Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

I can not rave about this foundation enough! i wear the shade 1N1 and it is a perfect match! i have a lot of redness in my skin and this works amazingly to cover it up! This foundation will not budge throughout the day it is amazing for its longevity, and even on the odd occasion where i fall asleep with my makeup on my base still looks flawless the next morning! i like to apply this with a beauty blender as i find it gives the best finish, i find that i don't even need a setting powder with this foundation! This foundation is supposed to be amazing for oily skinned girls but i have normal to dry skin and i would recommend it to anyone!

My mother loved this foundation and had always said how amazing it was. So i decided that i would try it for myself. I fell in love instantly, I use it everyday now. I have 14 hour day before i even get home, it lasts for most the day without a setting day. I have quite a lot of freckles which i personally like to cover up and it does it so well. It gives me a flawless looking face with minimal effort. It does tend to sink into my pores though and can become a bit patchy after 9 hours or so. But that is just my personal skin type as I get dry patches on my cheeks and under my nose. But overall i love this product, is so worth the money.

I purchased this foundation after hearing great things from youtubers. It was my first high end foundation that I purchased in new zealand rather than purchasing it from the internet. Okay when I purchased it cost me $80!!!!!!! To me $80 is not child change, so I was little sad when I had to part with that type of money for a foundation. But I wanted to try it out. I asked the ladies at the make up station if they could colour match me before I purchased it and let me walk around the mall for a little while to see how it looked. I was happy to say it looked great, so I went back to purchase it.

Once at home I didn't want to open it, just didnt want to ruin it as it looked amazing but also costed a huge amount. So I didn't use it for like 2 weeks, then putting on my big girl undies I decided to try it out again. The packaging is good. The bottle is glass with a gold plastic lid. However i wish it came with a pump, but I made do trying not to spill any wasted product around. The foundation was easy to blend out and apply. I used a flat top brush to apply it went on fine.

The foundation was a great colour match, it definitely is a full coverage foundation which is what I like. It covered like a dark spots and redness. The foundtion looks flawless when applied to the skin and blended out.

It lasted for about 5-6 hours without touching up on my skin. However, this foundation is not great in photo's at night or with a flash. It gives you that ghost looking face which nobody wants EVER. So this foundation is more day wear foundation. It is has some SPF in it, so that is most likely why it doesn't photo well.

Now that the price has reduced in New Zealand I will more likely repurchase this foundation when I run out.

Overall I am happy with the purchase and regret nothing, however maybe my bank did when I purchased it.

I got a sample of double wear a while ago and have found the little bottle has given me heaps of uses, which is great! The colour I was matched to matches my skin tone perfectly and although the foundation is a little thinner than what I'm used to it provides great coverage and I can easily get away without concealer when I'm wearing this. I've tested this out over 8 hours of rain, wind, sweat and tears on the tongariro crossing and an 8 hour sailing trip- to emerge looking just as flawless. So I can say its staying power is great. Despite the comments that it is really hard to take off, I didn't seem to have any trouble with my usual Cetaphil cleanser and Lush Toner. As it is quite pricey I think this will be more of a special occasion foundation rather than an everyday one. I really like it and can def see me buying a bottle when I run out for such occasions

Full coverage and long lasting and beautiful finish.I am very impressed. This is one of my favourite foundations. I would recommend this

This foundation is amazing! I dont usually go for high coverage on a daily basis but i love wearing this foundation when im going out to town. The coverage makes my skin look flawless and it last on my skin all night and doesnt slip off at all. The price is a bit steep but as good as this foundation is its worth every cent

My new go to foundation, I have finally said goodbye to Revlon Colourstay which I have worn for around 10+ years. I now feel like I'm a grownup and its boosted my confidence to no end. It's so beautiful to work with and great coverage! The Estée lady that I was dealing with gave me five sample colours to take home and try so I could get the correct colour. I seen her over three weeks and she was the peak of customer service which is the second reason why this brand is my new favourite X

This foundation will last on your skin all day long and still look absolutely flawless! It can look quite cakey so it may be best to use a hydrating primer underneath if you do have dry skin! other than that it works great for my oily skin and stays flawless all day long! doesnt get oily at all and all products that you put on top stay pigmented all day long too!

This foundation is about as good as it gets for a really full coverage, long wearing and huge colour range! The only issue I have is that it can look a bit cakey and heavy, I've found this can be avoided by using a good hydrating primer and slowly building it up. It's my go to night foundation which I know will stay in place!

This brilliant but ecpensiv foundation is a good highly recommended foundation if ur looking for that coverage airbrush look.it not only feels but looks great when wwaeinv this foundation as it stays on all day long and also protects ur face fromnthe sun at the same time .be carefull not to over apply this product as if u dont blend iy in proply it will show on ur face az iv had many many experience witj many diifernt foundations as a makeup consultant but found the best goundation and makeup will always come with the high end brand name and price but ull always end up with a satisfying outcome
