I have two, in Tea Rose and in Rich Red. This is a fabulous lipstick, very pigmented and lasts sooo long! I applied two coats of this lipstick in Tea Rose in the morning and it lasted me well into the night. I love the packaging, it makes it very easy to use and the only down side to it is that it isn't hydrating at all. Rather the opposite. Despite this I would still buy it again as it is such a lovely product.

Tips: As it is a matte lipstick and can be very drying, wear a hydrating lip balm or lip gloss with it to prevent cracking or drying out your lips too much.
This lip colour was my first experience delving into the elf world and it's making me want more! I had heard so many great things about elf, so I was really excited to try this.
I have the colour 'Rich Red' a lovely, deep and stand-out beautiful red. I think it's the perfect red colour, when you want to have lips that really give you the wow factor.
The packaging is black and simple, very understated but still great for such an affordable product. It looks rather like a thick pencil and I was intrigued to apply this.
The formula is nice and glides over your lips. You have to be careful and have a steady hand with application. The formula is very pigmented, which is great. I always apply lip balm over this as well, as being matte it can dry out your lips.
The lip colour looks fantastic for a couple of hours. I do tend to get very dry lips, and after a little while the formula can slightly crack on my lips and my lips really lack hydration.
So, overall this is a beautiful pigmented lip colour, but not very moisturising to your lips.
Trying this lip colour has ignited a passion for elf products, and I can't wait to get some more from iherb and try them out.
Tips: Definitely wear a lip butter or balm over top this to try to prevent dryness to your lips.
I bought the colour Tea Rose from Kmart and a lady working there was nice enough to let me swatch the colour before I bought it and I loved it. Its definitely a mauve shade with a bit of pink in it so I thought this would be my perfect lip colour. The application was really good, it glided on smoothly and it actually tasted really yummy, I had to stop myself from licking my lips! It does give quite a sheer cover with one layer but it is definitely buildable to a more intense colour. However when I had it on my lips it was more of a lilac than a pink and a bit too cool toned for me so I now only wear it with a pink lip liner underneath and that colour combination is definitely more me. I really want to try the shade Natural and Coral next because the formula of these lip sticks are amazing, especially for the price.
I purchased the shade Natural - a great pinky nude. A little too pink for me on it's own but over a browny nude liner (I love this over the ELF spice pencil) this looks fresh and flattering on my pale complexion. I am not a fan of the packaging, despite getting quite a good amount of pencil, the 'lead' bullet itself rolls around in the case which it seems a bit loose to house it properly. This aside it is a very good formula, a drier waxier type of matte that really stays put and doesn't cling to teeth or eating/drinking utensils. I am not a huge fan of how many chemical preservatives it contains but considering I hardly end up eating any of this since it wears so well on me I am not too concerned. Those who like glossier lipsticks may not be a fan of this but if you are like me and love you a great super matte finish then this is for you.
I recently did a mini E.L.F haul from iHerb. I ordered this is in the colour Natural.
I was pleasantly surprised of the size as I was assuming it was a thin Pencil.
Quite a decent sized wind up tube/pencil type packaging. Sleek design , easy to control and hold.
Well pigmented, quite a natural pink/nude.
It didn't really go full matte on me and it still transferred.
It lasted a good 3-4 hours. Came off with makeup remover and smells good.
I will buy more colours in this range. And most of all amazing prices!!!
Have the e.l.f matte lip colours in Tea Rose and Rich Red. I really like the colour payoff and how these lipsticks look at first but after a few hours my lips are so dry! The dryness is the only downside to this product. The price and pigmentation are great.
Tips: Use a lip scrub and lip balm before applying these lipsticks to minimise the dryness.
I only have the shade Natural, which is a basic beige nude colour, it matte, not very creamy but easy to apply and doesnt last hours i need to touch up at lest twice a day, i think they have added more colors to their line now so i might check back when they are having a sale, but its a really nice lip liner, it opaque, and has a sort of cryon smell that I dislike. Its comes in a retractable lip pencil form.
Tips: The bottom bit comes off, and it functions as a sharpener!! so you will always have a pointed tip :)
I picked up two of these in Praline and Tea Rose from my local Kmart for around $9 each. The lipsticks are nice an creamy, they do have a matte finish but aren't super matte. The colour pay off is pretty good, the colours are quiet pigmented and the formula is not drying at all. Perfect basic lipstick for work or running errands, they aren't transfer proof and do come off quiet easily, so would definitely recommend re-applying after eating or drinking. There is also a sharpener in the bottom of the tube which is super handy.
I like the e.l.f brand. I think they make quality products at affordable prices. I own 3 of their matte lip colours in the shades Wine, Rich Red and Berry Sorbet. Each lip colour comes in a long, thin, black pen-like case. The case is matte black plastic, with the e.l.f branding in white on the side, and the colour of the lipstick indicated by the shade of plastic on the end. They are 1.4g. Each case has a removable lid.
The lipsticks themselves are long and thin. They wind-up just like regular bullet lipsticks. The long narrow shape makes the lipstick quite easy to apply, as it is easier to achieve a precise, sharp line with the narrow tip. The colour lasts quite a long time. I only have to touch up a little after eating and drinking. The pigment is good too. Lips can be covered well with only a couple of swipes. Like all matte lipsticks, these are a bit drying on the lips. There is also a little bit of transfer. On one of them the bullet has come loose inside, so it wobbles a bit when applied, making application a little trickier.
On the whole these are well-priced, good quality lipsticks. If you are looking for an affordable matte lipstick with decent pigment and staying power, then this is an excellent option.
I have two of these and i own the red one and the natural one. The first shade i owned is red. That one glides on the lips very smoothly, its not patchy, its a neutral red but still leans a little towards the warmer side. The lasting power is okay and its not very long lasting, i'd say upto 4 hours long. You do need a lip liner for this to avoid it from feathering. It is also very pigmented and the colour payoff is great. The finish is like cream but you can mattify it with powder.
The natural colour however feels different. Because i loved the red so much, i bought another one. But this shade is patchy and and sits on top of the lips in a very unflattering way. The finish is satin but it feels a little drying .Im not sure if i got a dud, but not impressed with the formula of this shade.
The packaging is sleek and simple which I'm not complaining on. Theres a sharpener on the end of the pencil to sharpen your lipstick on which is a smart idea.
Over all, this is an okay product. You get what you pay for. Its still worth trying out.. Well the red that is.
Tips: Make sure you scrub beforehand and use a lipliner then blot your lips after application
