Essie has the most beautiful range of colours. The formula of their polishes is very pigmented so you only need two coats. They are very thin coats which is great because they last longer and dry quicker.

I love this brand and their soft colour collections. Beautiful and gentle on my nails. The pigment is on the moderate level, so double coat them if you want the prominent colour and leave them in single coat and let it dry quicker! :)
I love Essie for nail polishes. They have such a vast array of colours and have the best names for them. I always apply 2 layers of the polish and then a top coat and it lasts for quite some time. High pigmentation and low chipping. Will always go back to these. Definitely recommend and will always repurchase.
Tips: 1 coat for a more sheer layer, 2 or 3 for a opaque look. Always top with a top coat to protect these gems.
I have a few Essie nail polishes and I really like them, I find the colour pigmentation is very good and typically I need one coat, sometimes two if it is a more pale colour or just to touch up. I always use a top coat over top and the nail polish typically lasts between 3-5 days without chipping. Essie also has a huge range of colours to choose from and they are priced reasonable and sometimes even on special. I will be repurchasing more essie nail polishes in the future.
I enjoy Essie, the colour is pretty good and I mostly need one coat, sometimes two for touch-ups. It usually stays on for about 3-5 days before it begins to chip. The dark colours do stain your nails though and leaves mine looking yellow. I love the range of colours available and sometimes I grab a new colour if they go on sale at Farmers.
Tips: Use nail oil as with any nail polish to keep nails and cuticles hydrated.
I’m used to O.P.I polishes and still think they are pretty good but I went to farmers and couldn’t resist the buy one get one half price on Essie polishes. I was after something a bit more festive so wanted a white.
I am definitely lazy and don’t over and undercoat. I go straight for the polish so this is purely a polish based review. I grabbed marshmallow (a white) and peach side babe (peach) for after Xmas when I want something a bit more tropical now the suns arrived. Both gorgeous colours.
I have been pleasantly surprised. My old polishes chip and look bad after about 3 days use but my Essie polishes are still going strong unchipped 1 week later I am amazed. With any polish I like a minimum 2 coats so keep that in mind.
But it hasn’t chipped at all. My tips are in tip top shape. Given there is some minor scratching and thinning from being knocked about, worn, wet etc but it still has the appearance of evenly painted nails.. if your not looking too closely that is.
Really impressed! Definitely a convert and so excited to get some cheaper polishes with a huge variety of colours.
I look at my vanity and see an overflow of Essie. Obviously my favourite. Well firstly it's affordable especially online thru other stores you cna get them on special. What I like is the square bottle, the paint brush is nice to hold and use and their range of shades are varied with cute names toboot. The brush is a nice square shape making it easy to apply however the bristles aren't flimsy nor are they stiff the combination of it could be called perfect. One layer could almost be enough but I like depth with my colours so I add two coats of paint to get that deep colour of the polish. I don't usually have a top coat on or a base, I'm lazy nail person and therefore it's just the polish itself. I can say with this alone I get a good wear of the polish before nay chipping occurs and I'm OK with that.
I do like Essie in general but some of the colours I have used have been better than others. I have been disappointed on a couple of occasions with some colours, especially light pink, being really thin and streaky and requiring lots of coats. In saying that though I would still probably buy darker colours in the brand because they seem to be more highly pigmented.
I was so excited when Essie came to farmers in my town a few years ago because I had heard about it being raved about in beauty gurus videos. I was pleasantly surprised at the price too at $17.99 for the regular range which is very extensive.
I enjoyed this nail polish range because of all of the beautiful colours that are in it, they are easy to apply with the fantastic square brush I'd say. It makes it easy to cover the nail in a few swipes which is convenient for those who dont want to spend too much time on their nails.
Overall I will keep purchasing this brand (once I stop biting my nails and keep growing them) I recommend this brand to everyone, it has never let me down.
I do think that Aruba Blue was among one of the first Essie nail polishes that I purchased, it is sacred and I am very glad that I keep all my polishes out of the sunlight as I have trouble to find this shade to repurchase which is a shame and I hate when brands do that as it really is like painting blue sapphires straight onto your nails.
The coverage: Perfect with opaque being acheived within 1 to 2 coats, it is also creamy so doesn't want to flood your cuticles giving you a clean, crisp, well manicured polished look which I adore.
The colour: Like liquid sapphires that have a rich deepness like the Aruba coastline.
Chips and flakes: After about 5 days of wear with constant sanitization of hands and typing as well as general household upkeep saw the polish chip towards the end of the week but this was without a top coat.
Essie is a brand that I love, and have far too many of their polishes for a normal person but then who wants to be normal, how boring, I want all the colours, textures and finishes.
