Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

Ok, let's start off I have combo/oily skin. This product is always recommended for my skin type, claiming that it will stay on and look flawless all day. It does stay on all day, but even when applied "flawlessly" when my oils come through it is visible that it becomes patchy, it comes off on my nose it feels super heavy and definitely not natural!! It oxidised on my skin, it looks HORRIBLE IN PHOTOS (flash) it just has this horrific white cast. I tried everything with this foundation.. Different primers, no primer, different setting powders.. NOTHING HELPED. I am so disappointed because I wanted to love this foundation. I much prefer the Revlon Colorstay. It does everything this says it does, but it actually does it.

I had been searching and searching for a full coverage foundation that doesn't dry me out, doesn't make me break out, doesn't shift and gives full coverage and I have finally found it!

It sits well on my skin, although I do have oily skin but a quick dust with powder soon fixes that.

It is full coverage and lasts. You really need to cleanse and scrub your face to remove this baby!

The packaging is gorgeously simple. It makes me feel really classy with its glass bottle and gold lid and writing.

It has been matched perfectly to my skin tone. The assistant at my local Farmers gave me a couple of different samples to try and find the right one as it isn't cheap. I really appreciated the customer service as she also wanted me to find the perfect match.

I don't wear foundation every day but when I do this foundation never fails. With the full coverage I feel beautiful and confident as I have acne scars.

It really is worth the price. (although if Farmers are having a sale on cosmetics it is even better!)

I first got a sample of this from my local pharmacy, hoping I wouldn't fall in love with it but guess what.. I did! The smallest amount of product goes the longest way so I thought it was jusified to spend the money because the bottle would truely last. This was the first high end foundation I had ever used and after using it I find it hard to go back to my drugstore foundations and be satisfied. The coverage is amazing, gives your skin a healthy look although it's so full coverage, which sounds impossible but I was proven wrong by this foundation! It lasts amazing on my oily skin for at least 10 hours. All my products on top blend amazingly like my bronzer and contour. All in all I love love it!

I love this product, I used it as my wedding foundation. You only need a tiny bit, it covers well, the colour is great and it lasts forever. It's matte and kept my super oily skin shine free for the majority of the day.

For a long time now I've stuck to my BB creams for a bit of light coverage through out the day. However with a wedding coming up I wanted so get really slammed up and go for an all day look that would last.

I trailed this product after a consultation at Farmers and a small sample was taken home. Immediately I was hooked and had to get my hands on a bottle of my own. The foundation matched my skin tone beautifully and covers my freckles beautifully. I found in the heat of summer even when I perspired my make up stood the test of time. The consistency of this product is magic, it smoothes and spreads nicely and drys quickly however I can revisit and blend areas I've missed with my fingers easily without the product flaking or rubbing away. Even when I hopped in our pool and got a little splashed my skin still looked amazing afterwards without any smudging or running. This is a must have product for a lasting look of 15hours, I'm very happy with little investment.

I brought this a few months ago and have used it with a brush and a beauty blender. The staying power of this foundation is awesome. I put it on the back on my hand when applying and would get to work some days and find I had forgotten to wash it off my back of my hand. I would literally have to wait until I got home and use makeup remover or wipe to get it off as washing it under the tap never works. I love the feel of this foundation. To me it feels like I am not wearing foundation. I would normally avoid wearing foundation as the feel of it can irritate me all day. This foundation is not the best for people with dry skin. I sometimes get a dry nose and this foundation looks particularly bad on those dry flaky areas. Unfortunately the colour I purchased was a little dark for me so I have given it to my mother and she is loving it. I definitely plan to purchase it again in the near future.

This foundation is a MACHINE. I have never used a foundation before where I have felt comfortable wearing without a power. One layer with a beauty blender gives me full coverage and lasts all day, it's actually almost a pain to take off. I bought it for my wedding but I did notice some oxidising when my face got hot - it would turn slightly orangey. But once my face has cooled down it goes back to normal. I think I may not have been colour matched correctly, so once this bottle has run out I will try a lighter colour.

I did end up using a different foundation for my wedding that suited my colouring a bit better, but I still use this 2-3 times a week when I know I will be hot/sweaty or having a long day.

This is perfect. The best foundation that I've ever tried. I have repurchased this 3 times!!! It's my go to foundation. It works perfectly on me. It's long wearing and doesn't feel cakey. It even gave me a glow. Love this

Was lucky to get given this from a friend who bought from Estée Lauder counter and cosmetic girls recommended the wrong shade but lucky for me, pebble is the perfect shade yay! I love this, has max coverage but doesn't feel heavy unlike others (revlon colorstay), but for everyday makeup I mix with my norm moisturiser and apply instead, gives perfect even looking skin.. Price point for me is the only issue, but hey it is worth it!
