I love this primer, it really does what it says and extends the life of my foundation. I love the silky feel and you don’t need a lot, which is good because it is expensive.

Tips: Sephora sells the mini size - try it, you’ll love it!
I had 3 Veil primer samples I had been saving which I was able to get 5 uses out of and since testing this out I can understand why it is loved by the Beauty review community.
The primer is a milky white consistency, using my fingertips I would concentrate on applying the primer to the tops of my cheeks where pores are visible, chin, forehead and then what ever is left over I rub this into the rest of my face.
The primer is unbelievably smooth to apply, it is absorbed instantly and it leaves a white shade across my face which isn't noticeable once I apply my foundation. My skin feels like silk, each time I used this primer I couldn't believe how soft my skin was and how well it fills in my pores. It brightens my face and slightly reduces the redness that I get around my nose and cheeks.
When applying foundation afterwards it feels effortless, I spend less time blending and buffing the foundation into my skin, and the foundation is longer wearing, if I apply a full face in the morning, normally by 2pm there is visible signs of fading but if I use the Hourglass veil primer it will last to around 8-9pm, I am highly impressed.
The downfall I have with this product is the price, it isn't budget friendly so I've been saving for the 30 ml which I cant wait to get my hands on.
I would highly recommend this despite the price, it is worth every cent!
Works well for blurring and feels very silky going on. Extends wear of make up nicely.
I do find it can be make my skin looking a bit dry and can magnify my fine lines under eyes. Good if you like a super matte finishing
This would be my favourite primer. It makes your skin feel so silky smooth. I believe it does extend my makeup and makes it much nicer to put on. I'm not sure about redness though. The only reason I wouldn't 100% recommend is due to the price, but a mini is totally worth it
I've been using this primer for over a year now and would easily rate it one of the best I've tried (and there are plenty!). The texture of your skin after applying this is silky smooth and it helps your foundation to sit lightly without caking. I usually use all day foundations, so I'm not sure if this helps with the foundation sitting nicely all day or not, but it certainly stops the cakiness that you sometimes get later in the day.
Tips: Give yourself plenty of time to apply this and dry before your foundation goes on.
This is one of those primers which toes the line between hydrating the skin and filling in imperfections along with lasting all day long. However with that I don’t think it does the best job in terms of filling in pores and lines as say benefit porefessional. It is more of an all rounder for those who don’t have super dry skin or big pores to fill. It’s creamy and incredibly luxurious to apply and really helps makeup stick. For me this is best applied in combination with a truly hardcore pore primer. Probably a bit pricy for me to repurchase for that reason
This definitely has a signature texture. When you pump the product it comes out almost like a silky foam. When you put it on you feel that texture - addressing any oilyness on your face but not drying either. I have dry skin and I tend to use this in warmer weather as it holds my makeup together longer. Slightly expensive, but keen to repurchase!
Tips: A tiny bit will go a long way.
I originally tried a mini of this I got given at Mecca and didn’t like it but when I got given another sample I thought I’d try it again as I’d heard so many people say they loved it. I realised I had been using way too much and that’s why my foundation wasn’t lasting very long. Once I halved the amount I was using my base looked amazing!! It definitely increases wear time and doesn’t leave me looking like a greasy mess. I would recommend powdering down your foundation as it does tend to create a tiny bit of a white caste just with foundation. I’m guessing it’s the spf in it. I always wear sunscreen everyday so I don’t really see any benefits to having it in the primer but some may like it. It is an expensive product but then it’s by Hourglass so it’s to be expected. The only thing I don’t like is that when you get to the bottom it’s really hard to get the rest of the product out. I used some bamboo skewers broken in half and managed to use the rest of the bottle (needs must right) I’ll definitely purchase this primer again as I really love how my foundation looks on top of it.
My skin is really dry so when I want to wear quite heavy makeup I find this useful to prime with.
I totally agree with this being described as silky and weightless. It really helps my foundation glide on.
Can't say I have noticed it cancel any redness. It does however do a decent job at minimising pores. I really like how it does not ball up like some other primers do on me.
If this was less expensive and worked better for redness it would probably be my holy grail!
Tips: Try the smallest size first, a little bit goes a long way.
Best primer I have ever used for longwear at big events or for long work days.
A beautiful smooth, velvet feeling formula. Has a small hint of blue in the undertone that helps colour correct the skin - it's almost not noticeable unless you pay close attention before applying foundation over top!
Helps soften the appearance of pores, fine lines and smooths the skin creating a more flawless base before applying makeup.
Tips: I love the concentrate this through my Tzone area to create a longwear effect that will help smooth larger pores on my nose and chin. That way you're not wasting product all over the face on areas where makeup doesn't wear off quickly anyway.
