I often wear lashes for events and special occasions when I’m wanting a more dramatic look, but I’ve never tried a pair of pre-glued lashes before now.
The biggest struggle for the glue-yourself type of lash is not only the waiting game between applying the glue, waiting for it to dry off, then applying the lash to the lid but also the chance of getting glue over fingers, lashes, or your eye lid.
These Glam pre-glued lashes by Manicare make the application of lashes a dream! I found lining the lashes up on my lid and pressing into place very quick. There is no messy glue to apply first, and no waiting to ‘set’. All you need to do is gently peel the lash from the tray, check the size is suitable and then press lightly down to ensure they’re secure on the lid!
The packaging is classic black box that has clear section on the first for seeing the lashes before you buy, with a white plastic tray holding the lashes in place inside the box. ‘Billie’ are a delicate mink effect style, they’re ¾ lashes that give a more natural subtle volume to your look. I found I could wear these lashes all day without them weighing down my lid as they’re very lightweight, they’re also hypoallergenic and cruelty free which is fantastic! These lashes stayed in place all day, without any concern and were easy to pull off to remove.
One downside are these are single use lashes, and while very convenient to use, it felt a little wasteful only using them the once. However, in saying that, these Billie Lashes are fantastic for anyone who struggles with the more traditional glue lash application, and if you only wear lashes for special occasions these would be a fantastic option too!
I wanted to love the idea of thesw lashes, no faffing around with glue and waiting for them to dry down. However as soon as I removed these lashes from the packet, I knew the pre-glued band was way too thick to look natural on me. I’m not the kind of person to wear thick eyeliner, so these lashes stood out and made me look like one of those baby dolls with the big eyes. They were so sticky that if I had to readjust them, the lash band actually bent, this was a real shame that they couldn’t hold their integrity. The lashes themselves are delicate and pretty, they would give such a lovely natural look if they weren’t on such a thick band. They would have good staying power but they’re just not for me and I wouldn’t recommend. I will be gluing my own fake lashes from now on to get a more subtle lash look.
Tips: Wear these with eyeliner to reduce the obvious look of the band
