This is my fave no-smudge mascara and I'm a bit of a mascara fiend. But it is pretty intense and can pull lashes out if you're not careful with how you remove it.

I really like this mascara, its easy to apply although you have to be a little careful of clumping. If you have a lash comb or old mascara brush to remove clumps, this mascara is great.
Pros: - Wears all day with no smudges - Easy to remove - Gives great length and separation
Cons: - Can clump if not careful - Needs fast application as it dries quickly and doesn't like being recoated once dry
I love this mascara! It separates your lashes so well and isn't too over-the-top so is perfect for day wear. It's very long lasting and doesn't clump. It doesn't dry that fast so, if you blink or have longer lashes can smudge slightly. Since it separates so well, it also makes my lashes look very long!
My absolute pet peeve is mascara that flakes or smudges off on your face. The Double Wear Zero Smudge mascara is awesome, it has quite a small brush width so it has a more accurate application. It lengthens and darkens lashes and stays on until you want to wash it off. Removal is the best of any mascara I've ever tried, just use warm water. It comes off in 'tubes'. Sounds weird, but most mascaras dissolve and give you panda eyes, this product doesn't break up like that. Super easy!
Tips: Most people don't know, but this mascara has a water-heat activated removal. People complain that they can't get it off with make up remover (which are usually quite oily). What you need to do with this one is use a warm flannel or run your finger tips over your lashes in the shower. That's it! It doesn't require any fancy removal products.
I have tried their other mascaras such as the Projectionist mascara, and I would have to say that this one pales in comparison. It's quite clumpy and doesn't give as much volume or length as the Projectionist one. Not worth the money in my opinion, because there are much better ones out there - and even cheaper too, such as the Maybelline ones. Also, when I apply it, it always flicks onto my eyelids which really annoys me and didn't happen with the Projectionist one. Again, it's alright, but there are definitely better ones out there.
I really wanted to like this mascara, as Estee Lauder have discontinued the Projectionist one that I loved! But I hated this one, it lengthens but it doesn't thicken at all, and it takes ages to build up on your lashes and they tend to clump together. No its doesn't smudge, but neither do any of the estee lauder mascaras, and the lack of volume leaves me with spindly long , thin looking lashes. I love estee lauder products, but I would have to say that this is a dud and I'm still searching for a replacement for my beloved Projectionist!
I was SO sad when EL discontinued the lash XL, but I had high hopes for this one as it was a replacement for the lash XL. I was not disappointed. I would say the formulas are quite similar, it's quite a thin consistency and there is no clumping whatsoever (except when the mascara is starting to dry out and getting towards the end of its life). Staying power is great and the brush is skinny and easy to control. Doesn't do much for volume, which I've realized is quite important for me as I have really sparse lashes. This mascara definitely isn't one of those that can do a fake lash effect, but is great for a day time look.
Tips: Great for the girls who naturally have thick, lush lashes.
