I've always been a Maybelline gal for Mascara but was a lil skeptical going in to this trial about it definitely curling my lashes. BUT WOW! I love the curl it gives to them and definitely means I won't need a lash curler so less time to get ready :)
I love that its still waterproof & clump free. It stayed on all day with no probs even in the crazy weather we had last few days.
I think this will be the go to in my makeup bag over the others now.
Tips: I find that like my other waterproof mascara this comes off easily when I use Micellar water over just a wet face cloth ;)
This Mascara comes in a wide bottle which is nice and easy to hold. At first glance the wand is a little strange and I wasn't sure how to use it. But it actually works quite well. The formula is nice and thick and glides on nicely and drys almost instantly so you don't get accidental spots on your eyelids. I found it left the lashes looking dark and not clumpy with just one coat. However I did not notice any curling affect. Maybe this was my application technique? It stayed in place without any panda eyes and removed easily with Micellar water on a cotton pad. I would recommend this product but if your looking for curly lashes your may wish to continue with the eye lashes curlers.
This mascara comes is called ‘Curl Bounce’ which is a little confusing - it’s not clear what effect that would have on your lashes.
It comes in a white tube which looks a bit like a tampon. The brush is curved so if you hold t correctly, it follows the curve of your upper lashes and encourages separation and even distribution of the mascara.
The formulation is lovely and smooth in its application, and one application was enough to see separated lashes without clumps.
The only annoying thing about using this mascara was having to adjust how I held the applicator to make use of the curved brush - just a tiny bit more effort than than a non-curved brush which you can use on any side/angle. I was also not sure how best to use the curved wand on bottom lashes, but they looked fine
The tube closes with a satisfying click. The mascara still looked very good at the end of the day. Would recommend.
I love trying new mascara so was excited to be on this trial. One thing I always make sure is that my mascara is waterproof as I get watery eyes sometimes and there is nothing worse than looking like a panda! This however is not waterproof but says up to 24 hour wear so I was definitely going to put it to the test for staying power.
The tube it comes in is super chunky, it's definitely not my favourite. The wand is a good size with one side slightly curved and sturdy bristles. I did one coat and holy moly my lashes were huge! It lengthened and curled brilliantly I was quite blown away by how they looked. It is a lovely deep black too which I like.
For me I only need one coat as when I tried going in for a second coat they just looked clumpy and some lashes were stuck together badly....it was quite a mess. The formula is more on the dry side and I feel like you need to work quickly as it dries quite fast.
I got no flakiness or transfer at all during the day.....I definitely did not look like a panda, they pretty much looked exactly the same when I went to remove it 10 hours later. I used micellar water and it came off easily.
I feel like this is a brilliant mascara and it definitely does what it says. It makes my eyelashes really stand out which I love. It is great for both day and night and would look amazing with full eye makeup. If you are looking for a new mascara that gives you beautiful lashes then I highly recommend buying this!
Tips: Less is more with this.....one coat was more than enough for me:-)
I'm always up to find my next favourite mascara, and so was happy to trial this product (thank you BR!).
First of all, I like the packaging - it stands out from any other packaging I own and was very easy for me to spot amongst the clutter. I did find the packaging a little lightweight though - which meant it took me a little to get used to holding/controlling the wand.
The mascara itself did a fantastic job of lifting and separating my lashes. Usually I find most mascaras make my lashes look chunky on second mascara application, but this one did a wonderful job of enhancing thickness without clumpiness.
The lift lasted all day, which was brilliant.
The only reason I'm dropping it down in 'kissage' is that I did find it flaked during each of the days that I wore it, which wasn't ideal. No panda eyes though, and it washed off well.
I'd definitely consider repurchasing in the future if my usual favourite wasn't available/discontinued.
I have used this for a few days now and have really been enjoying it!
First impression - the packaging is not my favourite, it looks bulky and a bit cumbersome. However, the lid had that satisfying ‘click’ when you close it, and I also really like the shape of the wand! It is gently curved which makes getting into the root of your lashes nice and easy.
The product itself is nice, no strong smell, no irritation.
I love the way it didn’t clump my lashes together - I don’t know if it’s the formula or wand or a combination of the two but bit left my lashes really defined.
I wore this with no other make up and as such, rubbed my eyes as I forgot I had anything on, and was pleasantly surprised when I had no fallout or smudging!
Tips: Don’t fall asleep wearing mascara - but if you do (like I maaay have done…) you needn’t worry because this stayed stuck to my lashes and not my under eye area! Score.
At first glance, the packaging makes this mascara look like a little bluetooth speaker, however the indented panelling makes it very easy to hold. I am OBSESED with the wand. The arched brush of the wand makes it very easy to cleanly and precisely apply mascara to both top and bottom lashes, and helps easily build up length. The wand is also quite thin so its super easy to get to the outer edge lashes. The bristles have an interesting spiral alignment, which keeps the lashes separated despite how many coats you apply. In terms of lash length and intensity, I was fairly impressed. Personally I prefer more natural looking lashes for everyday wear, so this product was perfect for that. It kept the lashes separated, added length and didn't pack on with product so the overall look was very natural. It doesn't dry instantly either so you can build up more volume and length fairly easily. Wearability was quite good, however there was a small amount of product buildup under my lower lashes after a couple of hours. The lashes retained their length for several hours though which was great and stood up to a lot laughing tears. Overall, I really loved this product, and will be adding this to my every day routine.
Tips: Use the curved wand brush to your advantage to build up length to add shape you your lashes.
Wow, I was really impressed by this mascara. I have very straight eyelashes that don’t hold a curl at all but this one gave me great volume and curl as well!
The packaging is nice and sturdy and I think that the lid has a ‘click’ to secure it when you screw it on. I find that having them click closed stops them drying up.
The formula seems to be a good consistency, quite light weight and I didn’t notice any clumping as I did a couple of coats.
I work in an office job so not too strenuous but I haven’t noticed any flaking or smudging with this mascara - I do wear quite heavy eyeliner/eyeshadow which does mask it so somebody else will hopefully comment on flakes or smudging. I have one eye that waters a little and it still seemed to stay on fine.
My only complaint is I wish it was a little more lengthening but it does give some (lengthening isn't a claim I saw on this mascara so I can’t hold it against it - the curling and volume part is so good that i can handle the length)
Tips: As with most mascaras I find a couple of coats good, switching between eyes to give the first coat a few seconds to dry. I also find most mascaras aren’t great the first time I use them (feels like maybe I don’t get enough product) - this was the same but by the second use I was happy with the results.
I was lucky enough to be selected to trial this. So far I've found it to be pretty good - The colour is a nice dark black, it removes easily without too much rubbing which I like and it's quite buildable for those of us who like to apply more than one coat. The wand has been pretty good at picking up all my lashes, even the ones in my outer corner that usually give me a bit of trouble. The one thing I don't like about it, and it wasn't until I got it out of the packaging and put it on my vanity, is that it looks like a tampon. It's a really silly thing to be put off but I just don't like that aspect of this product. I have suffered no eye irritation or product flaking off my lashes with this which is another point in its favour. I would purchase again depending on what price I could get it for.
The mascara has a thinner texture which I like because it means the brush doesn’t apply too much product at once, allowing me to have a natural look which I prefer, but it does layer well too. I liked the brush, it is a good shape and was easy to apply even to the lashes in the inner corner and lower lashes. I found it dries fairly quickly which helps hold the curl, especially for my lashes, which don't like staying curled. It lasted over 12 hours, without flaking. Just a little transfer on lower lashline but it was almost unnoticeable. The mascara also reapplies well, I did this in the evening without any clumping or going on too thickly. It came off very easily with micellar water. Overall, I would definitely recommend this mascara, I really like the versatility and lasting power and it is a decent price.
