This foundation is a high end product which is very popular. It has lovely mild foundation scent ,a heavy/thick texture which at first gave a great full coverage look. This foundation is long lasting and I never had a problem with smudging onto my clothing. Although I did find after a week or two of using it my skin started to dry out and the foundation would highlight the dry yucky areas. I really enjoyed it the first couple weeks but haven't used since my skin dried out so badly. :/

I'm not sure if I was matched to the wrong shade at the Estee lauder counter or not, but my experiences with Double Wear haven't been overly fantastic. I found it oxidised quickly on my face and just didn't look right. However it really did stay the distance and I was really impressed with how well it wore throughout the day. The price is also a little high but if it suits your skin, it would make sense in investing in this foundation. I am going to give it another go, and try a lighter shade. If I find I have a different experience next time i'll be sure to update my review!
I had heard rave reviews about this foundation online, i was away and had forgotten my usual foundation so i decided to give it a go.
When the estee lauder lady applied it on my combination skin it looked great - matte and flawless yet thevnext time i applied it myself it looked cakey and stuck to my dry patches in the grossest way!
However i recently discovered i was applying wrong, now that im using a damp beauty blender to apply this to my face my makeup is beautiful and flawless so im going to give it a chance
Tips: If you have dry patches i highly recommend using a damp beauty blender to apply
I'm going against the grain here, but Double Wear didn't work for me. It's very high coverage and I found even though I applied very little, it emphasised my dry patches. It also tended to look a bit cakey on me, especially once I set it with a light layer of powder. It's also very expensive with a lot of hype, so I expected it to look better. I stick with my Colourpop tinted moisturiser nowadays.
I wouldn’t use this as an everyday foundation, just because it’s so expensive and I went through the bottle very quickly! However, I’ve also managed to find far cheaper foundations that offer similar quality
I have very oily skin ,but this foundation even is too dry for my skin , its liquid in the bottle ,but when you pour it out and apply on on skin ,it instantly turns to powder ,and its falky even on my oily skin .its very runny and the bottle does not have a pump with it ,so its hard to use.
I'd be giving this five lippies - if I only I could get the perfect colour match. I'm somewhere between colours 02 and 03 - one is too light, one too dark! Aggh! Anyway, this is definitely a great foundation, buildable, long lasting. But I'd have to say that Revlon Colourstay is a cheaper, but as good product.... Won't be repurchasing - based on price, comparability to Revlon - and not being able to get exactly the right colour! (Life is too short to play around with two colours to get exactly the right shade!)
Tips: Estee Lauder are great with samples. If you would like to try this, pop to a beauty counter and ask for a sample, they'll happily oblige.
It is a really good light foundation with perfect coverage without looking cakey, my skin looked so amazing while using this, it blended into my skin well, the color matched perfectly and it stayed put throughout the whole day. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone only because of the price, there are better alternatives out there for less than half the cost of this one and let's be honest: you're not paying so much money for the foundation, you're paying for the name estee lauder.
It certainly has a full coverage, I'll give it that. I'll also say that if you're at all dry skinned..proceed with caution. It has the tendency to emphasize dry areas and settle into lines..so perhaps use a foundation brush to get a nice even coverage, and don't use too close to the eye area. The lasting power is great, it does last without changing on the skin (I'm a dry combination skin type). I do prefer it's new little sister, Doublewear light foundation though, as this has a bit more of a glow to it while still delivering lasting power.
Tips: A little goes a long way, and work quickly with this as once it's set, well, it's definitely set! Remove with an oil based cleanser, foaming cleanser in the shower won't budge this once!
I went to multiple counters to be matched and was matched a different colour at every one, but none of these matches seemed to suit my skin. I enjoy this for a little while however after an hour or so my skin feels extremely dry even with the use of a primer and this foundation does not cover my redness at all, I also found it oxidised (went orange throughout the day). Personally not my favourite covering redness is a biggie for me and the only reason I wear foundation so for this reason I personally wouldn't use again, also not a huge fan of the shades available I found all are extremely pink or yellow based so for my olive skintone this doesn't quite match.
