I bought this eyeliner to try because I had never used a 'pen' type before. Loved the fine tip. Product not super long lasting but I guess for the price not too bad. Opthalmology tested so that is a big plus for me.

Tips: I found that the best way to store this pen is to pop it in a little container with the tip pointing down, as if kept in my makeup bag, it was not easy to get the ink to come down to the tip.
I bought Essence's Superfine Eyeliner Pen after my Eye of Horus Liquid Define Liner ran out.
In the past, I've always found liquid eyeliner to be quite tricky to apply as my hands shake quite a bit, but I find that a pen-like style liquid liner makes application so much easier for me and I have a lot more control over where the eyeliner goes.
The black liner has quite a long, pointy felt-tip that allows the liquid to glide on smoothly, creating a thin sharp line. For bolder lines, I just need to add a few more strokes of the pen, but that is often when things go wrong, as the super long tip of this pen makes precise application a little more difficult than other pen-style liquid eyeliners with slightly shorter tips.
The formula of eyeliner liquid dried almost instantly and didn’t imprint my eyelids, and it definitely stayed on all day or night. I found that if I missed a spot and needed to go back over it, that it was problem, the product just glided on smoothly to cover the gap without flaking or crumbling any of the existing product on my lid.
I would consider repurchasing this, but I do prefer to use an eyeliner with a slightly shorter tip, as if find I have more control and precision with a shorter, more stable pen tip.
Tips: Stand the pen on its lid when not in use, it'll stop the pen from drying out.
This eyeliner I find lasts longer use wise than any other felt tip liner I've purchased before. It has great pigment pay of and gives a great solid black line. The tip gives you enough control to line the lid nicely as well as a super fine winged liner as well and stays on through almost anything!
Love this pen, it makes dramatic and sleek eyeliner soooo much easier to apply. Because it's so fine, it's easy to fix up after a slight shake of the hand without ending up looking like a panda. I also find it doesn't tug at the skin like creamy pencil eyeliners, so overall it's a yes from me.
Picked one of these up for a great price, and served me very well throughout my emo phase LMAO. Eyeliner works well, has a nice pointy end for precision, lasts basically the whole day and is nice and inky. The product does start to get a little crumbly near the end of the day though.
This pencil has a great, retractable tip with no need for sharpening. It is highly pigmented and relatively blendable, although extended blending can make it patchy. It doesn't flake, is easy to use, and an amazing price.
Tips: You may need to reapply sections if heavily blending
$7 well spent and its always out of stock so when its in stock I buy a few to get me through, I've repurchased this liner pen 10+ and recommend it to everyone.
Its as small as a pencil and the pen tip is long to create accurate strokes and flicks, I can get this pen so close to my eyelash bed with ease, the formula is dark and after a few seconds of dry time it is set. I like how small the pen is to maneuver and it fits well in my hand.
The only downfall of this pen is if you get product eg. foundation or concealer on it you need to run the pen on the back of your hand for it to start working properly again as it absorbs the product.
Will be repurchasing again, its a treasure!
Tips: Perfect stocking filler or present for beginners who are learning to do makeup.
Easy to use, good pigment, easy to apply, exactly as described. I love this affordable eyeliner and will keep buying it
Essence has really impressed me with their lovely lippies and blushes, and needing an eyeliner I couldn't wait to try this. Would it be as good as the other Essence products I've tried? And the answer is most definitely yes.
The packaging is super simple, yet stylish. It comes in a black, sleek looking pen like shape. Modern looking and just functional. The only thing is it's quite easy to get lost in my makeup bag with the other black items!
The eyeliner pen is comfortable to grip and the tip is quite fine. I've used pencils, gels and other pens in the past and this is very easy to use in comparison. I'm definitely not a master at eyeliner, but this has made it so much easier, and its great for doing winged eyeliner, as the tip is fine.
The formula is nice and gentle on my eyes, as my eyes can be sensitive- but no issues at all using this.
With a steady hand this makes putting eyeliner on much more smoothly than other products I've tried. The only downside is sometimes you have to repeat the line you have created, as the formula seemed to not come out as quickly as I'm used to.
Overall, I've tried quite a few eyeliners and this one is definitely great quality for the price. Also, even though it's affordable it's so gentle on my sensitive eyes. Yet another winner from Essence.
For the price its fine, but it drys in the tube quickly and you get minimal product, so you'd have to constantly repurchase it. It was annoying to use as it was dry and made eyeliner difficult, was a lovely dark black when it came on though, but you'd have to have the time to use this product, not in a rushed scenario.
Tips: Always tighten the cap to prevent further drying of the liner
