I purchased two of these last week from K'Mart because they were selling at $5 a piece. I was a little disappointed because it hardly looks like any colour transferred to my lips, in fact they may as well have been clear lip glosses. On the bright side though you get a little sponge which you fill with the product (has a winding up mechanism) and it feels quite nice going on the lips. I felt a little tingle which I am assuming are the moisturisers going to work. Your lips feel lovely and moisturised and it seems to last a few hours. Has a slight menthol smell which I don't mind at all and had no reaction. Of the selection available I purchased Pink Slipper and Pink Lemonade because they were the ones that had the most red pigments. If you want a lippy that offers a little more hydration power than an ordinary lipgloss then give this one a go.

Tips: Upon opening the package and using for the first time you feel like you your winding and winding but nothing is happening but don't give up, it just takes a few good turns before it is ready to use.
Despite this product being called a lipstick; it feels and looks more like a gloss, but apart from this difference between what they made it to be and what I feel it is. It's handy to have; I have two different shades which are beautiful! The colours are more foucsed on nude shades and I love using mine as a gloss shine over top of my lipsticks. The only problem I found with it was when I first used it, the turning device at the bottom can be tough at first use. I have worn it alone, but I found the colour doesn't last as long as I thought it would, 2 hours and there is no colour left (this is without a base lipstick).
I do like the product but all in all its average at best.
Tips: Liquid not a soild, when turning the mechanisim on turn it twice when first using the product but every time after that only ONCE otherwise the liquid will just come pouring out and you will be left with a sticky mess!!
I have this in nude pink. It comes in a funky pen style applicator with a sponge tip that is very easy to use. When you need more product all you have to do is twist the applicator slightly and more is dispensed, it's easy to see how much is coming out so you don't have to worry about ending up with too much product.
The coverage is very very sheer, so the claim of it being highly pigmented and long lasting is just not correct. Having said that, it does leave your lips feeling hydrated, with a lovely pale pink sheen too them. It tastes slightly coconuty too.
They don't last all that long as there's not a huge amount of product in them, but they're only $1.99 on iHerb, so entirely affordable. I'll be getting more with my next order.
Note it's definitely not a lip stick, it's a lip gloss not matter how they market it.
Tips: Don't twist the tube too quickly or you will end up wasting the gloss that comes out.
Even though this is called a lipstick, I would say its defiantly more a lipgloss. I dont wear gloss so in my opinion it was to sticky for me. I also didn't think there was much colour to it, and the twister annoyed me a bit as wouldn't come out at all, then that last twist burst it out every were lol This would be suited more for a lip gloss wearer not a lipstick lover like myself. But for $1.99 on iherb or around $5 at kmart, its worth a try.
Tips: Dont over twist!!!
I really like the packaging of this lip gloss pen it's clean & stylish, you can see how much is in it and the twist end allows you to distribute however much you need for each application. This lipgloss is scentless and has quite a pigmented tint of color that stains the lips slightly. The consistency is fair but average, just a little bit sticky but moisturizes and stays on well. Overall i like it and for $2.12 from iherb can't complain.
I would not by any stretch of the imagination deem this a lipstick, it's a gloss! And a lovely gloss it is. Also it has a slight mint flavour to it. If you like a highly pigmented look, this is not for you. The colour is very subtle, and again...more like a gloss lol. It's for this reason I passed mine on to my daughter to play around with. It is very well priced though so if you like to rock a good gloss on occasion, I'd recommend having this in your handbag, and I didn't find overly sticky as with most gloss formulations
I have to admit that I'm usually a fan of elf products but this one didn't quite hit the mark for me.
The first thing you notice is that unlike traditional lipsticks, this product is a liquid that is forced up through a sponge applicator at the top of the lipstick by turning the base of the lipstick container. This allows you to dispense just the right amount of liquid lipstick for your needs.
The sponge applicator actually felt quite nice on my lips but I didn't feel that it gave me much precision in the application of the lipstick. Then again, the application didn't need to be terribly accurate as this product is more like a tinted lipgloss than a lipstick, only giving a light show of colour to your lips - more like a light tint than a full cover.
I noticed that although the lipstick goes on quite easily, it became very sticky and tacky once on my lips. I felt as if my lips were always sticking together and my hair seemed to be uncontrollably drawn to my face, sticking itself to my lips every time I moved.
It also tastes quite strongly of mint, which is a bit unusual, but not exactly unpleasant, though it did leave my lips feeling quite cold.
If you're looking for a cheap, light, glossy lipcover and don't mind a bit of stickiness, then I'd say this would be worth a try, but if you're looking for a full coverage lipstick, I'd probably look elsewhere.
Tips: Only turn the mechanism until the product starts to appear in the applicator. Its easy to turn too far and have too much product come out.
I really have no idea why this product is marketed as a 'rich pigmented, long lasting lipstick'. It is a very sheer colour and goes on as a lip gloss plus is very short lasting on my lips.
First up, the packaging. I really like how this tube is presented. It's clear so you can see exactly how much product you have left and also you can easily see the colour. You wind it up at the bottom and the product comes up through a sponge top. It's really simple to use and you can get the right amount of product easily. The top of mine does look quite messy now though. The sponge is sticky and some gloss has dripped down it and onto the lid. The lid is sturdy though, so it won't come off in your bag and make a mess if you want to take it out with you.
The actual product is very sheer (I have the colour Nude Pink). The colour that you see in the tube looks like it should come off as very pigmented but it only leaves a slight amount of colour to my lips. It does have a bit of a sticky feeling, but not super sticky like some lip glosses that I can remember from my young teen years! It smells nice, like a minty gum but not super strong. It doesn't leave a super shiny gloss, more of a sheen.
It has no lasting power for me, maybe an hour tops but thats only if I don't eat or drink anything and try not to move my lips too often.
I got this off iherb, it was around $2. I think for that price it is an ok product but nothing amazing and you can get way nicer glosses for just a little bit extra. Don't buy this if you are looking for a lipstick, it is nothing like one. I probably wouldn't buy one again, maybe if I saw one for like 50 cents but otherwise no.
As a liquid lipstick, this fails miserably. It's in no way opaque, and it's lasting power is extremely average. I'm lucky if I get a couple of hours wear with this.
However, as a quick and handy lip gloss, this works okay. I have the shade 'Ruby Slipper', which in the tube is a deep rosey pink with a fine gold shimmer. When applied it's a sheer pink (along the lines of a MLBB shade), and the shimmer is very subtle. It's neutral and pretty, and looks nice on.
The applicator is fine - a clear twist up tube with a felt-type applicator which the product is squeezed through. It works, and I do like that you can see how much product is left as it's used up.
It doesn't have a noticeable taste, but does a have a sweet 'lolly' type scent, which fades fairly quickly.
Like I say, I like this as a gloss, and I do wear it if I know I can be bothered reapplying quite frequently. But this is in no way a liquid lipstick, and I don't personally think it really lives up to any of the claims it makes.
Currently in LOVE with this range of liquid lipsticks! I received the colour Ruby Slipper from a friend who accidentally purchased an extra from iHerb, and am now crazy about this range.
The company defines them as a lipstick, but I personally would call these more of a gloss. I usually am not a glossy lips kind of girl, preferring lipsticks and balms to glosses. But for some reason this particular product is fantastic; the consistency isn't tacky or too sticky, it glides on evenly and has a gorgeous colour.
The packaging is fantastic and really innovative - instead of your typical lip gloss tube, these come in a slim, chic pen which you twist in order to release product through the application sponge. This makes it really easy to control the amount of product that comes out.
For the super cheap price, what's not to love? Once again e.l.f. has proven that good quality beauty products don't have to cost too much.
Tips: Apply on it's own, or smooth this gloss over a red lipstick for a bolder look.
