Yep, another win! There is nothing negative to say about this compact. The bronzer is perfect for everyday use- as is the blush although needs a bit of blending and you don't need highlighter as its quite gold 'shimmery'

Tips: You only need a little bit, don't load your brush!! Blend blend blend
So the main reason I brought this was because everyone kept comparing it to the Nars product, so I thought I'd try it. I got my one from makeup.co.nz for $11 i think, so I'm so stoked with the price! The packaging is e.l.f's typical matte balck packaging, which is really sturdy, so that's a plus. Normally the cheaper products have crappy packaging. The bronzer - it looked quite dark when i first saw it, but it actually suits my skin tone pretty good. it has some shimmer in it as well, but nothing too crazy. Just enough I'd say. Go very easy at first and then build up the colour as i find the bronzer a little bit difficult to blend. Nothing major, but always always easier if you build the colour. Not much fall out, which is great. I'm a clean freak, so I hate getting powder eveyrwhere lol. The blush - gorgeous pink colour with a gold shimmer. You definitely have to build this blush, but it looks amazing on my skin tone once I get my desired colour. Overall - pretty good product at an affordable price. I can't complain. I'll try the Nars product one day, but for now, I'm happy with my e.l.f compact :)
I love love love the blush in this pallet, it has an amazing glow to it and it's super cheap as well. The bronzing pallet I think would be better with lighter skin as it's quite light .
Very pigmented and works in theory but both blush and bronzer are very powdery and the texture of the products is average. Not bad for the price, but I find these products can end up looking very muddy.
Tips: If you have very fair skin I would give it a miss.
I have this in St Lucia and I love how compact it is. I used to use this combo a lot before I got my real Nars duo. For the price you pay, it's pretty good.
I love the blush more than the bronzer. You have to really blend the bronzer to make it work and look natural on the skin. The blush is a lovely pink shade. I've hit pan on the blush and that shows how much I love it. It's not quite like Nars Laguna but it's still good.
The e.l.f contouring blush and bronzer I purchased was in the colour 'St Lucia'.
So this little duo comes in a relatively sturdy case which I'm really happy about. With cheap products the first thing you tend to notice quality wise is rubbish packaging - this compact is an exception.
The pink is a nice warm colour with a gold undertone. It makes the cheeks look nice and naturally flushed. The colour pay off can be a little light and it takes a few brushes to make it nice and pigmented. It seems to stay on well all day with very little colour fade. The brown contouring shade is great - it has no orangey tones to it like some contouring shades and it looks really natural on the face. Like the pink it also has a gold shimmer to it (which I personally don't like in the powders I use for contouring). Unlike the pink it is much more pigmented and you need to be a little careful when applying. It pays to really tap the brush before putting it on your face.
As for the 'hit and miss' title, I have bought two of these now and the second one was TERRIBLE! The quality was not even comparable to the first one I purchased. It was dry and my brush couldn't pick up any of the product. I'm not sure why there was such a difference in the consistency but it was pretty disappointing.
Wasn't sure what to expect really, have tried a couple of times, like the packaging but not too sure if this is for me...I don't find myself gravitating to it,not sure if I'm using right but I find it a little hard to use
I think this is a great buy if you're new to contouring and don't want to splurge out on something expensive yet. However, I personally find that this contour kit does not do my face any justice as it is way too dark and golden toned for my pale complexion and has too much shimmer. I can never get it to look flattering without caking my face. This could be however because I have a fairly round face and have a difficult time finding the natural shape of my cheek bone.
Tips: Don't load up your brush with the product or it'll be wayyy too dark. Start of with a minimal amount and work into it.
This is one of my favourites to use, it comes in a nice quality black case with the blush on one side and bronzer on the other, great sz to pop into your handbag, the bronzer and blush I have are matte, which is great if you don't want shine on you face, the blush and contour are very buildable and I always have this set in my makeup case when goin out,
Tips: Does not have a brush,u need to take one seperate you that's the only downfall
When I purchased this I instantly loved the bronzer!! I purchased it online meaning the bonzer colour was to warm for a contour shade but used it instead to warm up my face after the contour. It is super pigmented - a light hand is needed, and it blended into my skin nicely leaving a really natural looking bronzed glow. However a few months later, I have completely finished the bronzer, but not touched the blush. The blush I found was super chalky and didn't have very good pigmentation at all. The texture was kind of rough as it was not a silky powder. However for the price of this kit, I would re purchase for the bronzer knowing I will not use the blush!
