to try some more, so I added Peachy Cheeky to my iHerb order. Really glad I did. Wish they had more colours on there!

The packaging is good, just a nice pan. The blush is a nice light peachy pink. It's not hugely pigmented but that's ok, its very buildable. (I'm pretty fair though, darker skin tones it might work better as just a highlight.)

I love the shimmer - I have used it as a highlight with my other blushes as well (slowly building a collection now)

For the price I think this blush is amazing!

Tips: When you first open it don't be discouraged if not much comes off on your brush - there seems to be a film on the top that needs to be worn off first (this might be normal for baked blushes, this is my first though)

Elf- my best friend :)

I Have the Peachy Cheeky one and its devine! i am incredible happy with this product, they are super super pigmented so use a light hand otherwise youll apply way too much. I love how it has gold shimmers through it but it doesnt come off glittery or chunky it just adds a nice sheen to your face, also nice as a highlight :) They are very buttery in consistency and blend out very well. Defiantly worth the price!

Tips: Use lightly as they are very pigmented

After the initial layer

I bought one of these blushers off iHerb a while ago and thought it was utter crap, there was no pigmentation, no product really getting on the brush and i was really disappointed that it wasn't living up to the raving reviews. After a while it was shifted to the back of the drawer and forgotten about.

A few weeks ago i commented on a blush my friend was wearing and she told me it was the same shade i had, i asked her how she had applied it because i couldnt get any on my brush and she said she really hadnt had much luck with it untill she had used it quite a few times.

I went home and swirled my brush over it for about 2-3 minutes untill i could see some powder showing up on my brush. You really need to work past that initial surface crust before youll get any good colour pay off out of this, After the surface crust is out of the way i fell in LOVE with this blush and plan to buy a few other shades.
