Essence Lash and Brow Gel Mascara Review

Found it didn't do anything, was hoping to find a cheaper brow gel than my usual loreal one, but this didn't keep anything in place or keep my hairs down. Was super affordable to and may work on someone with little/thin or fine brows.

When I first started growing out my brows, I used this to help shape them. It is pretty much what it says - a gel in a mascara-type applicator.

Essence Lash and Brow Gel Mascara comes in a clear tube with blue accents, and the product itself is also clear. Unfortunately, this means that if you use this over a brow pencil, the colour ends up back in the tube, and it ends up looking murky and dirty even though it's just colour transfer.

The gel helps shape brows and tame flyaways, but doesn't add colour or anything - it's merely a tame and shine.

The applicator is a little large for the task at hand, which makes it easy to get product on your skin - this is easily removed with a cotton bud.

All in all, this is a very simply brow product, but it gave me a good idea of what i wanted, and eventually found in Benefit GimmeBrow (of which Essence does a decent dupe).

I didn't try this on my lashes at all, so can't comment there.

My eyebrows are a pain to tame! I don't like trimming my eyebrow hairs a lot because it grows back even longer. I used many waxes to try hold them down but they didn't last. This last for most of the day but it's easy to carry around and I apply it 2-3 times through the day but it works!

I haven't used this on my eyelashes as I never saw the need.

I don't use any eyebrow fillers/pencils as my brows are already full enough and this helps me keep them that way! Completely LOVE it! :-)

I picked this up from my Farmers after I discovered they stocked Essence - the whole range is so cheap and most products are great quality! I was running out of my NYX brow gel so I thought why not give this one a go, and I wasn't disappointed! This is a great basic brow gel for the price.

This comes in a clear tube, with blue writing on it which is nice for the price point. Because the tube is clear, over time brow product does make it look discoloured and dirty but the product still performs the same. This tames brows very well, and holds my brows in place all day (they tend to droop down a bit sometimes!). It isn't crunchy or stiff, which is a problem I've run into with multiple other brow gels.

I would definitely recommend this brow gel, it performs amazingly for the price point and is even better than multiple brow gel's I've tried for up to 4 times the price!

I found this product was good in terms of hold for my eyebrows and helped tidy up them too. Although the applicator was a bit larger than my eyebrow, so it definitely needed to be applied before anything else (foundation etc.). It also help to tame my baby hairs which is usually really tough for me to do, but was reasonably quick and easy. On the other hand, this product was a no in terms of mascara for eyelashes because it took too long to dry, so it just spread everywhere and didn't add any length or curl to my lashes. Overall I think this product was an affordable and easy accessible product for my everyday makeup and helping tame bushy brows.

I picked this brow gel up from Farmers after searching around online in hopes of finding a cheap one. Unfortunately, I found it did nothing for my brows OR my lashes. When I used it on my brows, it had no hold at all. I might as well have put water on a spoolie. It also doesn't work as a mascara, which wasn't particularly surprising after the brow disappointment. I curled my lashes and then applied it and once again it was as if I had just applied water. My lashes drooped in less than five minutes. Overall I wouldn't recommend this product for either of its purposes.

This was a product I was really disappointed in - it definitely did not do what it claims it will or can do. My eyebrows did not stay in position after using this product - and I was quite disappointed and went back to the store to look for something else. The only positive about this product is the price - it is really affordable - but sadly did not deliver.

This product I love to use on my brows a lot, but it doesn't do much for my eyelashes. Still very affordable and good for the price, I use this product a lot, and every time I use it I get compliments on my brows. I just feel its not very noticeable on my lashes but still recommend it as the price is very very cheap and will make your brows perffff!
