This stuff is very average. It didn't make my eyeshadow stand out if anything it made my eyeshadow crease more and look patchy. I even tried powdering this down with a little setting powder before applying my eyeshadow and it didn't help. Would not recommend

I have tried two of these! different shades each time. One was sheer and the other pearl both were just not at all helpful or good. Would i buy these again? No. I have combination skin and i found the eye shadow ended up oily and creased with these eye shadow primers. It just did not help at all! They are cheap..Yes but don't fall for the price because well it just doesn't work for combination skin.
So, I'm not exactly an expert on eyelid primers. The only two I've ever tried are the Wet n Wild one, which is great, and this one, which is also great!
I apply it, wait a moment for it to dry, apply face powder, then apply eyeshadow. And then my eyeshadow lasts all day! The price is also very affordable.
Tips: Dust eyelids with face powder after applying primer, and before applying eyeshadow.
This primer is fantastic value for money. I purchased mine for (US )$3 on iherb and am nothing but impressed. Primers seem to last forever also and this one is no exception!
The packaging is very simple and contains a doe-foot applicator (which I prefer over a tube from which you have to use your finger) making application easy. A little of this goes a long way too, so your $3 is very well spent.
I find this helps my shadow stay vibrant throughout the day (not fade) and stay crease free and exactly where I placed it.
You just can't beat a primer this affordable that actually performs (I have other high end primers, but, this is honestly just as good as those). I will be repurchasing this when my tube finally runs out and would recommend to all.
Tips: Let the primer set for a minute or so before applying your eye shadow.
I had never tried a eyelid specific primer before but this has sold me on them. Before trying this I always got bad creasing and my eyeshadow wouldn't last all day.
Since using this, I've had heaps of comments about how great my eyeshadow looks when previously it would have faded too much to be obvious by the time I got to work. Now my eyeshadow pops and can be seen and admired, even from behind my glasses.
It also helps my eyeshadow last all day. I had few events last Saturday, and so I put it on in the morning with my eyeshadow and my shadow looked great on my lunch date and even though I had a nap during the day, I didn't even have to touch up before I went out that night. Wonderful!!
I do still get a little bit of creasing, but not nearly as bad as before using primer, I honestly I think it might be just how my eye lids are shaped.
Definitely recommend this product and it helps that it's so affordable.
Tips: Be careful applying as you can quite easily apply a little too much. Try to put a little bit on because it spreads easily using your ring finger.
I also find that this product also works really well as an under brow highlighter.
ELF products tend to be hit or miss, but this is a huge, huge hit. I use this more often than my higher end eyelid primers (Urban Decay, Too Faced), as it is super easy to use, travel friendly and it works.
One thing that makes this stand out for me over other primers I have used, is that this comes with a doe footed applicator. I like that you don't have to squeeze out the product.
The packaging is fairly basic and isn't great to look at but for such a cheap price, that doesn't matter. Because this is quite sleek it easily fits into your travel bag. Also the tube itself is hard plastic so you don't need to worry that this could break during travel.
Even though are other colours of this, my favourite is the original (pictured). It looks like a light peach/tan colour, but once it is blended into your skin it appears colourless. The texture is a little thick but isn't overly tacky.
This really helps prevent my eyeshadow from creasing and travelling throughout the day. It also prolongs the wear of my shadow (using this I get a whole day of wear with my shadow on, even up to 15 hours). It doesn't dry my lids out or make them oily.
If you are looking for an inexpensive eye primer that really does help prevent creasing and prolongs your eyeshadow then I really really recommend this. It is amazing!!
Despite firmly believing that when it comes to my makeup not to prime is a crime, it wasn't until a few months ago I jumped on the eye primer band wagon. At first I really didn't expect too much, the packaging is very simplistic and the formula itself looks just like a white face cream but I was pleasantly surprised by it's performance.
I really like the doe-foot applicator which makes it so easy to apply the right amount of primer. I apply it after my face makeup e.g. foundation, powder, straight to my eyelid and blend it in, leaving it to set while I do my eyebrows. It leaves a white, shimmery cast to the lid which helps lighten the eye area and provides the perfect base for my eyeshadow.
I have oily skin so I'm used to eyeshadows disappearing on my eyelids but this really increases how vibrant and long-lasting my shadow is, stopping the colour from fading away or creasing.
I am so impressed by how well this performs I would happily pay much more than it's bargain price, and will definitely repurchase once this tube eventually runs dry.
Tips: This is quite shimmery alone so I find it works well to brighten up the inner eye and highlight the brow bone.
I have never tried an eyelid primer, but I saw shaaanxo - my ultimate go-to beauty guru - raving on about it in some of her tutorials so I bought one! Such a good price, and it does exacly what it says it will, my eye shadow doesn't want to slip and slide and fade off anymore, and I still look fabulous at 2am after a rough night out ;)
Tips: Wait for it to fully dry, even test a patch on your eye lid. The biggest mistake is putting eye shadow on when it wet, you'll end up with a mess
So I bought this in Champagne because I pretty much always want some form of shimmer in my look. I really don't know what to think. I feel like maybe I should splurge on a slightly higher quality eyeshadow primer, maybe even a paintpot, because although this primer makes my eyeshadow last a bit longer, it really doesn't do anything to make the colours "pop" and that's equally important to me in an eyeshadow primer. But I will say that it definitely stops my shadow from creasing and it might be my imagination here but I feel like my shadow was applied more smoothly with this underneath it. So I don't know, I don't think it's an amazing primer but I also don't think it's awful either. I've also noticed that it kind of clumps around my lashline.
I have combo skin and even setting the eyelid with a powder, I still found that my eye shadow would slip off and become muddy. I tried everything but cit just wasn't tacky enough for me
