e.l.f Makeup Mist and Set Review

I struggle on a daily basis to keep my makeup from melting. This did not help at all. The longevity of my foundation was not extended, and was still oily and patchy by early afternoon. Also, the spray tended to come out in sharp burst, that left parts of your face dripping and subsequently patchy.

I picked this up because I needed a setting spray for an event and couldn't justify spending the bigger money on urban decay etc. For $10 though, I obviously didn't expect it to last all day or night. But it did help for a few hours at least. Its a bit more of a spray than a mist, but pleasant enough. Packaging wise, it is in the exact same bottle as my daily brush spray, and it has come pretty close on more than one occasion!!

I would recommend this to anyone on a budget, it doesn't react at all with my super sensitive skin and the scent is gentle, and leaves me slightly dewy.

I tried this product because of the price but will not be repurchasing. I have oily skin and my makeup doesn't last very long on its own. The elf makeup mist and set made only a little difference to the staying power of my makeup but it's the smell which I find the most off-putting. I suppose you get what you pay for!

When I first heard about this product I was really excited to try it. I read the back of the label and thought - perfect! But then I got called away so put it back. When I came back to the shelf later that day I picked up the product, paid for it and came home only to see that I had accidentally bought the brush cleaning solution instead. The packaging is exactly the same for both. That frustrated me but as the product was so well priced I decided I would still purchase the setting spray. When I used it, it felt fresh and nice on my face but it didn't really keep my make up in place. It was refreshing but that is about it. Unfortunate.

A few spritzes of this after makeup is applied helps my foundation not melt too bad and it also stops it wearing away so fast! Have only tried in winter so far and this is the first setting spray i have tried so I am impressed for a begginer!

I have 2 favourite setting sprays,this is one of them,I love the way it hydrates your skin with the green tea,cucumber and vitamins,the bottle has a pump and is plastic and small enough to take out if needed,you can spray your face before having a meeting to refresh you face,and to re set when you have had to touch up,makeup stays on hours longer when the spray has been used,I would recomend to others

When I was given this It was my first experience with a setting spray. I always saw on Youtube girls using a setting spray. They were always more "High End" products though. I was looking forward to trying it out for the first time. I knew I needed a setting spray as in the warmer months the makeup just melted off my face.

This setting spray is good for the price. Once applied my makeup survives the whole day which is the main aim of the game.

I felt it was weird by spraying my face after makeup had been applied. I always let it dry properly though. I must say the green tea and cucumber acts as a way to cool the skin down naturally in this spray and It didn't play up with my sensitive skin. Worth a try!

This is a reasonable product. Good price, works pretty well and doesn't smell overly strong. Packaging is a bit dull. I did find this helps my make up last for a few extra hours.

This is my first setting mist so I thought I'd try something in a low price range. I usually don't get that oily on my face so my makeup stays pretty well anyway but just to make sure everything is flawless I thought why not, it's pretty cheap. I'm not sure if this actually did anything because I find that if I accidentally rub my face or something I still feel like I'm smudging my makeup. I did find that when I get slightly sweaty this helped make it stay a bit better. Aside from the setting my face I've mainly been using it with baked products. I find that when I spray my brush slightly before trying to pick up powder I get a really nice result. The colors pop out much more and stays on better. This has been a big improvement for my eye shadow as now it's much more pigmented looking. The smell is also much nicer than I expected, fresh and not unpleasant at all. I'd recommend this to anyone who's just starting out on using setting sprays and want to try something that's cheap but still effective.
