I foolishly swayed from my usual and brought this. I was tempted by sale prices. And thank goodness I didn’t pay full price for this. The only saving grace is I can mix this with sunscreen to make application better.. which still wastes time and money. But it’s that bad. But I hate wasting things even more.
I thought this sounded nice and beneficial and I love other bb creams by the brand.. this looks like others in terms of consistency. But the problem is the formula and application.
It was thick and gluggy. Upon application it actually had a caked appearances and made my skin look cakey, patchy and uneven. It also just rubbed off so it just sat like a thick mess on top of the skin rather than a light coverage. I really don’t know if it was a bad batch or if that’s just how it comes.
I will definitely be sticking with the original.
I have had bad experiences with all the BB creams from this brand unfortunately with the exception of one of the older ones for oily skin which was pretty good but still too dark. Basically coverage is crap but then again BB creams are not meant to be full cover. They turn orangey too and don't seem to look nice on the skin. What I would use these for is sunscreen & moisturizer that's about it. What is particularly good with this BB is the green tea and vitamin e. Green tea is invigorating and an anti oxidant Which can help awaken the skin and prevent free radical damage. Vitamin E is popular for an anti aging skin product but it isn't ideal for wearing under makeup it needs time to fully absorb & will probably look unfavourable if you put other products such as make up on top this is why I suggest you be prepared to use the BB alone not with other products. Vitamin e continued use may help with dark / uneven skin tone but it can clogg pores I suggest use with caution if you already have congested or oily skin. Vitamin E will help support new skin cell regeneration. It is also an anti oxidant. You get 50ml in a tube that has its own box. The box is un nessasary packaging in my opinion. Not something I'm in a hurry to re purchase. As it's greasy it will transfer too. Use sparingly and allow to absorb.
