I absolutely love this Essie Nailpolish! This light blue shade is my absolute favourite colour, and it took me a long time to find a nailpolish which reflected what I was looking for. I found other brands like OPI would often have more green or purple undertones, but this Essie polish is a lovely blue. It goes on smoothly and evenly like all Essie polishes. However I found that at least two coats are required to give the full colour as you see in the bottle. It has great durability and I found it stayed on for up to a week without peeling or chipping with a good base and top coats. I would definitely recommend this to others if you are as crazy about pastel blue as I am!

Tips: Apply at least two layers, with Essie base and top coats for more coverage and durability.
I love this colour so mch, it is a deep blue with a lovely metallic- like finish, it's a great summer colour that reminds me of the sea, it can also be worn in winter for a cheer up of the winter blues. I have received great compliments when I have worn this :).
Tips: I usually do two or more coats so the colour is fully opaque :)
This nail polish is lovely, the colour is fantastic and it goes on easily with a wider brush, and dries super quickly. You'll need two or three coats for a smooth even coverage though. It lasts well too, especially when using a base and top coat.
Don't get me wrong, I still love OPI, But I think in terms of how long-lasting it is, price comparison to OPI and function I really do have a new favourite brand.
I've discovered I really prefer their nail brush or the nail polish in general? I tend to get more of a easy glide in layering my nail-polish because its not as thick. In terms of price I find it is also cheaper than some other brands when you get it at the make-up sale.
I find Essie such an amazing brand to use. I actually really love their colour range, and it is among my favourite nail polish brands along with OPI and Butter London. I own mint candy apple, chinchilly, ballet slippers, after school boy blazer and another coral I cannot remember the name of. I find application easy and it doesn't chip or bubble or anything. Drys reasonably quick as well, at least faster than OPI. I think most of all, they were most worth buying for me because I got them in America, where they were only about $4 each. If I were to buy nail polish in NZ, I would probably still go for OPI over Essie just because the prices are practically the same.
Tips: The coral colour that I own sort of changes colour when a top coat is applied... Still a rad colour just more yellowy than the colour purchased. Inside the bottle, it is starting to go this colour too. Could be because of sunlight or something, but just keep them well stored!
I have a large collection of Essie Nail Polishes! At the moment I have 15 but that can change at any point as I find more colours I love. My original love was OPI but since I found Essie I haven't looked back. I love the small square bottles on these. The new bottles have the name on the top so if you are obsessive as I am you know what polish it is from the the top, and the little bit of colour peeking around the sides. The brush is great, on the new bottles it is quite flat and rounded so extremely easy to get the whole nail in one pass. The older bottles have quite a skinny brush but still lovely. I love most of these polishes for their great fashionable colours, and their ability for these to stay for 4+ days. Most of the time I purchase these off candygirl.co.nz for a great selection and occasionally fantastic sales.
I'm going to split this review into two lists, the ones I love, and the ones I don't love as much.
THE LOVES; Mint Candy Apple, the perfect mint summer shade. Jazz, a beige that is perfect for everyday in the office. Bahama Mama, that ox-blood red everyone talks about in winter. Angora Cardi, a muted version of Bahama Mama that I almost love more. Dive Bar, a metallic greeny-blue that looks stunning in every light. Penny Talk, the shade I searched for for so long and ended up buying off fishpond for far too much money. A golden light bronze metallic that I don't end up wearing nearly enough.
THE LIKES; Minimalistic, a pale pale washed out pink. French Affair, a pastel light pink. The reason these aren't loves are both the same. The number of coats it takes to get a full opaque finish is just stupid. You can do over four coats and still find streaks. I just don't reach for these because I can't be bothered.
I purchased a bottle from Farmers Store. The price was very similar to that of Revlon and although slightly more than some, it was less than others so pretty middle of the range. Packaging simple. The brush is really good for application. The colour is soft and does not show wear at the end of the first day so I found it suitable for work. I am sold on Essie. I had applied a base and top coat but found the polish lasted approximately a week before showing slight wear at the end of the nail but not chipping. What has impressed me is that I have been using it for a while now and it has showed no signs of thickening. This is the second Essie polish (I generally purchase for colour rather than brand) but will definitely check the Essie colours out now in preference to any other nail polish.
Tips: Keep in the fridge as it prolongs the life of the nail varnish.
For the price Essie nail polish is a really solid product. It hasn't chipped as quickly as some nail polishes and I LOVE the pastel colours that go on in a really lovely opaque. You can get away with one coat but I generally use two because I like a really solid coverage. They make beautiful seasonal shades. My favourite for summer is Fiji which is a gorgeous barely pink creme. I also use Vested Interest for winter when I feel like something really different.
Tips: a good top coat will make the polish last but it is still good enough for a quick couple of coats before you shoot out the door.
I love this nail polish soooooo much-I have no idea what formula Essie use but for putting on nail polish yourself-I feel like this is the best nailpolish out! AND THE COLOUR SELECTION IS AWESOMEEEEEE
I own so many nail polishes and can never choose which to use. This colour is a easy pick for when I can't decide, it's a gorgeous colour that complements my skin tone and is perfect for summer. Application is easy. I would like this to have a bit more stay power. I have major issues with polishes that don't dry quickly and this did not disappoint my. It dried relatively quickly so I could get on with my day. May need to use a couple of layers, as with many polishes. I would use this again, and have used it many times. I love it!
