I had to , HAD TO purchase this "go to" foundation after seeing so much positive feed back about it. I have always had a slight problem with makeup not staying putt and melting off my face half way through the day or becoming patchy and uneven in certain areas ESPECIALLY LIQUID, so I took a risk buying DW, annnnnd it disappointed me, it would look good for about an hour after it began to get patchy and oily. Its as hard as it is to put on to take off , after wearing it for a couple of days ( in hope it would just work) I began to break out, with red an rash looking bumps around my chin and cheeks . I am so glad this foundation has saved some of your beauties face days , but it just didn't work for me :(

Tips: Use a stippling brush to apply .
I like a lot of things about this foundation - it has great coverage, blends really well and easily and stays on all day. There are a lot of choices in colour, as well, so you can be matched to a shade really close to your own. The only downside is that it slips into the dry places on my skin (around my nose and eyes) and makes my skin look even drier.
Tips: If you have dry skin, use a strong moisturizer before you apply it (sometimes I even put it on over the foundation).
Well, I would definitely recommend this foundation for people who desperately wants perfect coverage for acne scars and up-coming acne and with people who have oily skin. I personally felt it was to thick for my skin ( which is dry skin). I would not recommend this to dry skin people like me but would definitely recommend it to people with dry skin.
Tips: colour match. Always important part. And before the foundation, do light layers of skincare and it will prevent fast break-down of foundation over time.
I received a sample and I quite liked it, mainly because I have an oily skin. It lasts all day and it's truly mattifying. The only downside for me was that the shade seemed to have matched my skin tone at the beauty counter but it was actually too light. I used it anyway and just applied a darker powder over it which worked fine. You have to be quick with application because the foundation does set very quickly. I would only use this if I was going out to a party or during summer if I really feel the need to wear foundation. It is mainly suitable for the oily/combination type skins and would not recommend it for those with dry skin because it does not moisturize at all. Application is best when using a good quality moisturizer and this allows for a smoother application.
I am a foundation hoarder but was seriously lacking anything in my collection which provided all day coverage. This came highly recommended, so I picked up the lightest shade online with the hope that it would suit my pale skin.
The shade 1C1 cool bone is the lightest shade available in this foundation. It is a good match to my face, but (as is often the case), is far too dark for my neck- this means I need to bronze my neck to match the two together (something I generally have to do as my neck is white as snow). This foundation is comparable shade wise to Mont Blanc by Nars. Unfortunately this oxidised about a shade darker on me, so keep this in mind when you select a shade.
I found that this foundation works best with well moisturized skin and with a primer that has a bit of slip-either one which is moisturizing, or a silicon primer which doesn't set matte. I find that this foundation can emphasise any texture on my skin so I veer towards an anti-ageing primer (currently fusion beauty) as this offers some blurring along with a bit of hydration. I found that super thin layers were the way to go with doublewear as this can go super cakey otherwise. A little goes a long way and this sets fast so be sure to work in small areas blending in with a sponge as you go. Even though I don't typically have oil breakthrough with foundation I did with this one, so keep this in mind if you have very oily skin. I found that this looked best with my Hourglass ambient lighting powders to set- this gave my face a bit of luminosity whilst still having decent coverage. I think that a setting powder targeted more towards keeping the skin matte would help to control the end of day oiliness more effectively (I just don't prefer the super matte look).
Coverage wise this calls itself a medium, but I would class it more as medium/full, and you can build to a proper full coverage if you work in a couple of thin layers. While I still had about medium coverage at the end of the day I did find that this seemed to highlight all of the pores and imperfections on my skin once this had been on the skin for a few hours. I also didn't like the heavy greasy feel that this had at the end of a long day. I do think that this will be an amazing stage makeup, as from a distance this looks absolutely gorgeous on the skin. I didn't find that the foundation noticeably settled into my pores which is a common complaint for me. Unfortunately for me I think my skin has too much texture to really be compatible with this foundation so will probably not repurchase.
I have oily acne scarred skin, and I had heard so much about this foundation and how amazing it was. It gives great coverage but for me it just isn’t enough. I can still see my pigmentation and scars underneath and I applied quite a heavy double layer. Would be great for someone with clear skin
I found this very dry on my skin and I don’t have dry skin. Only used a small amount and gives great coverage.
I found this long lasting and full coverage but its alot of money when i find that revlon colourstay works just as well
I have a fair bit of acne on my face, but not to a point where it's severe. I find most foundations and BB creams leave those weird circle crust things around some of my zits, but not this foundation! It covered everything, and had a flawless finish. Very pricey, so I'm not sure I could afford using this regularly, but I would recommend this as a true cosmetic investment. Definitely a "special occasion" foundation.
Tips: Make sure to set this foundation with a good powder, as I find it has a very shiny finish for me, as I have combination skin. It has a thick coverage, so it's important to blend very well also. I would recommend using brushes or any relevant tools to apply this.
Sometimes this foundation works for my skin, others it doesn't. I don't like the inconsistency and not sure why it happens as my skin tends to be the same. I have the lightest shade which is Cool Bone but it is still slightly different to my skin tone as it seems to have a pinky undertone to it which my skin doesn't have. When this product does work on my skin it looks great, feels great and lasts till I get home, however sometimes it let's me down and makes my face look cakey and highlights any spots I may have.
