Reviews
I have four of these palettes - Bad Girl, Vintage Romance, Garden of Eden and Supreme - and overall they're ok. On one hand Vintage Romance is fantastic all round with the majority of shades being pigmented and blend-able, but then you have Supreme which is an all round fail with dry, chalky un-pigmented shades. The matte black palette builds are great for the price and I love the huge mirror that takes up the whole lid :) but the pans themselves were smaller than I thought at 21mm. Overall I would recommend googling reviews/swatches first before deciding which one to buy as there are some duds in the range.
I currently only have one of these palettes (Vintage Romance), but I can't wait to purchase more. The packaging is very nice and it comes with a large mirror. It also comes with a double ended sponge applicator, but I wouldn't suggest using this. Invest in some proper eyeshadow brushes instead.
There are 12 colours in each palette, so it is easy to get a range of looks for both day and night. My favourite colours are the metallic ones, which are very pigmented. So far I've found that they last all day/night.
There can be quite a bit of fallout on some of the eyeshadow types, particularly the glitter ones. I usually use a shadow shield or something similar to protect my foundation.
Overall, these are great eyeshadow palettes and I would definitely recommend them to a friend. They are a good price and I'd say they are perfect for beginners.
The sleek eyeshadow palettes are great! I own three of them and I love them all! The shadows are packaged in a black matte case. Very simple and classy! There are 12 shadows in the palette and contain a mixture of mattes and shimmery colours. They eyeshadows themselves are very pigmented and long lasting which is great! Sometimes there can be a bit of fallout but nothing too major! They are also very bendable and buildable :) Great value for the price!
The downside for me are the sponge applicators! I hate them with a passion! This also comes with a big mirror which is so helpful!
Tips: Wear an eyeshadow primer underneath for super long lasting power!
I've been interested in Sleek's iDivine Eyeshadow Palettes for some times so when I saw the limited edition Arabian Nights palette I had to have it.
The palette is packaged in a very streamline matte black with magnetic closure and large mirror. It is very 'sleek' in appearance but on the downside it does show every single mark.
The palette contains 12 round shadows in a mixture of metallic satins, shimmers and a couple of matte shadows. I'm not normally a big user of vibrant eye makeup so the jewel-tones in Arabian Nights work for me perfectly. Each shadow is very pigmented and delivers high-impact colour that lasts all day without having to pack on the product. I did find the matte shadows slightly harder to blend than the satins.
The formulas are quite powdery and there's a fair bit of fallout from the shadows, especially the glitters and glitter does end up everywhere across the palette. In terms of wear they didn't crease on me, but it's not a palette I would recommend for those with mature skin or those who dislike glitter as the shadows are very shimmery.
I really like my palette and they are very good value. I've been eyeing up other i-Divine palettes and recommend them to anyone after an affordable palette with a variety of colours.
I own Storm and Arabian Nights limited edition palettes.
I absolutely adore these eyeshows! The packaging is your classic sleek, matte black packaging. I find it really stylish and sturdy, you don't need to worry about the shadows shattering because it's so strong.
I'm not going to go through all the individual colours because that will take forever but the colours are really beautiful and pigmented and I find the shadows last the entire day. You don't need to worry about touching up throughout the day. I only wish there were more matte shades in each palette. In the two I have, there are only one or two matte shades so if you don't like shimmers sleek eyeshadow may not be for you.
I will definitely be repurchasing more sleek shadows in the future, they're my all time favourite and always reach for them. I also love how the box they came in have tips on how to use them and how to create a look if you are new to eyeshadow and don't know how to apply. The price is worth it especially for the such high quality, I wouldn't even count these as low-end I find the quality so good. Definitely recommend these!!
I own Sleek's Idivine in Vintage Romance and I absolutely adore the shades! Sleek's Idivine range has a tonne of palette colour schemes to choose from - from natural, toned down shades (Au Naturel Palette) to intense, bright shades (Acid Palette). I chose the Vintage Romance Palette typically because it consists of such classy, elegant shades from burgundy, navy and golds.
Just like everyone EVER says about Sleek Makeup: the pigmentation is insane! Easily blendable shadows that look swatched the same as in the palette (which is always a winner). Love this palette and can't wait to build up a collection.
I first tried this in matte v2... I think the matte colours are more pigmented than the glittery palettes. The colours in each palette compliment each other well and the product is very cost efficient. They glide on well and applies smoothly to the lids. The eyeshadows come in a cute flip case with a double ended applicator, which I find to be quite weak. Only downside for me is the applicator and the fact that they only have two different matte palettes.
Hate it! I find these to be very chalky, NOT pigmented and cheaply made eye shadows. I had such high hopes as it seems like everyone loves Sleek products but I just do not.
I do not like the formula - it does not feel luxurious and applies poorly. In fairness the eye shadow palettes are very affordable so they are worth purchasing to see if you are a fan or not. The only colour I found very pigmented was the black shade I think it is called Noir. This shade is very VERY black and has amazing staying power.
I also hate the casing as it is matte black and looks super dirty as you can see your finger prints all over it.
Prior to purchasing the iDivine Palette range I had only used Urban Decay and Mac eye shadows so my review may come across a little harsh as the quality is nothing like these. I never ever reach for my Sleek Palettes.
Tips: The colors look beautiful, different and amazing in the palette but once applied a lot of them look the same.
I love a lot of sleeks products but I only use them for myself, I would never put one in my kit. The pigments are amazing, the colours are beautiful, the texture is creamy. However the fallout is a pain and the blending can be frustrating. I always have to do my eyes first when using any sleek palette otherwise it falls out all over my base which is fine for me but if you're someone in a rush it might be a bit of a pain.
For the price it's worth it, I have used high end products that have costed me x10 more and ended up being worse then the sleek eye shadows. Defiantly worth the price.
Tips: Always use/do your eyes with sleek before you do your foundation otherwise you'll have terrible dropout all over your face.
