I purchased 3 lipsticks from Gerard Cosmetics. Fire engine, Underground and Grape Soda. As soon as I got them I fell in love with the gold packaging I thought it was so classy and just awesome as it stands out from any other lipsticks I have. These lipsticks are very opaque. Even though these are matte they are still creamy and very long lasting compared to other high end lipsticks I have. My favourite Colour is my everyday colour is underground. Definitely would love to collect the whole range of lipsticks!!

Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick Review
Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick Get inspired by the neutral nudes of the 90s with Jaclyn Hill's signature lipstick, 1995. Inspired by the 90s grunge revival and the beauty trends of an unforgettable decade, this iconic creation is a matte but creamy lip color that isn't trendy but a timeless expression of glam.

i brought the shade Vintage Rose and Rodeo Drive (along with an ultra matte) from the GC online shop, the shipping took a long time and the tracking wasn't updated a lot which made it a bit frustrating, online these colours looked different, however they were very similar which again was frustrating but anyway! i use Vintage Rose most and its such a nice pink colour, not too bright either, however mine came out of the packaging after using it like 3 times :( the lipstick itself is great but i can't say the same for the quality of packaging :(
1995 is my favourite lipstick from GC. I like the formula. It goes on easily and wears fairly well throughout the day. Obviously it doesn't last as long as a liquid lipstick, but because it reapplys and layers well, that's no issue. I like that they feel good quality but still somewhat affordable.
Tips: Wear on top of a lip liner for longer lasting colour.
I quite liked the brown shade I had of this lipstick. The shade was French something I'm sure. It wasn't sticky or crumbly and went on smooth and looked great. It lasted pretty well throughout the day however did have to re-apply a few times after eating and drinking. The lipstick I had was a creamy texture so it wasn't Matte but felt very comfortable on the lips.
I brought 6 colours as they were having some very good sales last month. I got the shades: Rodeo drive, Berry Smoothie, Fire Engine, Kimchi Doll, Cherry Cordial and 1995 (I'm yet to received this. I purchased it in a separate order). They are relatively creamy but if you have dry lips I would recommend putting on lip balm a bit before applying as I think these would not be too agreeable. I found that these lipstick sink into your lines so it would also be a good idea to exfoliate your lips before applying the lipstick. They have a funny smell, the best way I can describe it is that old makeup smell, if that makes sense? I found they were quite hard to apply at first but just needed to be warmed up. They have great pigmentation except for fire engine and cherry cordial but with a couple coats these two were great. They seem to last quite a lone time and the darker ones do stain your lips. They seem fine to reapply over the top. The packaging is quite cute a gold bullet like the Mac bullets you get but I do find that Gerard ones do look a bit cheap on closer inspection. I found it quite hard to find swatches of these lip colours and I did google them but a lot of photos were not true to colour.
Kimchi Doll: is a peachy nude. It is best suited for fair complexions. I think this is very similar in colour to Limecrime's babette but not as peachy and pigmented as Lime crime. I find this one can be mixed with other colours and goes great with rodeo drive and I imagine it would be nice with 1995. I would recommend wearing a lip liner with it. I find applying a darker shade of lip liner all over my lips darkens the colour and could look better on darker complexions.
Rodeo Drive: is a medium rosey pink. A lovely colour and probably my favourite so far. Good pigmentation
Berry Smoothie: I think this is very similar to Rodeo Drive but a little more berrie. I would not recommend getting both Berry Smoothie and Rodeo Drive unless your collecting them all. Has good pigmentation.
Fire Engine: A classic Hollywood red. Took a bit longer to warm up and I found it was not as pigmented as the colours described above but with a couple of coats it was stunning. I would recommend putting a lip liner on before.
Cherry Cordial: is a dark vampy burgundy with berry undertones. According to their website you can wear this sheer or wear as a opaque satin lipstick. I would wear a lip liner with this one. This is probably my least favourite while I love the colour it is very bold for me.
I definitely recommend buying from this company but I would wait until they bring out coupon codes on their facebook page as you can usually get free worldwide shipping and save at least 50%. They have great customer service as my first order went missing in the mail and they were happy to replace (my 1995 lipstick) and I received 50% discount on my next purchase.
Tips: Moisturise and exfoilate lips before applying lipstick
I’m seriously in love with Gerard Cosmetics lipsticks.
The packaging is so pretty and classy, I adore my gold bullets (and they look so nicely presented on my desk).
My small collection all has a nice scent - not overly offensive but not scentless either.
I have three Gerard lipsticks to my name at this point. I have three mattes, the arm brown 1995, deep red Cherry Cordial, and Nude. Despite all being matte, they all apply and last a bit differently.
1995 is quite a stiff and drying formula, so if you don’t like that I’d be wary of it. It also doesn’t last very well and fades, although it does fade evenly. However, it looks so nice on it’s enough for me to overlook its downsides. It’s just a really nice and easy wearable brown.
Cherry Cordial, ah Cherry Cordial. I have difficulty wearing this because it’s very dark. However, the formula is nice to apply. I’d recommend using a brush, however.
Nude is probably my favourite in my collection. Like most nudes, it’s a simple colour that works on most skin tones. I was actually a bit wary at first, because I felt like it looked too orange against my skin tone, but now I’ve really fallen in love.
GC lipsticks are a good medium - in between drugstore and high end - and you feel a bit special every time you put one on, haha. I definitely recommend you pick one up if you can.
Tips: I believe you can buy them from paganmarie.com, but it's still pricey on there. I recommend checking out the GC instagram page - they always have good discount codes and often include free international shipping!
I have 6 of the current 7 lipsticks from Gerard Cosmetics. I brought direct and found they have fast delivery. They are all quite matte formulas. They are long lasting. I find I need to apply a lip balm under and with some I need to build the colour up. But once application is made they last and look great. One thing I've found is that these make my teeth look really white. Considering they originate from a teeth whitening company I think this is great!
The shades I have are:
Nude: quite opaque with one swipe, it's a peachy nude.
Buttercup: light pink, quite sheer but buildable. It's creamier then their other shades I've found. Not as long lasting and I tend to get that gross line on the inside of my lips with this!
Tequila Sunrise: I was surprised to find this is my favourite! I don't tend to suit coral but I really liket it on me. It's very vibrant but wearable. Opaque and super long lasting!
1995: This colour represents the year 1995 well, it's a soft brown shade. Can be built up to a darker shade of brown. Very wearable.
Fire Engine: this will make your teeth look so white! A very beautiful classic red. Not as opaque as I thought it would be which was disappointing.
Cherry Cordial: dark vampy plum colour, like the red it takes a few swipes to build up the intensity you usually want with these kind of shades. I only just got this shade for Christmas so haven't tested its longevity yet.
They all have a lovely fruity scent which is nice.
The packaging is very nice, all gold encased. Similar size to MAC lipsticks but maybe a touch rounder. I have found a few faults, some wind down while applying which is very annoying.
Tips: Always check youtube or Gerard Cosmetics Instagram for promo codes, they ALWAYS have something happening!
After hearing all the hype on youtube about these I needed to try them. Although skeptical, I found a great discount code so went ahead and ordered 3 in the shades Nude, Buttercup and Cherry Cordial.
They come in gold packaging shaped like the MAC lippies which looks really cool now however they feel a little cheap (plastic isn't as 'heavy' as the MAC ones if that makes sense) and I suspect after a couple of months rolling around with my other products the gold may chip/flake off.
The actual lipsticks I would describe as a demi-matte finish with buttercup having the slightest bit more sheen than the rest (you wouldn't notice unless you swatches them all together). I absolutely LOVE the finish on these, I think they are so flattering. They don't look cracked and dry like some matte's however still give the matte effect which you can always add a gloss too if that's your thing.
They are all super opaque on the lips and I find I only need one or two coats with these to look fantastic. As Cat said, Buttercup is slightly more sheer than the others but can easily be built up.
The lasting power is incredible too, they last me a good few hours and are easy to touch up (doesn't go crumbly or gross)
My favourite surprisingly is Cherry Cordial, I chose this one on a bit of a whim but it is a STUNNING dark vampy berry shade that looks incredible on the lips - I will be taking this on my trip to Canada to wear (its winter there now) as it is the perfect winter shade! Be warned, it does stain though!
I feel like I'm rambling now but you get the gist I hope! These are amazing and definitely worth a go if you were thinking about purchasing them. They are overpriced in my opinion however there are plenty of coupon codes floating around so you never have to pay full price. I will definitely be purchasing more colours in the future to try!
I've been using Gerard Cosmetic lipsticks since they launched and I always have one of the colours in my bag.
The product itself is amazing, with the exception of Buttercup it has great pigmentation (1-2 swipes should do the trick), applies on smoothly and lasts about 5 hours on my lips. I don't notice any feathering and don't have to retouch as often.
The packaging is beautiful but I was disappointed to find it's actually quite cheap. It's incredibly light to the point I initially thought there was no product in the bullet). Out of the 7 I own I received 3 with dents (which I don't believe was due to shipping) and 1 with a crooked logo - not a deal breaker for me.
I would highly recommend 1995 and Cherry Cordial - bold colours. The one I like the least is Buttercup! It doesn't show up very well on my lips I have to lay down a pink lip liner before I can get some colour but it looks nothing like the swatches online.
I purchased my lipsticks using coupon codes and would recommend you check for available discounts before making a purchase.
From the sturdiness of the packaging to the style of the packaging to the actual product, I love these lipsticks. My only regret is that I only ordered two!
