Maybelline Great Lash Mascara Review

I was drawn to this mascara because it was cheap and being a mother of two I have to try and keep my purchases minimal.

I'd heard great things about this mascara so I thought it was going to be amazing. But boy was I let down.

When I pulled the brush from the tube it looked very rough and like it was going to do some damage.

The colour was definitely black, but when I started applying it to my eyelashes literally nothing happens, no change, no nothing. After a few applications I finally got something going but it was not enough for me personally.

A few minutes later once I started to get into my day, my eyes started to have a burning feel and started weeping really badly. My eyes were blood shot for a few days after this. It's the first time I have ever reacted to anything in my entire life.

I love Maybelline, but I most definitely will NOT be purchasing this mascara again.

So I have not tried the original black one before, but I really wanted a blue mascara and this was the only one I could find. It was also very cheap online. I have no idea if the black one is better than this, but this mascara was meh. I didn't exactly expect a ton of volume or length or anything like that, I just wanted the colour. But I did, of course, have hopes for the formula of the mascara.

The colour payoff is fine, but the formula is very thin and it sticks to the mascara wand weirdly so that it can be kind of difficult to apply. It also smudges everywhere, especially if applied on the lower lashline. It flakes quite a bit throughout the day and it comes off extremely easily, but I'm not sure whether you'd call that a pro or a con. Overall it's okay, but I kind of wish I could've gotten better.

When I started using make up this was my first one I used. The brush is small and it doesn't give you much volume. But if your looking for a subtle look this is a good one to use. Or you have small eyelashes. It seemed to become clumpy quicker than the other Maybelline mascaras I've used. It did the job but I wouldn't buy it again.

I love maybellines mascara "one by one" so I thought id give this a try. For me personally, I'm not a big fan of the brush, it's very small with small brissles which I just can't work with my eyes, they don't seperate/ volumise enough but I do use the product with a different brush and it's great, the product really does seperate lashes leaving no clumps just like it says, has great staying power but is definitley not smudge proof! Easy to wash off when the day is done :) I quite like the colour of this packaging, it's easy for me to find in the draw :) I think it's a average mascara for it's price but there is better out there.

I really like the brush and how easy it is to put on. It doesn't go clumpy when I put it on and it lasts really well. Good affordable mascara. Not the best I have found and I wouldn't rush back to buy another but still a good mascara.

I love this product alot! It is such a basic mascara and looks like nothing special but my gosh does it make your eyelashes look great or what?? it is non clumping, very easy to use, as the brush is little and has great fine bristles. I love how you can build it up easily to make your lashes look thicker and longer, it dries very fast, which is also what makes it great to apply more coats. the only downside is that it takes a long time to actually apply it to the desired length and thickness, depending on what look you are going for obviously. but for the ones who love their lashes real thick and long, it takes a long time to apply to desired look but can be easily done still. another downside is that it dries up quite quickly in the bottle, lasted me about 2 and a half months, but still pretty good considering mascara is only meant to last 3 months before expiring anyway. I would recommend this product to anyone, especially if you have fine short lashes. overall this product made me very happy :)

This mascara isn't too bad but I definitely would not purchase this again. Myother mascaras I have had in the past were much better. A good thing about this for me is that it has a small brush which is great for people with short eyelashes (like me). It doesn't have much volume in my experience, but everyone has different opinions.

a lot of my friends have used this mascara so i decided to give it a try although i wasn't disappointed with the results there are better drug store mascaras out there. the mascara was not at all clumpy but it didn't give the length that i would have wanted in a mascara

I tried this Mascara a while ago after seeing it in many of my friends makeup bags. And also seeing it be a product that they repurchased.

I found it did the Job and was easy to use but it wasn't something I ran off to repurchase.

The applicator was nice, and I didn't get any clumping using this mascara. Though I also didn't get bold length or anything that I personally desire from a mascara.

I enjoy the pink and green colour of the tube, and also the fact that it was reasonably priced. And found it lasted well and was also not too difficult to remove at the end of the day.

Even though i wasn't too chuffed with it, If i was in need of a mascara and this one was easiest to get I wouldn't complain because it does a good job

This Mascara isn't the best Mascara, but it works just fine. The mascara does make my eyelashes more longer and it doesn't leave clumps on them which is good. And these Mascaras don't cost too much as other ones. This is great for people who are first buyers and want to buy a mascara thats good, but not too dare. The colour of the containter I love, and I like how you can peel off the logo which is a sticker, and your just left with a green and pink mascara! I think this is quite an average mascara but for a good price.
