Prior to this I had never used a brush cleaner - so I wasn't sure what to expect. This was only US $3 when I bought it, so I wasn't going to be too miffed if I decided I didn't like it.
This comes in a semi transparent bottle, so it is super easy to see how much product you have left. I really like that. I also like that the dispenser (it is one of those pop up ones), makes it easy to disperse product without it squirting all over you.
You only need a small amount of this to thoroughly clean your brushes (I use a teaspoon of this and that washes roughly 30 brushes). It has a light scent but it isn't overpowering.
Since having this I have used it around 5-6 times and my brushes are still soft and this doesn't leave any nasty residue on them (provided you wash it out properly).
In all honesty, I think this is a great brush cleaner and it does was your brushes really well BUT it doesn't really do anything more than my old routine (dishwashing soap and olive oil), didn't do. If you prefer the idea of buying a brush cleaner (as opposed to making your own), then I recommend this.
This brush shampoo is pretty decent. It does however come in quite a small bottle!
The shampoo is clear and on the thicker side consistency wise. It has no fragrance. I found that it didn't go very far either.
It does a good job at removing makeup from the brushes and leaves them feeling soft afterwards.
I prefer to use baby shampoo with a tiny bit of dettol mixed in to disinfect as it is much cheaper, and does the same job!
