The colour I used is perfect, being blonde it is hard to find one that doesn't come out as orange. The consistency is perf! You do not need a lot of the product, so has lasted me ages! The thickness of the pencil is great, it is thicker than a pencil and is shaped to help shape the brows. This makes it super easy to use!

Reviews
The Hourglass Arch Brow Pencil is super simple to use and it can be used for both a soft daytime look or a bold night brow. I love the consistency and the angled tip - it makes shaping brows effortless plus it has a handy spool to comb the hairs back into place.
It's really hard to find a brow pencil to match my brow and easy to use as am not an expert. It's easily blendable and you can make it as thick or thin as you want. It also lasts quite long.
This stuff is the business, for starters the packaging is gorgeous, what a beautiful case! The colour range is amazing, and the usability factor is top notch, with its sleek slim design its easy to use like a pen, the double ended applicator works wonders and it's nice to have a good quality spoolie on the end, with a cap is a bonus. The formula glides on and the unique shape to it means that you get a very natural result. I have had so many compliments on my brows, even when they are in dire need of some maintenance this product gets me through till my next brow tidy. Initially I thought the price was a bit steep, but considering I have used this nearly every day for the last 7 months and i still have a relatively good amount left in the stick is very impressive. I will 100% be purchasing this again. I do find it goes on more smoothly if I have some form of base on, but even on a bare face it shapes and carves nicely.
Tips: You don't need any tips, this stuff is a breeze to use!
I really like this pencil because it looks like a powder once on, instead of having a waxy consistency so looks beautifully soft.
The shape is excellent because you can go light with small strokes, or a bold brow by using thicker side.
Excellent range of colours.
Probably better however for someone experienced in brow products than beginners as there is a bit of a knack of not making it too thin or thick
Tips: don't wind up too high, has a tendancy to break
I've been using this for a couple of years now, I have dark brown hair bordering black, and this is a light brown version that looks so natural on the brows! So easy to use and has a perfectly thin tip that makes it easy to draw with it.
Tips: After you apply moisturiser on your whole face, let it dry for a bit. I find it a bit tricky/needs more application if you put it immediately after applying your moisturiser.
When I sat down to do this review I was sure it was going to be a rave review, but the more I think about it the more I realise this isn't my favourite product for brows.
I bought this a long time ago when you could buy from Sephora using YouShop. The packaging is the usual Hourglass excellence. The tube is metal with a cap at each end. The colour is somewhat like an oil slick and looks awesome. On one end is a spooley to brush the colour out and shape your brows. On the other end is the brow pencil. The one flaw with the design of the product is that the caps are different sizes. This means when you are putting the caps back on you can put the smaller spooley cap on the pencil end and smush it a bit. On the pencil end you can turn it to push up more product. The pencil itself is a thin rectangle which is great for application.
The colour of the product is great, I have the shade Soft Brunette. This is a great natural shade, a soft brown with a grey sort of undertone. This is fantastic for a natural look to your brows. Application is easy as the rectangle makes it easy to fill in the brows. The product itself is great formulation to glide onto the brows, and once brushed out looks great. The product itself is also a wee bit waxy so the brows stay in place quite well.
Personally I do like this product. I love to take it when travelling as it is so compact. It is also a very quick product to use. However for everyday use I don't use this as I like to use powder to be able to change my brow shape more easily.
I was quite surprised at the colour options and I find the double ended function very efficient. The spoolie is quite good and the caps protect both ends nicely. The formula draws on nice leaving a very natural result and is super good for filling brows in fast due to its wider tip, but it will be a bit difficult for beginners to draw individual hairs. It stays on really well and doesn't smudge easily, but it is a bit soft and brittle so dont twist too much product out when applying. There is a lot of product so this will be a purchase that will last.
Tips: Powder brows first before applying if you have oily skin.
It's hard to justify spending upwards of fifty dollars on an eyebrow pencil. I understand. It's hard to justify it to myself, too. But when I bought this pencil I understood sometimes it's worth spending more money on one truly good product, especially considering you could easily spend $50 buying three different cheap eyebrow pencils and be disappointed by all of them.
Hourglass brow products come in a much wider range of shades than they used to—this pencil comes in nine shades. I use dark brunette. It's a really decently cool-toned deep brown, which is hard to find in cheaper brands.
The pencil has a wider wedge-style tip rather than being the super fine style. It's good for filling in brows quickly but perhaps not so good if you're used to imitating individual hairs.
I find this stays on really well and isn't at risk of a smudge when I rest my head in my hands.
The only very disappointing thing about this is that it is susceptible to breakage, and mine did break off before it was all the way done. And as it's so expensive, you really don't want that to happen!
Tips: Handle with care!
So I'm kinda new to this eyebrow filling game so I decided to get expert help and an easy to use product- and lo and behold I ended up with this. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase! It's well worth the price because it is so darn great. It's soft and natural looking with build-able colour. So if you're after a natural brow or a dramatic brow you can have both. I have one in the dark brown or "dark brunette" shade and it matches perfectly with my dark eyebrow hairs. The texture of this product is something to be enjoyed too.You can't even feel it on your skin, it doesn't smudge, it doesn't run and best of all it manages to survive through the rain. I also love the angled tip, it makes it incredibly easy for a novice to draw in short strokes/ and fake hairs that aren't there.
