I love opting for cheaper products as im a poor aaa student so being able to buy products like this off iherb is amazing!! It makes for an amazing setting powder and evens everything out. When having photos taken with flash it does give a WHITE face so be careful

Reviews
to be honest, I wasn't as blown away as I was expecting to be after reading the reviews for this product. The packaging is very bulky and it is quite difficult to get the product out without it spilling everywhere. I find it best to apply with a powder brush instead of the one it comes with as the White fluff rubs off on to my face.
It makes the skin look a lot paler so I sometimes find it best to apply this first then use a coloured powder to touch up the White areas. However it does give a airbrushed look and leaves my skin feeling very soft and smooth.
Oh dear.... I was really excited to try this powder... The first time I wore it was to my work Christmas function last year. It went on the skin really well, and set my foundation well too. I really liked the product until I saw the photos of me the next day... I had white patches all over my face.. SO embarrassing because the photos were there for all of the staff to see :(
The pot it comes in is OK, but kind of hard to get the product out. I prefer compact powder over loose any day.
I got this powder to try out the powder before foundation trick I have been hearing about. For this purpose I feel it worked very very well. It created a flawless base for my foundation and the glitter partials made my skin very glowy. I have used this as a setting powder over my foundation also and it seemed to so a good job but I would not however recommend this as a setting powder if you are going to be photographed as it gives a very very bad flashback and makes your face white and blotchy. The packaging is a bit bulky so keep that in mind for storage and I would recommend using a fluffy powder brush to get the best coverage rather than the puff that it comes with.
Tips: Just be careful when opening the powder as with being loose it can get all over the place.
I recently bought this online, intending to get the plain formula but ordering the shimmering version. When it arrived I thought it was a complete write off as I could not see myself ever going for the disco ball look. However, I did a little experimenting and found this product to be wonderful!
I find the packaging to be simple and lovely. Comes with a powder pad that stops excess product getting everywhere, so the design is practical. The pad is decent for application but I prefer to use a brush to get a more subtle, even coverage. The shimmer was not overpowering, as I expected. Rather, it gave me a healthy luminous glow that photographed incredibly well! It sat nicely atop my foundation and lasted all day. Love it!
Don't get me wrong it's not a bad product particularly for the price, I just find it can make you look too pale and is very drying.
It definitely sets your makeup but can settle in creases. The packaging is a pain as the product goes everywhere on you open and close it.
I will continue to use it but I won't be repurchasing.
Tips: Use small amounts. be careful when opening and closing.
I'm a matte finish sort of girl, so was super excited to try this finishing powder. And while I desperately want to love it (and there is a few features I like) there are 2 main things that are holding me back.
1) If used with anything less than a full foundation make up, it dries my skin like nobodies business. 2) When photographed it shows up white as Casper the ghost. Which is even less ideal as point 1 proved that I needed a full face of make up, which is normally when I'm going out to photographable events!
I think if you wear heavier make up on a daily basis, or have particularly oily skin, this product would work a lot better for you. Because it does still give you a smooth complexion, and does give a matte finish. But for me I think I'll continue my quest for scaly free matte finishes.
I bought this product after I had read so many great reviews about it, but I don't feel that it's as great as other people have found it. It does help if your foundation is a little bit too dark, as it is very white. It is very affordable, so it's not all bad. I find that it does the job for me, but is a bit difficult to get out.
Tips: It is easier to apply with a brush, rather than the applicator that comes with it.
I'll start with the bad - throw away the sifter thingy in the top and the puff it comes with, they're rubbish. Also rubbish is the actual container it comes in, it's big, hard to open and close and just cheap looking.
Once inside however I find the product to be pretty good at setting my makeup and I have an oily T zone. Probably wouldn't recommend it for really oily skin over summer as it may not be heavy duty enough to last the day.
I like to apply this with the RT duo fibre brushes as they give a really light application, which is good as this powder will make you look paler esp if you don't blend it in well enough.
The best thing about this powder is the "blurring" effect. My skin looks quite a bit softer and younger after use, it actually helps tone down the fine imperfections.
So, thumbs up e.l.f, it's a good product that I can see my self repurchasing.
Tips: Use a duo fibre brush for light application.
If you've gone crazy on the blusher or your foundation is too dark for you, this will help make it less noticeable.
I like to apply this powder before I put my foundation on. I find it makes my skin look healthy and glow and my foundation does last slightly longer too! After using this product my skin feels so soft. Only downfall of the product is the packaging. It is bulky and getting the product out can be a messy process.
Tips: Try using this under your foundation!
