this is a bluey- greyish colour. I had never used a colour tattoo before and in all honesty i didn't find it that great. I found that this colour did not apply smoothly and it started creating patches in different place. I'm not sure if this was just my colour or if they all do this but i was definietly not impressed. I was kind of dissapointed because i hear such great things. The colour however is really nice and would work well with fairer skin tones.

I have heard so many good things about these, that I decided to try them when the bucket sale came into town - and I'm really glad I did. I currently have a nudeish colour - which I find makes a fantastic base, and a sea-green. The pigmentation is fantastic - a little goes a very long way with these! It has a cream consistency - which makes them very easy to blend and spread. I have a feeling these eyeshadows will last me a very long time! I am super impressed with the ones I have so far, and will be definitely adding more to my collection.
Tips: Definitely a product for the fingers rather than a brush.
I've heard so many great things about these Maybelline Color Tattoo's. I had actually been searching for the shade Bad To The Bronze. Instead I stumbled across the shade 260 Matte Brown. I knew I had to have this as I am in love with anything with a matte finish right now.
The packaging is basically identical to a gel liner pot with a screw on lid, except a tad bit wider at the bottom. It has a screw on lid as per usual. The eyeshadow is of a creamy consistancy which is smooth and easy to apply. The matte finish is just gorgeous and this brown looks stunning with blue eyes! It does last for 24 hours as this product states and its just such a good eye shadow. A little bit goes extremely a long way. I've used this heaps and I still haven't made a dent in the pot. The only thing I dislike is that this can transfer to the upper part of the eyelid during the day, but it depends how you apply it.
Over all, these are great! I will be purchasing some other shades shortly.
I have one of these tattoos in the color nude compliment. It is a metallic grey/Brown colour. I used to have another 3 colors but I never really used them so I on sold them. This colour though, is a very much loved part of my makeup collection.
I love the packaging on these, it's a round, clear glass container with a black lid. If you turn the jar upside down, you can see the colour through The glass. It would be cool if the lid was the same colour as The product to make it easier to find the colour you are looking for though, when I had four of them, i would usually have to check them all before getting the shade that I wanted.
my favorite way of using this product is as an eyeshadow base. I have used these by themselves before and while I find them easy to blend and apply, they crease really easily on me which put meoff using them in that way. I like to apply this with my finger, i have tried a flat brush and a blending brush and it came off patchy and just way more hassle. I use my index finger to apply two thin coats and I use my middle finger to buff out the edge so it's blended out into my crease. I like to do two coats, just to get an even layer although I don't find this colour patchy at all and it swatches beautifully. I then like to let it set for a few minutes before applying shadow. I go over it with a skin toned matte shadow and then continue on with whatever eyeshadow look I'm going for. I find using this colour as a base, gives a nice bright effect to any kind of light shadow that I do. If I go really dark, it doesn't make a huge difference except in lasting power. I do find that this helps my colour to stay and not crease. It's not as good as ud primer potion but heaps better then other bases that I've tried.
This product will last for so long too. The container looks deceptively small but I've been using this for months and while I have a big dip, I'm yet to hit the bottom of the pot. I don't plan on buying any of the colored pots but I definitely would buy this colour again and I'd love to try out taupe and bronze shades too.
Tips: Use your fingers and work in thin layers. If you want to only wear the tattoos, try setting it with a similar colour eyeshadow to prevent creasing.
I purchased two of these because I'm such an eyeshadow addict, I decided I needed them and I got Iced in Pink (which is a light, pretty pink) and Barely Branded (a light gold/bronze shade) and I always get compliments when I wear these two shades - or even, combine them with pink on the outer corners of the lid and the gold on the inner half of the lid, blended. Amazing.
As for creasing, I've had this crease but not when I've put a primer on first, which is kinda weird for something that should last 24 hours. I've managed 18 hours of wear before this has started to fade.
Application - I just use my fingers or a Real Techniques Shading brush over a primer (just to make sure I get no creases)
1 eye shadow im in love with as a product. My sister gave me my first one and loved the colour and the staying power of it as well so have recently brought some more and can't wait to play with them. Another product where you could build up or have lightly on as well.
The bucket sale came to town, and out the back door went my no spend. This is one of the items that has been on my wishlist for a long time and when I saw it at such a cheap price I couldn't go past it. I picked it up in Pomegranate Punk which is a really nice dark reddened pink that I thought would by nice for some more sort of grungey looks (but as I'll explain it is actually still quite natural).
The packaging is remarkably similar to my Chanel cream eyeshadow. A glass bottom and a black plastic lid. Nice simple packaging that does the job. I love that the lid is flat so you can store it upside down and still see the shade when you are storing it. Also the top of the glass part has a nice wide opening so it is easy to get the product out with a finger.
The product itself isn't as pigmented as I expected. If it was a high-end product I would be super disapointed. But at the same time that is actually quite a nice thing with this shade. If I use it quite sheerly across the lid it is just a slight wash of a pinky shade, it blends like a dream. But then it is quite buildable so in the outer corners I was able to build up the colour quite nicely. The colour on my eyes comes out as a sort of dark brown with a touch of purpley/red almost. Much different than what I expected from the name. With application of cream shadows I always prefer to use my finger for them rather than a brush, just as your finger warms the product up so it blends nicely. It isn't as creamy as a high end version but it still does the job.
With the wear time I would advise not using these by themselves. It is much better to use with a primer underneath and a powder eyeshadow on top. By itself it does crease on me by the end of the day. With a primer and eyeshadow they do last a full day on me.
I am really impressed with these for the price. I would definitely recommend these to a friend starting out with makeup as they are so easy to use.
I have 4 of these and enjoy them a lot. They are great as a base and even by themselves. They have a great texture and highly pigments. The colours come off better if you use a finger rather than a brush. They don't crease if I use them by themselves and they last all day. They can be quite hard to come off but with a good make up remover they can be removed.
I bought this product from Farmers a few months ago as I thought the colour (Barely Branded) was gorgeous, and the consistency was great. I usually use this as an eyeshadow base, but some days I just use it by itself, and either way it looks great. It stays on my eyes all day without creasing. I love this product and it is very affordable - it was around 15.99 from farmers as far as I can remember.
I really like the maybelline colour tattoo eye shadow. It comes in a cute little pot with a screw on lid. The product itself it very buttery, pigmented and shimmery. These eye shadows work really well as a base. I usually apply this product using my finger as I find it works best this way. A little bit of product also goes a long way and the eye shadow lasts a long time.
