This is my first ever kabuki brush and I love it! I've always wanted one and finally got this. Clearly I was overexcited. The price is very agreeable with my purse and the quality agrees with my face :) It's super soft and I've used it for both powder and liquid foundation. The individual hairs seem strong and not many bristles have fallen out yet. I love the simplicity of its design and also how convenient it is to use. Before I use it, I like to soak it in warm water for about 5 minutes to get of residue and also to soften it up even more.

I love E.L.F for many reasons, this kabuki is one of them, making an often a high-end and expensive item accessible for those of us with less cash to spare. I highly recommend you try this brush, it's nice and soft and does everything you want a kabuki to do at such a great price. Thanks E.l.F!
Tips: You can now purchase a number of E.L.F products including this brush from Kmart!
Before seeing the BR ad on the ZA Kabuki brush, I had no clue what a kabuki was. Maybe something from japan that was similar to Kawaii ahaha.
While on holiday here in Australia Gold Coast, I headed into Kmart on the day after boxing day after the crowd had died down so I could get a relaxing look at everything while shopping. Along with other items and a few dresses, the Elf Kabuki brush ended up in my basket. At $12 AUD, I thought it was a bargain! ahha until seeing the Retail price in NZD. Woops! Ohwell, I was so excited to see what the hype was with kabuki brushes, I ended up making a shot for the bathroom to check out my new make up pieces. I opened this before anything, just to feel how soft it was, I dabbed it onto my clean face with nothing on it, and I pretty much fell inlove!
Elf has not disappointed me yet and I'm so happy that my skin loves Elf too!
I use this after everytime I put my make up on, with a bit of powder foundation to set my make up. Its so little and compact but it does the job so well and feels good while doing it. It gets into all my very fine lines, especially near my under eyes, and gives a nice matte look to my face.
Really really happy with this purchase!! I don't how I've been coping without one!
9/10 would recommend to friends and family. (only a nine, because I've never tried any other kabuki brush, and I feel like that's being a little one sided haha, but its definitely a must have for all make up beginners!)
I bought this on special for $5 at bling when those shops still existed. I love how soft it is and how easy application is with this kabuki. Overall end result is nice and flawless in my opinion. Definitely recommend for those on a budget.
Tips: Tips: Buy elf products on iherb.com use this code MJB589 or use the following link: http://www.iherb.com?rcode=MJB589 to get a $5 or more discount. :)
This was one of the first Kabuki brushes that I purchased and I still use it all the time. The price is super affordable and the brush itself is soft and hasn't shed or lost its shape. I use this brush with some powder to set my foundation. It does a fantastic job and provides great coverage.
Tips: You can purchase e.l.f products from their US website www.eyeslipsface.com and ship them to New Zealand if you have a You Shop address set up via the Post Shop.
Had been looking for a powder brush to go with my new powder and came across the e.l.f brushes in Kmart. I had heard good and bad things about e.l.f as they seem to be hit or miss. but the was definalty a hit. The brush is so soft against my face. I was expecting it to be harsh but it was the opposite. It evenly applies my powder. The price was very reasonable but i know if i was going to repurchase i would do it through iHerb.com as they sell elf and real techniques products. The only down side is that it shed a little but it hasn't affected the use of the brush. So overall its a great brush.
Tips: Make sure you wash the brush first and if any hairs are sticking up over the "hair line" gently give them a pull, other wise these loose brush hairs will shed and end up on your face.
This brush is a dream - it's so soft and it hasn't shed any hairs at all and I've washed it so many times.
The E.L.F studio line seriously does so many great brushes but this has to be my favourite. I use it strictly for my translucent powder though so I'm not too experienced on it's use for anything else.
When the time comes I am definitely going to repurchase this because I can't see me living without it!
I am on a personal mission to use highlighters, blushes and contouring without fear and to use it to enhance my face not make it stand out in a bad way. I could never find the right brush/s for the job then the e.l.f Kabuki brush came in to my life. It is so soft and fluffy and looks super cute on my makeup draw. I love how easily it fits in my oversized mitts without feeling bulky or awkward.
At first I didn't know what to use it for but once I took on the challenge with the above mission I thought it would make a perfect blending brush and so my love affair with this Kabuki brush began. I contour when I go out on the town mainly and always found that the brown streak below my cheek always looked very unnatural. The very next time I contoured I used the Kabuki to blend, blend, blend until the brown streak became part of my face. WHOA!! My face appeared slim and natural all because of this perfect brush and it's amazing blending abilities.
I use it in circular motions whilst squeezing the bristles together to form a more stable brush effect. I also use it for highlighter and blush. I simply brush the tips along the product of choice and lightly fluff it on to my face then blend blend blend. It's a very universal brush and requires minimal effort to achieve the desired look.....it's magic almost!
I do find that the product builds up in the fibers quite quickly so have to wash it at least three times a week which to me is worth the effort to ensure the life of my brush. It means it stays clean and is always ready for more. I love that the fibers don't end up on my face like some brushes their bristles fall out and end up all over my face and clothes. We have a winner!
Tips: Clean it at least twice a week to avoid too much product build up
I use this brush everyday for blending in powder and applying. Although your not really supposed to use powder brushes for liquid i love using this brush to blend in liquid foundation. Holds powder well so frequent washing would be recommended.
This is my second kabuki brush and for the price it is probably the best one I have owned. It distributes the product evenly and is great for powdering.
