Maybelline Eye Studio Colour Tattoo Review

This is my new Holy Grail product, i absolutely love them! So far i have Painted Purple, Silver Strike and Bold Gold and want more! I use the silver one the most as it goes with everything! i wear a eye shadow primer underneath if im just wearing it by it self but if you wanted you could also wear them as a base to get more colour , they have multiple uses. i use my finger tip to apply and it goes on smoothly! There are so many colors to choose from , i recommend this product to everyone!!

I've got two of these eyeshadows: Bad to the Bronze (my favourite!) and Barely Branded. Bad to the Bronze is a stunning shimmery bronze (leaning more to a taupe undertone than a red undertone) that I think would look amazing on anyone. I often wear it by itself, sheered out over my lid and concentrated a tiny bit more in the crease, and it looks absolutely beautiful and like I've spent hours doing my makeup when in reality it took me less than a couple of minutes. I thought Barely Branded would be perfect for an everyday natural wash of colour, but I find it a bit too frosty for that unless I really sheer it out. However, it makes a nice base/primer for other eyeshadows, and I don't regret buying it. None of the other colours we can get here in New Zealand appeal particularly to me: they're all a bit too bright/random for me to really get any use out of, but if Maybelline ever brings out any neutral shades of this (a matte brown would be so nice!) here I'll definitely pick them up.

They do last on my ever-so-slightly oily eyelids for a good 8-ish hours at least, although they sometimes crease a little after that, so they don't quite live up to the 24 hour claim, but I still think they have amazing lasting power. And, best of all, they're not that expensive!! I got both of mine for under $20 at Farmers, so that's great!! :) Overall: definitely love them, and they're a staple in my makeup bag now!

Love love love this eye colour!!! I got the taupe shade and it's gorgeous ( I am keen on neutrals tho!!) In the name of cosmetic testing I put this to the true 24 hour test.... And it passed with flying colours!! I don't know when I would require my eyeshadow to last for 24hrs, but in the event I did, I would be reaching for this. Can't wait to get a hold of some of the other shades!

This product is a cream gel that smoothes on with you fingertip. The color does not fade over the day. I wore it on a number of occasions, even while gardening all day and it stayed onwell. Being older I don't usually wear shiny eyecolour but this looked nice.

I love these! They work great as a base for your eyeshadow! Or on their own they make an easy but nice eye look!

These guys are fantastic as a base for eye shadow or to use on there own can be applied with fingers or a brush. Look beautiful and nicely pigmented

These are amazing little pots of colour, used alone applied with my finger and smudged out is an easy pop of pigmented colour. Or used as an eyeshadow base for super long wearing colour, with zero creasing! Apply with a synthetic brush and blend out the edges for a professional finish. Once I bought one I had to get more, great range of colours that would last fooorever. A must have for every makeup lover

My favourite thing about this eye colour is that it is actually long wearing and I'd have to say it's probably the longest wearing eye colour I've ever used. I'm not entirely sure it stays put as long as promised but it's for sure better wearing than most.

I tried a couple of different application methods, and just like using a powder eyeshadow, I found the colour lasted longer when I applied a base and a couple of layers. The days I used the eye colour only, I noticed it wore off a lot quicker.

Overall, I highly recommend this product and I plan to buy a few other colours to add to my collection. A must-use!

I got this product in Bad to the Bronze after hearing great things about it - and I have not been let down! Not only does this product stay all day - but it is highly pigmented and gorgeous! I also like to use it as a base and then apply eyeshadow over top!

Wow! I was given the gold eye shadow. This eye shadow is amazing, I never wore it for 24 hours so I can't comment on how long it lasts. But Ive woren it during the day and many people complimented me how the gold suited my skin tone. The pigment of the eye shadow is great. It is easy to apply to the lids of my eyes. The eye shadow has a glitter in it, which gives your eyes a pop of colour. The best way to apply this eye shadow is to apply it with a thin make up brush, and lightly cause then you can build it up to how you like it. The eye shadow has a creamy texture when first applied then it dries out and sticks to your skin. I would love to try other colours with a matte finish. The eye shadow doesn't move (smudge). I Recommend this product to anyone who is willing to give it a try.
