The packaging looks pretty, it smells nice, there is no sickly sweet aftertaste, it is very easy to apply, and it looks beautiful and shiny on my lips. The downside - it is very sticky, the colour is not very bright, it doesn't last that long, and it dries my lips a little bit. BUT in saying that, for the price that it is, I recommend it. They are cute, and great on your no/low makeup days, cheap, and easy to chuck into your bag. But don't expect a whole lot from this product..

Tips: Apply either a lipstick underneath for a darker colour, or a balm to stop your lips from drying out.
It's such a shame that this lip gloss is such a flop, it could be a smash hit at e.l.f price points! But it's just so sticky, it's difficult to get past that, and the packaging is infuriating - I bought 3 lip glosses and two broke beyond repair - one straight out of the packet, and the other after one application, the whole twist bottom came off and it cant be repaired, leaving the lip gloss stuck in the tube. A simple squeeze tube would be so much better, and I would assume cheaper to manufacture, leaving more money to invest in nicer ingredients for the gloss itself? Just seems really poorly thought out, and a very disappointing product.
I'm sorry but if I am wearing gloss I don't want it to me a magnet for my hair! I have long hair which I wear out, and living in the windy city, I can not tolerate overly-sticky gloss.
This is another nice lip gloss from e.l.f that comes in a pen style tube with a brush applicator.
I find this one a little bit sticky and it had no aftertaste at all, so if you're not into flavoured lip gloss this is the way to go.
This is also easy to use, just twist the tube and product is dispensed, I find this one a bit easy to over dispense product as you can't see through the brush that well and I often twist it too much.
I have it in the shade fairy gloss, it looks quite pink in the tube but it's almost clear upon application, with a very nice shimmer to it. Would also be good over another lipstick to give it a boost.
The long lasting claim on this product is not correct, I might get 1 hour out of it if I'm lucky, but for the price of $1.99 on iHerb it's very much worth it. There's not a heck of a lot of product in the tube, mine's almost empty and I've had it for just over 4 weeks. I will get this again tho as I love the shine factor.
As with most e.l.f product, I feel it's more suited to the younger, beginner make up junkie.
Tips: Go for the darker shades if you're looking for something with a noticeable colour to it.
These are so cheap on iHerb that I had to give them a go. I got Berry Cherry, Flirt and Fairy.
The packaging isn't my favourite method for lip gloss. It has a twist base and the gloss comes up through the brush. I have one of these for the ELF Zit Eraser as well and I find that I twist and twist and nothing comes, then one more twist and suddenly it's everywhere!
Fairy is a really light shimmer, Flirt has a little more pink to it and Berry Cherry is the darker of the 3. All three are very sheer. I expected Fairy to be but I thought the other two might have a little more colour to them, they go on a lot lighter than what shows in the tube.
The texture is ok, but they are a very sticky gloss. That doesn't worry me too much if I'm not going anywhere - but if you step out the door your hair will be stuck to your mouth! It doesn't last very long on, being sticky though you can feel when it's disappearing. They taste and smell OK.
I don't think I would purchase these again because they're not really for me, If you like a light, glossy shine with a hint of colour I'm sure you'll like them though. I will keep using the ones I have though, more over lipstick than on their own.
Tips: Fairy dabbed in the middle of the bottom lip over lipstick gives a nice shine and makes your lips look a little bigger.
I don't really wear lip gloss that often these days, but being a fan of so many ELF products when I heard about the Hypershine Lip Gloss I just had to try it.
I purchased this in the colour 'Flirt', which is a beautiful medium pink. When applied to my lips it gives a sheer 'my lips but better' colour with a subtle shine. I definately wouldn't say the shine is glass-like or that it lives up to the name 'hypershine', it's more of a standard lip gloss shine. It also isn't very long-lasting at all, before you know it the gloss has worn off and you're needing to reapply.
The formula itself is pretty standard, not overly sticky in comparison to over lip glosses and I found it felt quite nice on my lips. It had a faint scent and taste but nothing that distinguishable.
I'm not that much of a fan of the packaging it comes in. While I don't mind the brush, as I found it applied the product well, I'm not a fan of 'twist-up' lip glosses or products where a liquid is pushed through a brush, as I always feel it's harder to get out the right amount of product and you end up wasting a fair bit. Also because the packaging is see-through, it's easy to see how little gloss actually comes in the packaging.
Overall, I'm pretty disapointed with this lip gloss. I've only used it a couple of times as it's performance is so lacking. I won't be repurchasing and even for the low price, I still think there's better alternatives that you'd be better putting the money towards.
Tips: Use this to give a glossy finish to lip stains.
I own these in every colour (I imported them from America ) they look great by themselves for a tinge of colour or over lipstick for a bit of gloss.
I'm glad I imported these and only paid $1USD for these as you loose half the product by it compacting when you turn the end to get the product out.
I ordered this on iherb for very cheap less than $5, when I recevied it the packaging for this and most elf products looks very cheap. These are cute to have as they dont cost much, but it isnt really worth it if you want it to stay on, as it wont last very long. The description is quite misleading as the product dosen't really match anything it says.
I thought this product was ok for its price, it doesn't last very long on your lips and is quite sticky, I also don't like packaging such as this one as its quite deceiving about how much you are really getting, so it doesn't last long at all.
Tips: No tips for this one
I had heard that these were a great dupe for Stila's Lip Glazes. I haven't tried those so I can't comment on how the actual product compares, but the packaging is definitely similar. I have these in the colours 'Fairy', 'Vixen' and 'Bubblegum'.
The applicator is a little brush which I am not a massive fan of - I feel it is slightly unhygienic even though I have no evidence to support this. You twist the bottom of the pen up and the product comes up through the brush. I don't like this at all because it is difficult to see how much product you have and it is easy to get too much and make a mess and/or waste product.
These have a very slight pigmentation - more like a hint of colour. They do feel quite sticky and gooey on your lips so I wouldn't recommend them if you dislike sticky glosses.
They give your lips a nice shine and hint of colour, so if you are looking for something subtle and shiny then this might be something you're interested in. I haven't tried these over lipstick but if you wanted a shiny lipstick then these would work well for that.
These don't last that long on my lips (maybe half an hour or so), and do tend to dry my lips out a bit so that is something to be aware of.
Overall I wasn't impressed with these and - despite the cheap price, they aren't something I would repurchase although I will use them as I hate wasting product.
