I think essie is a good brand but i didn't like how clumpy my polish got after the first few uses. maybe i didn't keep it in the right temp or something but deffinately didn't have a long shelf life for me. The color on the other hand is right up my alley. a nice blue but at the same time a bit shiny!

I've loved the white nail trend I've been seeing all over the red carpets lately, and this nail-polish lets me achieve my own sophisticated look from the comfort of my own home!! The polish is quite sheer in texture, requiring two to three coats to really build to an opaque (almost twink-like) white. I'd avoid going much over this, because it does get awfully thick (and very stubborn about drying) when you apply too much. The brush is a lovely paddle-shape, which spreads to cover a lot of area very easily. Altogether, a really lovely polish with a lovely smooth finish, and a great way to stay on-trend, right down to the colour of your nails!!
Tips: Use a base and top coat for a smooth, shiny finish. Apply 2-3 coats to get an opaque white, but avoid going over this as the polish becomes thick and difficult to set!
I have a few of Essie's bright colours in my polish collection but after trying this I can see why people rave about this neutral colour. It is a 'your nails, but better' colour. It makes your nails look really healthy and polished due to the slightly glossy finish. It would be perfect for job interviews, weddings or any time a neutral nail colour is needed.
Like all Essie polishes it is DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free and goes on like a dream. With this particular colour you do need a few coats to get the perfect colour as it is a light formula and can look a bit streaky. I also found that it can take awhile to dry completely so just allow a bit of time or use a fast dry top coat.
I have found that it stayed on my nails well (with a top coat) and didn't chip easily, I was very impressed with this polish and will continue to have this staple colour in my collection for many years to come.
Tips: Use three coats to get the best colour and make sure it is streak free.
I love love loooove this colour! Im a huge fan of dark or bright colours, but with work im unable to express my self :( Ballet slippers gives me the light natural colour shade and goes highly unoticed by my bosses! (hopefully they will not read this lol)
I find you do have to apply a generous amount, on a high note, a mistake can go missed.
The downside, is i literally have to sit there and do nothing for atleast a good half an hour to avoid ruining the polish, so i think some quick dry spray is needed.
Overall i will continue to use this product.
Tips: A good buff beforehand helps the polish to stick. Let your colour dry a tad before applying your top coat, this avoids colour streaking and a faster drying time.
Such a gorgeous colour! This is a soft, subtle pink, nice and discreet for the office or for spring time. I like to use this in a french mani for a feminine touch.
I am currently on a teal/green nail kick but this shade is all wrong too shimmery and frosty and looks incredibly dated. Great essie formula but not fond of the shade at all.
This color is very similar to many that I have in my kit, which says that its a color I like. This one I have found especially good as it has a great depth to it. To me it has a very nautical feel to it. It has lasted very well on my nails, and considering I am out of top coat, this says a lot. I would absolutely recommend this shade, and Essie to anybody. 5/5 from me.
I quite liked this product. In the 80's I used to twink my nails - so I was seriously excited to review this nail polish. I loved the brush, nice and wide and easily applied. I did find it a bit streaky. I put on two coats which looks acceptable. I would used this again and I would be happy with the result.
I was so excited to be trying this, and hoping it wouldnt look like twink (as previous white nail polishes have). However i was a little disappointed as after 2 coats the polish was still streaky, and after the 3rd coat it looked like twink. I tried it as soon as I received it and so thought maybe it was a bit shaken up from being in the post, so tried again 2 days later. Same result and now the polish seemed thick and gluggy too :( However, on the up side, I have since used this as an undercoat and applied coloured patterns over the top - wow. The white really makes the colours POP!! Will totally keep using as now i can maximise the colour while avoiding the 'twink look'.
Tips: Use as an undercoat for nail art, transfer patterns, etc. Also ensure you always add a super shiny top coat (to plain white or patterned) to avoid the twink look.
I was disappointed in this as I saw pics of it which appeared opaque and streak free. They must've used 10 layers! I've only achieved an opaque look with at least 3 coats but it's still looked streaky. I'm not a fan of its formula at all, very watery, streaky and sheer. Makes application a nightmare. This is the only Essie polish I've tried, I'm a little hesitant to buy any more based on this polish sadly.
