Great value for the price

I love e.l.f's products. I think they are really good quality at a really good price. That is why I was excited to try their baked blush in Peachy Cheeky when I had the opportunity to buy it.

I am naturally very pale, so I have to be careful when applying blush as it is very easy for it to look overdone on me. I also suit cool tones, so cool pinks are recommended, as well as peach shades that are not too warm. E.l.f's baked blush is a light, shimmery peach colour that is not too orange. It is so shimmery that it is almost more like a highlighter that has blush in it, rather than the other way around!

This colour goes on very lightly, however, it is also easy to build up in intensity. It compliments my pale complexion very well, and looks very natural on me.

Tips: Build up the colour until you achieve the intensity that you want. The product also has a baked film on the outside, so you need to break through that before it will apply properly.

Wouldn't repurchase

This blush has to be wet for pigment to transfer onto the skin which I didn't mind as it is a baked blush. Although the blush has more shimmer and glitter in it than blush pigment, I wouldn't recommend if you like a matte blush. The shimmer in it left my pores looking huge and the colour was unflattering.

Multi purpose product

This is advertised as a blush but i also use it as an eyeshadow and a highlight. I love multi purpose products and love them even more when they are at a great price! Super affordable and lots of product. The packaging is flimsy so be careful when opening and how you store it, i would keep it upright at all times and away from heavier objects that could crush the plastic lid. At first it was chalky but that wore off after a couple uses and i suspect it was just a covering film. The product lasts better on top of a base for better colour pay off and longevity. I found that without a base on the face or eyes that it would fade away into the day. Perfect for a quick brush over the eye lids, highlight or blush and easy to use.

e.l.f Baked Blush

I have used this product in two different shades and found whilst the colour was nice, they were just way too shimmery for my taste. The second I looked at it in the light, it looked like I had been dusted with glitter, which, while pretty, was not what I wanted from a blush. Other than that, they tend to wear well, I would often come home from 8 hour days with the blush still visible and no need to reapply.

Tips: Use minimally:)

Elf Baked Blush - Peachy Cheeky

I only had one blush and wanted to try some more, so I added Peachy Cheeky to my iHerb order. Really glad I did. Wish they had more colours on there!

The packaging is good, just a nice pan. The blush is a nice light peachy pink. It's not hugely pigmented but that's ok, its very buildable. (I'm pretty fair though, darker skin tones it might work better as just a highlight.)

I love the shimmer - I have used it as a highlight with my other blushes as well (slowly building a collection now)

For the price I think this blush is amazing!

Tips: When you first open it don't be discouraged if not much comes off on your brush - there seems to be a film on the top that needs to be worn off first (this might be normal for baked blushes, this is my first though)

Elf- my best friend :)

I Have the Peachy Cheeky one and its devine! i am incredible happy with this product, they are super super pigmented so use a light hand otherwise youll apply way too much. I love how it has gold shimmers through it but it doesnt come off glittery or chunky it just adds a nice sheen to your face, also nice as a highlight :) They are very buttery in consistency and blend out very well. Defiantly worth the price!

Tips: Use lightly as they are very pigmented

Pretty but very very shimmery

If you like shimmer this is your thing - I could tell it would be pearlescent from how it looks in the pan (I chose the shade rich rose a more bronzy/peach than rose shade really the name is quite misleading), but it was alot more glittery than I first thought I would not recommend this if you have large pores as this will make them look huge. Gives a nice glow and can't complain about the pigmentation at all, however sadly this is too shimmery for me and it also broke me out horribly - little cyst like bumps all over my cheeks for a few days after applying. Nice but not for me.

Bling Blush

I loooooove peachy coloured blusher so had to buy this when I saw it. Unfortunately it's not my most favourite ever because it's a tad too shimmery and I don't find the pigment that great unless you build and build which results in more and more shimmer. I think I'm too old for that much shimmer :( That being said I do still use it as a very subtle highlighter over my non-shimmery peach blusher. If you were born to shimmer and shine this will be your thing :)

Amazing Little Gem!

I think this is such a gorgeous little find, so cheap (Personally got mine from beautyjoint) and is almost like a highlighter. I use the colour cheeky peachy-which is a gorgeous light peach type of shade. Yes it has a shimmer, which i love because doubles as a highlight. If yu aren't into shimmer, you wont love that side of it. But this really is gorgeous-I dont often repurchase things but ill def repurchase this. Not too harsh like some Blush

A subtle glow rather than a blush

I got the colour peachy cheeky a while ago when the rave reviews were flying around for this blush but after using it lots I dont share the same sentiments as those who rave about it.

Firstly its labelled as a blush and it shouldnt be. Its not pigmented enough to be a blush and its sparkly as hell. Its looks like you've been attacked by glitter fairies if you wear this as a blush! Secondly the lasting power is not that of a blush. I apply it and literary watch it blow off my face.

So I dont use it as a blush but rather as a top over a matte blush and will use only the tiniest amount. When using this on top of a blush it gives your cheeks a glow but without all the sparkle. I only wear this at night when I want more than a highlighter and I want my cheeks to pop out.

I plan to use this until Ive finished it but will not be repurchasing as I dont see why I really need. I could use blush with a bit of shimmer and then add one of my favourite highlighters to my cheekbones and it would give the same effect but just better.

For people on a budget this "blush" would be right up your alley to use as a highlighter if your cant see yourself investing in high end products but dont be fooled that its really a blush because its not.

Tips: There are better quality blushes on the market that are also cheap.

Interesting - I just bought this but it arrived around the same time as I bought another one so I haven't played with it. Will be interesting to play and see what happens on my (currently very pale) skin - but a highlighter won't go amiss :p
