I had never tried stick on lashes before these, so this comes from a point of view of a complete noob! Unpackaging the lashes was easy enough, and they peeled easily off the tray. Application was a little fiddly, I used tweezers to help get them in the right place, but didn’t take more than 5 minutes. They have added a very natural looking fullness to my existing lashes. A good day-to-day style not an extravagant out on the town look. I did not find them overly comfortable. I wouldn’t say they were uncomfortable, but I definitely did not at any stage forget I was wearing them throughout the day. I found myself wanting to rip them off multiple times during the day to free my lids from the weight and awkward feeling. I did persist throughout the day however and found they did stay stuck on very well. I did not have any lifting at the edges so good longevity. I would not use them again. I found the feeling of them to be very annoying. This may not be specific to this particular brand though, and more my feelings on stick-on lashes in general.

Tips: Use tweezers to help apply
Until I tried these Manicare Glam self adhesive Lashes I was a self applied lash virgin. Now I’m a little wiser but no expert. The packing was simple and stylish & the lashes were easy to get out without causing damage. The instructions on the back of the packet were pretty straight forward so I got my tweezers & magnifying led lit mirror and sat myself at the table for maximum stability as I’d had visions of potentially sticking both sets of lashes together. As instructed I carefully removed the first lash, checked it for length & popped it into place. Easy peasy. No adjustments required & I was feeling confident enough to give myself a lash laden wink. Unfortunately lash no. 2 wasn’t quite so easy. The box said to store the lashes in a cool, dry place but somehow lash no.2 must have gotten quite warm while I applied the first one as it was really stuck to the plastic. It reminded me of sticky chewing gum so I popped it in the fridge for 10 minutes which helped a bit but because I was forced to stretch the glue to remove the lash from it’s packing the result was what looked like a furry caterpillar that had gotten a fright & curled in on itself. Sadly when glue is involved there was no coming back so I opted to spend the afternoon with only one lash on-thankfully I didn’t have to go out anywhere. The lash that worked looked great and surprisingly natural. I was genuinely pleased with the results. Though the instructions failed to mention it’s best to pre-curl your natural lashes before applying mascara to both the natural lashes and the stick ons otherwise it looks like you have two sets of eyelashes. I only knew to do that because I have had lashes applied in the past for modelling purposes. The lashes are lightweight & the glue gives the appearance of black eyeliner. I found the density was just right. Thick enough to look lush but not obviously fake. The length did brush against my glasses but that happens when I use lash extending mascara anyway. The lashes lasted for several hours & were easy to remove with no residual stickiness. My only disappointment was the lash that failed. This product isn’t expensive & true to it’s word, I didn’t react to the glue. I will probably try them again but buy 2 packs & hope to get lashes on both eyes. Though it would be better if they came in a 4 pack-just in case. I would recommend the brand, but I would also explain what can go wrong, which is why I gave it a 3/5.
Tips: Curl your natural lashes & use mascara to get the best looking result & definitely keep them cold to minimise the potential for things not going to plan.
The Natural "Billie" Glam by Manicare Pre-glued Lashes were the first set of pre-glued lashes I have tried, and I was impressed with them. The lashes look gorgeous on. They blended in flawlessly with my eyelashes and enhanced my natural eyelashes, without looking like I was wearing false lashes. The "Billie" style would have to be my perfect 'natural look' false lashes.
I tend to only wear lashes for special occasions, but these lashes could be worn anytime (day or night). They were easy to apply, even for someone who doesn't wear lashes too often. I used a set of tweezers to help me apply them and was easily able to manipulate them into place. As someone who always loses my lash glue, it was such a benefit that these are pre-glued!!
Manicare has such a great range of different styles. I really want to try the Natural Jasmine and Length Heidi next.
Tips: These would be great to throw in your bag when you're heading away, as they are pre-glued they are just so convenient.
These are a great false lash. The Billie is such a natural looking lash. It gave my lashes a more fuller darker look all while still looking like natural lashes. They have a nice soft and flexible band making them easier to apply. Being preglued makes it quicker and less messy to apply. No having waiting for glue to get sticky before applying, they're just ready to apply, so good! Once applied, they stuck well and felt comfortable on. No heavy or tightness. They looked so good. I wore the lashes for most of the day and they held up so good. I didn't have to adjust them at all, once they were in place and stuck, they were there for the day and looked fabulous. Having stunning eyelashes just finishes off a look and boosts the confidence. When it came to removing the lashes at the end of the day, they were still well stuck and in place but also when i started to peel them off, they did come away fine. No major pulling on the skin and no natural lashes pulled and lost either. I really enjoyed these lashes and would recommend them, especially for a falsie newbie since it's just a stick on and go, no messy glue needed. Over all a great natural looking lash.
Tips: They do stick down quite well so when trying on to see if they need trimmed just gently place them on so they don't actually fully stick. Once applied to lash line, gently press the length of the band to ensure a good solid stick .
I was very excited to try these out and see what they were all about! Packaging is a big think for myself and they do look good in what they come in. The lashes themselves are really pretty and are a perfect natural lash! However I’m not a fan of how thick the band is and they’re super sticky!! You definitely need to know where you’re putting them or you’ll peel off your eyeshadow like I did myself. I think if they had a thin band on them I would love them so much more! They are very sticky and lasted the whole night I was out so super impressed with that.
Tips: Make sure you use tweezers to apply and cut if necessary. Stick the middle down before the edges to see if you’re happy with the placement.
I loved giving these a go for a wedding last weekend. I’ve used fake lashes a few times, but never tried pre-glued ones and they are a game changer! Found these super easy to apply, but importantly they lasted really well (applied at about 10am, removed over 12 hours later). Would definitely use again!
Tips: Make sure you give yourself some time, i find when I’m rushed trying to do it I struggle more and take longer!
Overall, I liked these lashes. I did still struggle a little to get them to sit in the right place on my lashline (I used tweezers) but once in place they stayed put for the day. The glue strip was quite thick so I put some eyeliner on to help cover it up. The lashes looked great on, definitely helped open my eyes up and added well needed volume!! The only down side is they are only single use, so with the price of them I would just use for certain occasions/holidays etc. Thank you for the opportunity to try these :)
Tips: Tweezers needed to help with application.
I often wear lashes for events and special occasions when I’m wanting a more dramatic look, but I’ve never tried a pair of pre-glued lashes before now.
The biggest struggle for the glue-yourself type of lash is not only the waiting game between applying the glue, waiting for it to dry off, then applying the lash to the lid but also the chance of getting glue over fingers, lashes, or your eye lid.
These Glam pre-glued lashes by Manicare make the application of lashes a dream! I found lining the lashes up on my lid and pressing into place very quick. There is no messy glue to apply first, and no waiting to ‘set’. All you need to do is gently peel the lash from the tray, check the size is suitable and then press lightly down to ensure they’re secure on the lid!
The packaging is classic black box that has clear section on the first for seeing the lashes before you buy, with a white plastic tray holding the lashes in place inside the box. ‘Billie’ are a delicate mink effect style, they’re ¾ lashes that give a more natural subtle volume to your look. I found I could wear these lashes all day without them weighing down my lid as they’re very lightweight, they’re also hypoallergenic and cruelty free which is fantastic! These lashes stayed in place all day, without any concern and were easy to pull off to remove.
One downside are these are single use lashes, and while very convenient to use, it felt a little wasteful only using them the once. However, in saying that, these Billie Lashes are fantastic for anyone who struggles with the more traditional glue lash application, and if you only wear lashes for special occasions these would be a fantastic option too!
Tips: Apply your lashes as the last step in your makeup routine.
I wanted to love the idea of thesw lashes, no faffing around with glue and waiting for them to dry down. However as soon as I removed these lashes from the packet, I knew the pre-glued band was way too thick to look natural on me. I’m not the kind of person to wear thick eyeliner, so these lashes stood out and made me look like one of those baby dolls with the big eyes. They were so sticky that if I had to readjust them, the lash band actually bent, this was a real shame that they couldn’t hold their integrity. The lashes themselves are delicate and pretty, they would give such a lovely natural look if they weren’t on such a thick band. They would have good staying power but they’re just not for me and I wouldn’t recommend. I will be gluing my own fake lashes from now on to get a more subtle lash look.
Tips: Wear these with eyeliner to reduce the obvious look of the band
From first glance the lashes look well presented in the packaging. Once unwrapped they are marked L (left) and R (right) which helps before applying. The part which I felt for me was difficult was applying them with 1 set of tweezers as they stuck and realised that the sticky substance is quite finiky, so luckily I had another set of tweezers which helped hold each end of the lash to apply. I tried on my left eye and it seemed to go on nicely, it took me about 3 minutes or so but stood out quite abit which I was not a fan of, as I prefer a more natural look. Then I tried onto my right eye and that's were it went wrong. Because of it's sticky texture which I understand is suppose to hold onto your natural lash it went on a bit squew so I tried to fix it but it kept sticking to the tweezers which made it frustrating. I peeled it off to try again and this time some of the lashes stuck to the sticky part that goes above your natural lash but I reapplied and it just looked awful. To be honest I do not think I would try this product again. It may work for others but it's not a product I would use.
Tips: Try not use your fingers to apply as the lashes are quite sticky, much easier applying with 2 tweezers on either end.
