I was super sceptical heading into this review, not just about the lashes themselves but also the eyeliner. I found the liner tip a little longer than what I am used to but after a couple of tries it was super easy as the tip is also thin. The lashes didn’t adhere well the first time I tried and after some trial and error I found that I need 2 coats of liner to hold them properly. This may differ depending on your eye shape too though. The length of the lash was perfect for my eye and required no trimming. These lashes are super easy to apply and lived up to my expectations. Much easier than using lash glue!!! These stayed on all evening despite my paranoid runs to the ladies to check they were still in place. I am going to get the natural set for day time use too!! The only negative I had was the liner felt like it radiated heat and made my eyes sting a little the first time I wore them. If you are sensitive to products then maybe just be cautious with the liner.

Tips: Apply two coats of liner to get better adhesion.
PACKAGING Good, clear tips and instructions with pictures to show each step. Professional looking but tray is the usual flimsy plastic, as budget brands of magnetic eyelashes I have used has come in a case which would be better for travel purposes. The eyeliner packaging is very good with a mess free stopper and fine tip.
APPLICATION Application is tricky at first but gets easier with more use. It is definitely the longest by far to apply successfully, compared to the click on magnetic lashes (upper and lower sets) as it can easily turn messy. Messiness includes smearing when applying, goes into inner corner of eye which stings, gets patchy when adjusting/removing lashes on and off in the early process of application. With the eyeliner, you have to apply quite thickly as trying a thin, sleek, more natural line will not result in magnetising. Easier if you are going for an evening look or if you like the thick dramatic look during the day.
MAGNETISM Not very strong. Needs 3-4 coats of eyeliner to ensure that the lashes stay throughout it's wear. When doing it is best to wait till each layer dries. Even then the inner corners did not magnetise properly. I managed to disguise it by creating thicker lines and sliding the lashes outward towards the outer corners.
Overall the lashes were pretty, wearable and it's a good concept. I would wear them again for occasions where I had the time to perfect the look, especially a more formal or evening look. However it is not something I would purchase again as it is not worth the fuss, unless you have the time to use it on a daily/regular basis where you can perfect it, and are happy with a thick liner look.
I would probably consider repurchasing if the eyeliner was developed with stronger mangnatism and thicker consistency or Glam by Manicare created a magnetic mascara so the lashes could sit closer to the lash line. Also I would prefer if they developed the lashes into have smaller and more micro magnets so those who want to trim it, can. And it may help the lash line magnetising better.
Tips: 1- Apply it in coats and thickly to guarantee magnetising throughout the day 2- keep the eyeliner in your handbag or pocket in case of top up if the lashes seem to not be staying throughout its wear 3- Says to wait 60 seconds to dry before applying the lashes, do wait longer as if it's wet it is harder to adjust without creating patchiness.
I was so thrilled to be picked for this Glam by Manicare magnetic eyeliner and lash system trial and so wanted to love the products but they were a miss for me.
The eyeliner does give a professional looking result but lifted easily when pressing down the eyelashes and it seems like a lot is needed so I can't see it lasting 50 applications as stated.
The eyelashes I received called Willow were Natural and rather beautiful but they wouldn't stay down in the corners of my eyes.
Overall a cool concept but very expensive compared to regular lashes and didn't work well personally for me so I wouldn't recommend them.
I found these look cute once you get them on. But getting them on is difficult. I had to put quite a few layers of the eyeliner on for them to stick and I found that the ends wouldn’t stick down. They kept flicking up and I had to really put force on them to get them to stay in place. I felt they weren’t as close to the lash line as I’d like and there was a small gap between my natural eyelashes and the fake ones. It would be good if there was a magnet mascara or if the magnets were completely along the eyelash rather than in 3 places. I also found that eyeshadow made them come unstuck and I had to keep adjusting them because of this.
Tips: Put eyeshadow on first and then mascara. Once dry, put eyeliner on and then the eyelashes.
I was super stoked to be selected to trial this system. I admit, I've never used false lashes before and also tend to stay away from liquid eyeliner as I'm very much a novice, but I was determined to give this system a go.
Firstly, the packaging. Both components come in black cardboard packaging with instructions on the back. The eyeliner has a gold lid, which definitely speaks to the glam side of things. The lashes themselves are in flimsy plastic packaging, but do have a resusable clear plastic cover. They are also handily marked Left or Right.
The cardboard packaging suggests that the lashes be sized up against your eyes so you can trim them if they are too long, but this will be extremely difficult as you are liable to trim off the magnets at the end. Luckily, this wasn't an issue for me.
The eyeliner is surprisingly easy to apply as it has a very fine tip and it is super pigmented. The formula seems quite watery, as bubbles appear on the applicator as you pull it out of the bottle, but I didn’t experience any dripping. The liner has to be applied in a relatively thick line and allowed to dry for 60 seconds. Then it should be a simple click and go for the lashes. Unfortunately, not so simple. I found it was especially hard getting them to stick on the inner eye, so that I would be applying more eyeliner to try and get the adhesion. I found the middle magnet was the most reliable, and the two outer magnets would often pop off and wouldn’t be stuck back down except with the application of more liner. Often they would also pull the liner off, creating gaps.
Once they were on, they did look good. I got the Willow version and found that they were darker than my own lashes so didn’t bother with mascara. As long as you have applied them near your natural lash line, the magnets aren’t very noticeable. They are also very easy to remove.
Overall, I was disappointed in this system. It’s a really cool idea, and I like that the lashes are reusable, but there needs to be some refining. A stronger formula, or a magnet line on the lashes themselves perhaps.
So where to start. Its a two product stystem. The eyeliner has magnetic particles in it to attract the lashes . So glue is no more.
The lashes themselves are great quality and fit my eye shape perfectly. Only thing is Im not sure of what would happen for people who needed to trim them as theres onlyb3 magnetic strips across the lash.
The liner needs to be shaken as I found on my first attempt the lashes were not sticking as much as they should be. The liner was highly pignented and for me easy to apply the brush could have been thicker for a stronger application as I had to keep on reapplying to get the stickability factor.
Overall really cool concept BUT you definitley need to give it a few tries to master the application process
Thumbs up and kisses from me!
This is a real next level beauty item, the eyeliner is quite runny an needs at least a good 60 seconds drying time to be able to apply the lashes, the eyeliner wand is a decent size but the tip is quite pointy, lol i poked me eye a few times an the lashes do come off if you dont apply enough eyeliner hehe but other then that it is a awesome product, and once you get used to it its great, time saving and looks good, i have already recommended to famiky and friends, x
Tips: Steady hand when applying eyeliner, At least 2 coats
I've had my fair share of struggling with false lashes - normally I might add 1 hour before i'm supposed to be at the event i'm going to! And it always ends the same way - ripping them off, leaving them off and starting again with Mascara only.
So when the chance came up to try this new revolutionary new technique I was all in!
I was pleasantly surprised by the eyeliner. I've always used pencils in the past. It went on evenly and looked good i'll be using it in the future - even without the lashes.
The lashes then just click on top of the eyeliner. You need to be careful when you peel them off otherwise you might get glue from the tray on them, and of course to get the right lash on the right eye (they're marked left and right) but otherwise off you go.
I found it a wee bit fiddly in the beginning, but I persevered and voila. Added a bit of mascara to blend them with my own lashed. When they were on, They looked good and stayed on all night and afterwards came off easily and I popped them back on the tray for next time.
They might not be an answer for a pro, but for a gumby falsie applier it's the perfect answer.
So I was intrigued. And before you see the 5/5 and think 'she liked them', let me tell you...it wasn't always this way! I'm marking these so highly after a few practise attempts. After attempt number 1, I was ready to go full mean-reviewer on them.
The eyeliner is actually a really nice eyeliner - it applies evenly. If you can already apply liquid eyeliner, it's no different. If you can't apply eyeliner, then yeah, there's going to be a learning curb with these lashes.
You need quite a thick line, which isn't my usual style, but the lashes click on top and hide most of it, so you don't look like an eyeliner meme with super-thick wings.
The lashes took a few attempts to line up, but once on - they did indeed stay on! They didnt feel overly heavy and the natural style I reviewed were just lovely.
I think the fact you can reuse the lashes, and that the eyeliner will last a while makes these an economical investment. And the end result is really pleasing.
Best of all. NO GLUE!
Tips: Use a light coat of mascara once you've applied the lashes to blend them more with your own.
I was very excited to be selected to trial the Glam by Manicure Magnetising Eyeliner and Lash System as I was keen to try something way out of my comfort zone. I am a stay at home and my usual routine is a swipe of BB cream, dash of mascara and a quick slick of lip balm!
The system comes packaged in small black boxes- one for the eyeliner, and one for the lashes. The lashes are labelled left and right which is helpful.
I am going to cut to the chase- these were SO fiddly to put on. I gave myself half an hour and really needed every minute to get them on properly. So definitely did not meet the easy to apply claim! I found you needed a lot of the liner, in quick a thick line to ensure there was enough product for the lashes to clip to. I really liked the look of the full lashes - they looked super glam and lush, but I just couldn’t get them to sit straight for long, one end would just keep popping off! I wore the lashes for a full hour to see how well they would last. Within half an hour they were hanging off ! I enjoyed trialling this system as it was a lot of fun but I would be annoyed if I had paid for them as they were so hard to apply and then didn’t stay in place.
