e.l.f Hypershine Lip Gloss Review

With this product I didn't expect it to be the lip gloss of the century but thought I would give it a go. I like that it's a nice neutral gloss. I had this at work for ages if I ever felt like i needed something a little extra. It added a nice light sheen to my lips. I didn't find it moisturizing so you definitely need something on before this otherwise I found it didn't apply that smoothly.

I really love the applicator and the container that it comes in I thought was very reasonable for the few dollars I paid for it.

I'm unsure whether I will repurchase. It wasn't a horrible product but I just don't love it. I feel rather impartial towards it. It may be worth a shot if you're a gloss girl, I keep trying to be but the texture just aint for me.

As far as colour goed this has superb brightness and a range of groovy colouts it does hava heavy thick feeling to it as ur applying to ur lips but tends to slowly smooth out the longer u wear it.it does last a cuple houts but i wudnt recomend as an allday wear as it is very glossy and thick at times .the colour tho is great and bold And i do recomend bt to me it seems more for yung just getting into teen stage women as its not really the type of lipcolor ud wana wear out and keep on ur lips unless u like that hwavy feeling but thats fo you to totally decide i still recomend to buy for ur makeup kit tho

These are so cheap on iHerb that I had to give them a go. I got Berry Cherry, Flirt and Fairy.

The packaging isn't my favourite method for lip gloss. It has a twist base and the gloss comes up through the brush. I have one of these for the ELF Zit Eraser as well and I find that I twist and twist and nothing comes, then one more twist and suddenly it's everywhere!

Fairy is a really light shimmer, Flirt has a little more pink to it and Berry Cherry is the darker of the 3. All three are very sheer. I expected Fairy to be but I thought the other two might have a little more colour to them, they go on a lot lighter than what shows in the tube.

The texture is ok, but they are a very sticky gloss. That doesn't worry me too much if I'm not going anywhere - but if you step out the door your hair will be stuck to your mouth! It doesn't last very long on, being sticky though you can feel when it's disappearing. They taste and smell OK.

I don't think I would purchase these again because they're not really for me, If you like a light, glossy shine with a hint of colour I'm sure you'll like them though. I will keep using the ones I have though, more over lipstick than on their own.

Hypershine lip gloss is one of those sticky lippys that if you walk into the slightest breeze, that one little hair will stick to it and ruin your gorgeous pout you were just rocking in the new selfie you took for facebook and possibly instagram!

It gives you the nice hypershine it promises but personally I'd prefer to look elsewhere for some hypershine lips that isn't sticky.

I would recommend it to people who don't mind those feels and love having a shine or sheen to their smile but I wouldn't wear it again.

I’m kind of sitting on the fence when it comes to this product. I mean I’m pretty sure I’m one of E.L.F’s biggest fans but this product in particular is a bit of a let down. The lipgloss is just too gloopy and sticky, because of this I won’t be repurchasing this product. Another disappointing aspect is the amount of product in the tube, even if it is only $1, it is quite minimal even for a lipgloss. In saying that, it does have a few things going for it like the way it looks on my lips. It gives a nice natural looking colour to my lips while adding a slight shine, but not so much that it’s over powering. I also don’t mind the smell or taste and the packaging is really quite convenient.

This is honestly nothing special! It has all these fancy terms of light reflect mirror technology but really it is just a normal lip gloss. Might as well go buy something for $2 form the super market. It doesn't last any better than a normal lip gloss. I guess the colour is nice and brush is an easy applicator but like I said don't be expecting anything life changing here.

This is a pretty average lip gloss. I think it is fine for the price but there a too many awesome lip glosses for me to buy this one again. I don't mind a sticky lip gloss but I don't enjoy the little brush applicator. Elf makes other much better lip glosses than this.

I had heard that these were a great dupe for Stila's Lip Glazes. I haven't tried those so I can't comment on how the actual product compares, but the packaging is definitely similar. I have these in the colours 'Fairy', 'Vixen' and 'Bubblegum'.

The applicator is a little brush which I am not a massive fan of - I feel it is slightly unhygienic even though I have no evidence to support this. You twist the bottom of the pen up and the product comes up through the brush. I don't like this at all because it is difficult to see how much product you have and it is easy to get too much and make a mess and/or waste product.

These have a very slight pigmentation - more like a hint of colour. They do feel quite sticky and gooey on your lips so I wouldn't recommend them if you dislike sticky glosses.

They give your lips a nice shine and hint of colour, so if you are looking for something subtle and shiny then this might be something you're interested in. I haven't tried these over lipstick but if you wanted a shiny lipstick then these would work well for that.

These don't last that long on my lips (maybe half an hour or so), and do tend to dry my lips out a bit so that is something to be aware of.

Overall I wasn't impressed with these and - despite the cheap price, they aren't something I would repurchase although I will use them as I hate wasting product.

I don't really wear lip gloss that often these days, but being a fan of so many ELF products when I heard about the Hypershine Lip Gloss I just had to try it.

I purchased this in the colour 'Flirt', which is a beautiful medium pink. When applied to my lips it gives a sheer 'my lips but better' colour with a subtle shine. I definately wouldn't say the shine is glass-like or that it lives up to the name 'hypershine', it's more of a standard lip gloss shine. It also isn't very long-lasting at all, before you know it the gloss has worn off and you're needing to reapply.

The formula itself is pretty standard, not overly sticky in comparison to over lip glosses and I found it felt quite nice on my lips. It had a faint scent and taste but nothing that distinguishable.

I'm not that much of a fan of the packaging it comes in. While I don't mind the brush, as I found it applied the product well, I'm not a fan of 'twist-up' lip glosses or products where a liquid is pushed through a brush, as I always feel it's harder to get out the right amount of product and you end up wasting a fair bit. Also because the packaging is see-through, it's easy to see how little gloss actually comes in the packaging.

Overall, I'm pretty disapointed with this lip gloss. I've only used it a couple of times as it's performance is so lacking. I won't be repurchasing and even for the low price, I still think there's better alternatives that you'd be better putting the money towards.

I have this gloss in the shade fairy, and love to pop it on quickly before rushing out the door, or over my lighter shades of lippy for that extra shine. It does make my lips feel soft and moisturised, but it doesn't last for hours as stated. This product was one of the first elf products I purchased, and doesn't get reached for as often as some of my other glosses. I love the nice subtle colour this gloss gives my lips for those natural days, and it really makes my lips pop when i apply it over lippy. You don't get much in the tube, and for $3 you are getting what you pay for. I have bought more of these and have gifted them to some of my younger cousins. They are perfect for beginners, or those who like subtle lip colours/gloss.
