I first got into Korean makeup and skincare around 3 years ago and this was one of the first products I ever purchased. I have since used up a whole tube and am half way through a second.
Packaging: The plastic tube is nice and sturdy with some flexibility to it, allowing product to easily be squeezed out. The cap screws on tightly which I appreciate and the little nozzle lets out a small stream of primer. My one gripe with this is that the product seems to squirt out far too easily, you're best to keep the tube stored upside down so that it doesn't drizzle out when you open the lid. I personally think a pump would be the most suitable type of packaging for this product, simply because it's too thin in consistency for the squeeze tube.
Product: For me the product absolutely makes up for the few issues I have with the packaging. The primer is a consistency not unlike that of thin custard, it's also a pale yellow in colour. It's not sticky but does have some tack to it, I've found that the best way to apply is by gently smoothing it over areas and then patting it in. If you try to rub this primer in it becomes thicker and leaves a sort of film on the skin, so pat don't rub and then let it fully sink in before applying your foundation. I like the texture of this much more than other primers of this type. I know people compare this to the Benefit Porefessional but I think they're nothing alike. I hated the Porefessional, it was greasy feeling due to too much silicone and it didn't control my oil at all. This on the other hand just feels like a thicker lotion and doesn't have near as much silicone in it as the Porefessional does. It has a sort of lotion type scent to it, it's not unpleasant and you can't smell it once applied.
Performance: I love this for my oily skin, it softens the look of dilated pores around my t-zone and it definitely helps smooth out slight textural issues. As for oil control this does really well, I would say it definitely prolongs my foundation wear by a good couple of hours which is huge for me because usually nothing can last more than a few hours on my oil slick skin. I pair it with my favourite foundations/BB creams and don't have an issue with incompatibility or the product breaking up. It makes my foundation adhere better, last longer and I can also use this with powder foundations which is a huge bonus! It works just as well as it does with liquid and it means I don't need a separate primer.
Overall: If you have oily skin or even combination skin, then I highly suggest you try this out. It's a beautiful product and the price is too good to not give it a go. I will probably continue to replace this over the years as I'm really happy with how it performs and how it wears with my current foundations.
The etude house porever primer is my favourite! It comes in a cutely packaged tube with a thin nozzle at the end which means you don't use too much product. I have a few different primers and I use this one daily. It's great for covering pores and filling in fine lines, and I find my foundation glides on smoothly when using this primer. A small amount goes a long way so make sure not to use too much at once, as this can make your face feel greasy. The priner is of a clear consistency and dries really quickly on your face. My makeup lasts throughout the day using this primer, especially my foundation! This is so affordable and lasts a reasonably long time. I would reccomend this to anyone wanting a primer that is similar to benefits porefessional but at a fraction of the cost.
Tips: Use a small amount at first and then use more if needed so that you don't end up over applying.
