e.l.f Mineral Infused Primer

First ever primer that I have ever used so really wasn't sure what to expect and I can't compare to other primers. Like how its a pump but hate that I can't see through the bottle to see how much I've used, is left, you can unscrew to get the last bit out which is great but I want to see through the bottle not have to keep unscrewing it to check how much is left. Now first application, one pump and isn't it silky, wasn't sure if I'd covered my whole face as it left my finger tips really silky feeling, left a couple minutes then applied foundation, seemed to glide on (I use techniques sponge) actually felt like my foundation was sitting better and noticed that it looked great all day without having to add powder. I've also used under my BB cream its become a regular part of my beauty routine.

I bought this as a part of my iherb E.L.F. haul on a whim. I never really use a primer - you could say my makeup routine is rather basic (but quick which is great in the morning)!

First of all, I must say I love E.L.F. LOVE. I am a major bargain hunter and I think that this is one of the best brands for the price. That being said, there are exceptions of course but that is a case for another review.

For someone having never used a primer before I must say I didn't notice huge differences between using it and not using it. However this product itself is in great packaging - I love the pump bottle as it is less messy than tube products. It feels super super silky when you apply it; almost feels like you have powder on your fingers. The only issue with this is it is difficult to tell whether you have spread it over your entire face. I let it dry before applying my foundation and bam, done.

I don't think it smoothed out my face - but then again this could just be me (I do have some scarring that this product didn't help hide). I think my makeup may have lasted a little longer than usual but not so much so that I noticed a huge difference. The best part is that it made applying foundation so much smoother and it is mainly that reason that I would recommend this product and that I keep using it.

So overall, a good product. I wouldn't say it is a miracle product but this just may simply be my troublesome skin. It is super silky and nice to apply and makes putting on makeup that little bit easier. Nicely done again E.L.F!

Ive been using this primer for a week now and I have noticed the difference in my foundation at the end of the day.

It no longer has the flaky look where my skin has a tendency to get dry.

It goes on so smoothly it feels like a powder on your skin, the downside of being clear is its hard to tell where its been applied.

For price its great and I use it every day but for special occasions where I really want my skin to stand out I think there is better but they of course come with a price.

This Primer is my HG! Absolutely love the quality of the product and the bonus is that its really affordable! This comes in a small clear pump bottle, and the lid tends to fall off a lot, but it is a clear thick gel so this doesn't matter too much. The primer glides on smoothly and when first applied, feels quite oily on the skin! I have oily skin myself so I was a bit worried about this, but after a few seconds the primer dries and your skin is left feeling nice and smooth. You only need a tiny amount so be careful not to be too heavy handed with the pump. I'm not convinced that this primer minimizes pores, but for the price you are getting good quality. Foundation glides on flawlessly, and I find that the primer helps to create a nice dewy finish. If your new to makeup or are looking for a cheap primer, this is definitely the one to use!

I have been using this primer for about three weeks now and i love it. Previously I was using benefits professional. I personally think the elf mineral infused primer is quite similar in texture and feel,and it provided the same staying power when I had my foundation applied on top as the benefits porefessional primer. Because of how much cheaper the elf primer is I will be repurchasing it over benefits professional.

I really need to try this some more. I've actually mostly used it on client and I don't know what went wrong but on several occasions the primer started coming off. I think I will give it a few more goes on myself. But so far I'm not particularly impressed.

I started using this primer and it was great it kept my foundation on and made it go on silky smooth. But then about 3 days later.. boom. Huuuge painful and embarassing acne breakout! I usually get one at a time and usually only my chin or forehead but I got acne all ovet my cheeks too! It was the most peculiar thing. I haven't used it for a month now and the acne has gone but my skin isn't the same anymore.. I hate this product :(

I love this primer. Its not expensive, and it does exactly what it says. gives a nice silky base to start your make up on. The bottle is a good size, and the smell of it is pleasant.

I purchased one of these primers off iherb.com when I did a big haul , I didnt expect anything to great because it only cost around $4.00 i was shocked when I used it had such a beautiful finish really matte and smooth , I love that its in a pump bottle easy clean application and you get a really great amount of product . I compair this to myLoreal primer and I cant tell the difference some texture Loreal cost me around $45+ for a tiny pot .

Why spend so much on a primer when you can get a product as great as this? I have tried so many primers, BB creams etc to help my foundation last all day and i could never find a good enough long lasting one until i came across this on Iherb.com - It made my foundation glide on smooth and stay put, even during summer!
