Tips: It's a must to try
I was expecting a bit more from this foundation. The coverage and staying power is good however I have oily skin and I found it to be quite drying on my skin. I'm not sure what I could be doing wrong, I have tried using primer and moisuriser underneath but still no difference. I prefer a dewy look and this is more matte on me, so unfortunately because of this I won't be buying again.
This is my go to foundation! I use it every day and find it lasts so well until about the 15 hour mark, I almost never need to touch it up! If I do, I have the double wear foundation cream compact in my handbag. It's a matte foundation which is perfect for me and while some others have mentioned it can be drying, I find with a good moisturiser and primer it doesn't dry my skin out any worse than any other foundation.
Tips: Get your shade sorted either at Sephora or an Estee Lauder counter, they'll give you samples if you're not 100% sold too!
I have semi oily skin and I work 12+ hour days. I know they say to not use it with powder or primer but I use both and it lasts all day. Some days when I get home my makeup looks basically the same from when I applied it 13 hours prior! The finish is really nice, I'm more of a fan of matte finish and this is one where you don't look too cakey or powdered.
Tips: Don't apply too much powder or you'll look cakey or powdery
This my holy grail foundation! I love the shade range and undertones. I have been able to find match to each skin shade throughout the year. This foundation goes on smoothly and doesn't sink into pores. After 5 minutes the foundation settles into a beautiful semi matte finish. This foundation does not budge throughout the day. I never has makeup rub off on my clothing. I will continue to buy this product until it is discontinued!
Tips: Set with powder
I've used this foundation for about 2 years now. I was hesitant to try it due to the high price, but I got a sample and I fell in love!
Application is very nice. Personally I use a beauty blender because no foundation looks good with a brush for me, but I do know it works well with a brush for some people. It is a thin formula but at the same time it's quite thick - you can definitely feel it on your face when it's dry.
The coverage is AMAZING. It takes away all of my redness, and covers my acne and scarring really well. It seems to mix really well with my skin because as long as I prepare my skin properly, it doesn't emphasize dry patches, even though it is a matte/satin finish. My skin type is combo so finding a foundation that works for oily AND dry skin is important for me. Although if you are someone with more dry patches than me, you might struggle with covering them because of the thickness of the formula.
It lasts so long, I can get a full day of wear out of it and I'm sure it would last longer. It can take a bit of effort to take off since it does dry so thickly, but as long as you have a good makeup remover you will be fine.
Overall I highly recommend this foundation. I would encourage people with very dry flaky skin to get a sample before spending $60+ on it. It's definitely my favourite foundation to wear if I'm going out or if I have an event to go to.
This has been the nicest foundation I have used , easy to apply and looked good all day long , even on a hot day there was no change . There is excellent coverage of my aging skin but it never feels heavy .
It has taken me absolute years to find a foundation that was suited to me, not cakey, not oily, and not to make me look like a ghost (if there was a shade called Casper, I would be it). I went to the local Farmers, had a quick consult, and was given a small pottle to try. I have combination and sensitive skin, this did not irritate my skin in the slightest. I found this to be super long lasting, both throughout the day, and the actual product itself, a little goes a long way. This applied with a mattifying powder is my daily look now, I cannot be without it!! There is no smell I can detect, and I wear scarves every day and there was no rub off. Removal is a breeze, and pores are not left clogged after Sad I did not discover this years ago. Yes it may be pricey, but you actually save money if you get shade matched in store, versus trying random foundations in the hope they will be 'The One'
Tips: Get shade matched by a professional, see how it looks like in natural light, you will never go to anything else again!!
I love this foundation for my combination skin! I've found it's one of the first foundations where I have found a perfect match for my skin tone! Its so easy to use, doesn't show my pores and lasts all day.
I apply it with a flat top brush and I find that it buffs into my skin really nicely. I also find you can wear it lightly for a nice light coverage or put a bit more on for a full coverage look without it being cakey.
The coverage is great and I love the matte finish.
The only negative is the price point but it's definitely worth it!
Tips: Go into the store and get then to match your colour, plus you get a take-home sample.
I tried this on my skin. It's very full coverage and it also breaks out my skin. It really did last long as it says it does but unfortunatly because of my skin type I can never use it again. I have another friend that has it and loves it. It's good for night as it lasts 12 or more hours but for day time it's a no no unless you want a full coverage foundation.
