Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

I LOVE my double wear foundation. it always looks good regardless of what primer I use. so it is definitely a more medium to full coverage foundation but it can be a bit more natural looking depending on amount used and how applied.

I find if I want really full coverage to use a brush to apply it, a sigma f80 or similar works well.

If I want less coverage I use a beauty blender (my go to), I also find that you can start out with less product and keep building if you want more full coverage.

this foundation is certainly on the matte side, I do not mind this though as I have combo skin, I like to add my shine on after.

I do not find it oxidises on me, it covers the redness on my checks and makes my pores dissappear, and no matter the occassion, it never lets me down.

I do not wear makeup to work everyday so I am unsure If I would use something this heavy as my everyday. but because I do not use it all the time I don't find it too expensive.

It does irritate me that it doesn't come with a foundation pump, but you can buy the MAC foundation pumps and they fit the bottles so while annoying is not a deal breaker.

Definitely my favourite foundation for going out! Don't think I could use any others for night wear after using this. Stays on all night and into the early hours, doesn't smudge or come off on any of your clothes and has really good coverage which I find super important. So many colour options, I have a few different ones to match throughout the seasons and when Ive had a spray tan.

This is quickly becoming one of my fave foundations. I really like the natural looking finish I get and it stays on for hours. I've gotten compliments using this. I've never worn it for 15 or 24 hours so I don't know about those claims but it does look pretty good for most of the day and into the evening. I use a primer and the Urban Decay All Nighter so that does extend the wear a bit. I haven't gotten any breakouts using this and I have found I only need a small amount to even out my skin so even though it's expensive it lasts a long time. I would recommend this to anyone with oily to more normal skin that wants a longwearing foundation with a natural finish.

This foundation is definitely worth the hype. It is a very full coverage long lasting formula that stays looking flawless throughout the day. It sits on the skin really well and looks amazing and fresh for atleast 12 hours. I have experienced with other long wearing full coverage foundations , they usually start to budge and move or crack however this one always looks the same at the end of the day as it first does when I apply it on my face. 10/10 for this product.

After using a few different professional brands, I still wasn't satisfied with the coverage and the longevity of the product.

On my maiden voyage, setting sail to find the holy grail of foundation, I found reviews for this foundation. Uses were praising the coverage, how long it lasted and rejoicing in finding a foundation that was buildable AND flawless.

I had to try it.

I took off to the local stockiest who swathed me with different shades until we agreed on the correct shade. I was thrilled.

This is the best foundation I have ever used in my LIFE. The coverage is amazing - a little goes a long way. The best part is that you can touch your face and the foundation doesn't come away. It sticks like gum in your hair. At the end of the day the product is still flawless, albeit a little worse for wear around the nose.

The price is a little bit up there but I fully believe it was worth every cent. I also walked away with a little gift with purchase which included a small mascara which now lives in my car for those touch-up moments. Don't underestimate the usefulness of those little trial products.

It’s taken many many years of trialling foundations. From liquid, to pancake, to powder and everything in between.

From the cheapest of the cheap, to the luxury brand’s. I’ve lost count on how many I’ve used!!!

And then about 3-4 years ago I found this foundation. It does everything it promises and more. It stays put for hours and leaves a beautiful dewy finish. It’s also incredibly versatile. Apply sparingly for a light finish, or build it up for maximum coverage

I've been using Estee Lauder double wear (Fresco) for 8 years now after my Mum introduced me to it. I haven't purchased any other brands of foundation since! The coverage is perfect and hides imperfections and fine lines with ease. It is easy to apply, not sticky and the consistency is light, lasting all day and night without having to reapply. Although pricey it is absolutely worth it, 1 bottle will last me at least 6 months as a little goes a long way. In my opinion it is the best on the market.
