I use this for pressed powder, and it is amazing, especially for the price! It picks up the perfect amount of product so the product doesn't look too powdery. It is so soft and easy to clean with just warm soapy water! I have started using this everyday and have no complaints! I have experienced no shedding with this brush!

For the price, this is a fabulous powder brush!
It is full, soft and fluffy and makes brushing on powder a breeze. I used this largely for powder foundation (as I am not a fan of makeup sponges). It allows for a slow build up of coverage, so you aren't stuck with heavy coverage with the first brush. It is also great a blending blush/bronzer.
It size makes it amazing for travelling or in the handbag. I would highly recommend this brush if you are looking for a low cost, high quality alternative!
Tips: Great for travelling as it is small and packs away nicely.
e.l.f is one of those brands that either does great products or complete flops. This one is one of the greats.
The e.l.f Kabuki Face brush is a lovely soft kabuki brush that is gentle on the face and great for buffing out powder. I use it for pressed or loose powder on my face. It distributes the powder evenly and smoothly and buffs it out just as well.
The bristles on the brush are synthetic, which is fairly standard and generally what I prefer to use. They are easy to wash; I use something like baby shampoo and feel as good as new afterwards.
What I also like about the kabuki style is that without the long handle it is an easy brush to fit in my handbag or travel bag.
I've not tried blending out slef-tan with it, but after reading this I may have to try it.
A great brush, affordable with the results you'd expect.
I have had this kabuki brush since 2014 and I still use it regularly for buffing setting powder into my face.
It is densely packed and feels lush and soothing against my face. In the first year, it didn't shed at all. However, recently, some of the brush hairs have begun fall out during washing. That said, it's probably because of its age and nothing concerning since it is so dense in the first place.
I love this brush and it's definitely a high quality staple in your kit. 10/10 would recommend.
Tips: 1. It's only cheap if you get it from iHerb, not Kmart.
I bought this Kabuki brush from Kmart, and have since bought a second one for a totally different use.
It's nice a soft to use with powder on my face, when I'm setting my foundation, which is a must for me as I have oily skin and cannot skip using powder unless I want to be shiny all day! It blends out blush and bronzer well too.
The second brush that I bought, I use for manicures. Yes, you read right, for manicures. The softness of this brush makes it super easy to brush away excess nail dust after filing down nail enhancements, or brushing off excess pigment powder before applying top coat. The wide brush means the excess dust or powder is swept away quickly and cleanly, and the softness means that skin on the fingers is not scratched at all. It's a win-win.
Tips: Wash it with micellar water and then rinse it with a little conditioner to keep it feeling super soft.
I’ve been introduced to e.l.f from BR reviews, for being an affordable brand that has great products, and this is another winner.
This brush is lovely and soft- it feels great on my sensitive skin. For the price it’s just lovely quality. The brush is one of my go to makeup brushes.
I apply my foundation and leave it to dry. I then use this kabuki brush to apply my face powder. Application is easy and the brush makes it easy to apply and looks natural.
A really great brush that I would definitely recommend for those on a budget and wanting a great and efficient brush.
The only con of this brush is that it doesn't have a proper handle, but that's a small price to pay for the value for money you get from this brush. Despite the handle size, it is surprisingly easy to use!
This is the cheapest face brush I own, and still my go-to for powder application. Its bristles are packed thickly and are soft on my face. It picks up product well, and transfers it well.
I have had my elf Kabuki for ~3 years now and use it at least 3 times a week, and it's still in perfect condition. Its a staple to my makeup routine, and, if one day it does fail on me, I'd replace it without giving other brands a second thought!
Tips: Wash regularly to keep in tip-top condition
One of the best kabukis, has great bristles that stay in the brush and a beautiful feel with awesome coverage where you want it to go.
My life improved after learning what a kabuki brush is especially the elf one. Good size for make up bag. Provides this beautiful soft blending and product build up ie colour and coverage.
Tips: Teach others and sound professional and cool saying it all foreign Kabuki brush obviously. Lightly tap after picking up powder to drop excess product. Wash regularly.
This was probably one of my first make up brushes, I bought it about 2 years ago when my interest in make up started to take off. I never really expected too much of this brush, but for the price its great! The bristles are super soft and packed really dense which makes applying powder a breeze. I washed this brush countless times and have never had a problem with shedding. The barrel is metal too which is great I had expect it to be plastic but the quality does surpass the price. Overall I love e.l.f brushes in general and I believe this one comes in 2 different sizes (I use the smaller one). I just use mine for setting my foundation and find that it works great doesn't leave my powder looking cakey.
