I think it does an okay job of applying my highlighter. However I think I have other brushes which do a better job. It seems to pick up the product okay but doesn't seem to transfer it to my ace so well. The best thing about it is that it is very cheap and affordable.

Tips: Perhaps use it to brush away any eyeshadow fallout as opposed to using to to apply highlight or to contour with etc.
I bought this to apply highlighter and it definitely disappointed. I was expecting the bristles to be firmer/stiff (yet still soft) however they were so flimsy I couldn't even get highlighter onto the brush, let alone my face. Definitely recommend avoiding this as although cheap its pretty useless!
Not a fun brush, the bristles were a bit hard and did not feel nice on the skin, I honestly don't think it does anything at all. I just pretty much use this to apply mask on my face instead of sweeping away some make up on my face.
I quite like this brush. It's the first and only fan brush I have ever owned, and for me it does the job.
The quality of the brush isn't the best but I only paid around $1 for it so I'm not even going to complain.
The bristles are red, which I though was a little odd lol, never seen a red makeup brush before, but hey, it doesn't affect the brush in any way so that's fine with me. It does have a little trouble picking up product though, so it does take me a couple of attempts to get my desired amount of highlighter applied but once I'm finished, I'm always happy with the result.
I never have any fallout issues with the bristles, which makes a nice change. A few of my powder brushes always leave bristles all over my face and sometimes I don't even notice them right away =/
Once I get better at highlighting etc, I will invest in better quality brushes, but for now, I'm quite happy to stick with this one.
I purchased this brush to apply powdered highlighter to my cheek bones and while it comes at a great price, I am keeping my eye out for a more effective one. This brush definitely does the job, but I don't find it effective or efficient enough at picking up the powder, it takes a lot of runs over the surface to pick any pigment up. This brush is cheap and great starting fan brush but don't expect great things from it.
I really did want to like this brush, but no. I am back to using my finger again. I don't understand how you are meant to use this brush.
First off the bristles are so flimsy when you put the brush in the highlighting product the bristles fold back onto themselves.
Its great if you want very little/to no product on your cheeks! But sometimes I want to be glittery, dewy goddess and this just doesn't cut the mustard sadly.
Also after every wash I get hairs dropping out and shedding on my cheeks which is such a disaster and it not a dense brush to begin with.
I use it instead to wipe away fall out from under the eye, which it works pretty well for.
On my latest iherb haul I picked up quite a few e.l.f. things, the price is sometimes just too good to look past! They had a special on beauty items so this ended up being USD $2.40 so for a new brush I thought, why not?
This brush looks like you would expect. Also feels a lot more high-end than the price would make you suspect. It has a wooden black long handle with the name printed on it. The ferrel is black also as is the hairs. I have washed this a couple of times and it has kept its shape well. The bristles are incredibly soft.
Now this is a brush of limited uses. Unfortunately because the bristles are so soft and long and flimsy it isn't the best for picking up a lot of pigment. But I do love it for picking up highlighter. I'm not a huge fan of an intense highlight on a day to day basis so this is great for picking up my MAC Soft and Gentle and just applying it lightly across my (non-existant) cheekbones.
So would I recommend... If you are after something that applies things lightly it is great. But I wouldn't pay more than I did as it isn't a multi-use brush.
I use this brush to apply powder highlighter ontop of my cheekbones,I do not use it for anything else but that,it picks up the right amount of product and with the lightest touch enough goes onto your skin,
Tips: The lightest touch is more than enough
I purchased this brush for $1usd from shopmissa along with some others. Upon opening the brush packet, I found it was thin and flimsy..but ok, it only cost a dollar. The bristles are a weird red - brown hybrid colour. The handle is actually the nicest part of the brush! E.L.F state that their brushes are ergonomically designed and I have to agree. I gave the Fan Brush a trial a few days later. It picked up some of my highlighter, ok. I sweeped it over my cheekbones about 3-4 times to get some product to stick to my face. It did the job but very delicately. I prefer a thicker brush I can really get 'stuck- in' with. However I will keep this brush around as sometimes I just want a sweep of subtle daytime highlight and this will do that job or maybe when my little niece asks for one of aunties 'makeovers'.
Tips: Might be fun to use with any little gals in your life!!
I brought this brush to see how it applied highlighter, it's very affordable and does do the job. I'm not sure how long it's going to last as it's not the best quality. It has a little bit of a hard time picking up the product I find but overall it's very affordable so I wasn't expecting much. I think it is better suited to brushing off fall out rather then applying product.
