I didn't really like this product, I have always had my holy grail blush and bronzer products (both Nars) but decided to have a cheaper option on hand to wear to uni etc, but upon trying this e.l.f one based upon positive reviews I didn't think much of it. The blush was so minimal that it almost seemed like it did nothing, just a few specks of shine to the cheek, and the bronzer shades were quite overpowering. I would always start with a little and work it up but it was very simple to slightly overdo to with one sweep of the brush and I think that is just from it being quite a thick powder.

If you're looking for a cheap, sparkly bronzer and blush, then this is for you! This is amazingly affordable. I personally didn't like the sparkle it gave and I found I used the bronzer a lot more than the blush, the blush then came unstuck from the packaging - but that's what you get for such a cheap product :-)
Tips: I would recommend this to someone on a tight budget, or someone who is new to make-up :-)
Pretty good product when you think of how cheap it is. Its super pigmented so I only use the bronzer when I'm going out and want a harsher look. The blush however is really nice and flattering on my skin tone. Has some sparkles in there which I don't mind but I know not everyone does.
I have this in St Lucia and I've heard all over youtube that its a dupe for a Nars one that's like this (i cant remember the name). Firstly pigmentation of the bronzer is great, although very very dark. I tend to use this more for a night look because it is more dramatic. But the blush is rather disappointing for ELF. Lacks pigmentation, just leaves a lot of glitter on the skin. So its only the bronzer that's really getting used in mine but if your looking for a cheap dark bronzer...here she is.
This duo did not live up to expectations for me.
Packaging was nice and sleep, but as it modelled itself on NARS packaging there are no points for orginality there.
The blush was like all the elf blushes I have used, fantastic, easy to use and highly pigmented.
The bronzer gets a huge thumbs down from me, it is too hard to work with, using a little or a lot it is streaky and muddy. I managed to get it looking ok-ish with time and patience but I dont want to add time to my already lengthy make up application process. I need something that will do it's job and it didnt do it
Would not repurchase
Both the blush and bronzer are sparkly, which may appeal to some. They are very pigmented and last all day. Amazing for the price :)
I bought this contouring and blush kit in the shade St Lucia as It looked to be the lightest shade and I am pale skinned.
To begin with, my attitude for elf products is that they are so affordable that you may aswell buy it to try and if it doesn't work for you then you haven't lost much, but if you end up loving the product then its such a score!
The packaging is super simple and it is quite sturdy feeling, although the mirror fell out the second time I used this.
Contour: I have found that the contour shade is not quite the right colour for me, it is a bit dark and makes my skin look a bit muddy. That being said I can tone it down a bit by re applying some of my mineral foundation over top once I have contoured.
Blush: The blush shade is okay, however I find it to be a bit too powdery for my liking and I don't find that colour payoff to be that great.
Overall I don't really reach for this product very often at all, although I gave it a good crack to see if I could change my mind.
Tips: Try it out, It might be the best product for you and at the price it costs you don't have much to lose!
I found that both the blush and bronzer are both wayyyyy too shimmery on me when applied as I normally would. I've found ways to make it work though. The blush when applied lightly on a matte base looks decent. But the bronzer is only usable if I'm wanting a VERY glowy bronzed look (when used lightly). Definitely can't use the bronzer as a contour.
I picked up the e.l.f contouring blush and bronzing powder on an after work trip to Kmart. I knew I could get it for $3 on iHerb, but I had a sudden desire to compare it to the Nars blush in Orgasm and Nars Laguna bronzer.
In the pan, both the packaging and shades are very similar to the Nars products. The sleek and sturdy black packaging really is identical, aside from the logo and I did find myself questioning the price tag I had paid for Nars. The shades too, were very similar. However, once I dipped my brush in I saw a significant different in pigmentation. To some, this may be an attribute to the product, as pigmentation equals a small amount of product going a long way. When it comes to blush and bronzer I personally prefer a medium amount of pigmentation as this allows a natural, blendable and buildable application. The pigmentation that comes from the e.l.f blush and bronzer could very easily result in too much product on the face, patchiness and a massive blending job. Too use this product on my face I found myself lightly dipping my brush in the product and then wiping it on a tissue before applying to my face. On the skin the shades do loose their similarity to their higher end 'dupes' as they appear a lot darker and the gold shimmery flecks do not transfer to the skin in the blush. Perhaps it is because my skin is pale, or perhaps it is because I have been previously using the Nars blush and bronzer, but the e.l.f alternative looks cheap and patchy on my face.
I have however continued to use the bronzer. The high pigmentation is perfect for when I haven't fake tanned my neck and I need to bronze it to match my foundation. It is quick, easy and provides a beautiful colour.
Even when using it this way the powderyness is still an issue with this product. A lot of powder is always left in the pan and as a duo this means the products spill into each other. For $3-$10 this product is a good option for those who cannot afford to spend more, however I will continue to reach for Nars, ZA and Revlon blush and bronzers over this product.
Tips: This bronzer is great for applying to the neck and body.
I heard this is a nars dupe but I don't think that's entirely true. However I've come to like it a lot- although the blush isn't my fave so I use the bronzer mostly. I was surprised at how dark it was at first but not use it and it looks great- just make sure you blend it properly!! Lasts forever and is really handy , I wish there was a lighter colour though!
